This is a «bad» Cracker Barrel. I’m generally a fan but have now had three bad experiences here. In one case our waitress was the hostess so you can imagine the poor service. On two occasions the biscuits were inedible hockey pucks. Tonight we were told the wait would be 15 – 20 mins. We left after 35 mins without even a «sorry.» And that was with a restaurant full of empty tables. They seem not to staff appropriately and then not filling of the seating resulting in frustrating waits. You can do better Cracker Barrel. I’ll still eat there because I love me some hash brown casserole. But we won’t be back to this location.

The service or lack thereof has gone down hill fast. It seems like every time my wife and I go we have to find a waiter.

I always get good food and fast service at the Cracker Barrel. You can order breakfast anytime and sometimes I order that for supper. Can’t beat their farmhand sized breakfast that is large enough to share. The Meals are good with choice vegetable sides. Unlimited corn bread or biscuits. Prices are very reasonable. It is your best choice for lunch for the money over fast food. All the complaints about wait times and service, well of course you are going to wait longer on Friday night and weekends. There is NO wifi available. With cracker barrel a popular stop for travelers wifi should be available.

The food is very good and the service is great with reasonable prices and a decent wait time.

I never thought I’d change my opinion so drastically, but I must. The last few times that I’ve been to this location, the food is less than mediocre. Today I got the chef or cobb salad, I honestly can’t remember which one it was called. The turkey in it was so disgusting, the person who brought it out pointed it out and offered to bring more out… without me even mentioning it. The waiter brought me out more but that batch was just as bad. The tomatoes were wilted. I literally left half of the salad and the waiter asked me if I’d like a box… ummmm Dude, you knew better. My dad’s eggs weren’t cooked right and his pork chops were fatty. Note to wait staff all across America, if something doesn’t go right in the kitchen, it’s not your fault. Nor does offering to remove an item from a bill come out your check, it actually improves your tip… in my world.

Cracker Barrel is a great family restaurant! The food is pretty good and they do have great salads for a lighter meal. I particularly like coming here more for breakfast. I will say they have the best pancakes ever! I give it four out of five because it isn’t local or fresh fresh from the garden. Our waitress was attentive and friendly! Never have had bad service at this CB!

Like any Cracker Barrel that I’ve been to, this one features good old country style cooking. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, dumplings and fried okra. Joe got the campfire beef, which seems to be quite popular!(The last two times he tried to order it, they were out of it.) The waitstaff is nice and the restaurant here is clean. And in the gift shop, it’s nice to see Halloween items out early.

I’ve eaten at this Cracker Barrel many times, and they used to be fairly rock-solid and dependable for a good meal, but a friend and I recently had a mediocre lunch there — my third mediocre meal there in a row — so I feel I need to post this review. Burnt pancakes, raw bacon, stale coffee, crusty and dry hash brown casserole… I blame all of this on the kitchen. Tasteless mashed potatoes, lumpy gravy, cold stringy green beans(complete with stems) and tasteless country fried steak not cooked enough to be crispy on the outside or warmed through on the inside. Depending on how much of the food prep is done onsite, this could either be the kitchen or the corporate buyers. If I were to leave a separate review for the waitstaff, it would be a 5-star review. If you go, ask to be seated in Jim’s section. Jim is the best! Jim is the reason I kept going back, but even Jim can’t make up for the bad stuff coming out of that kitchen. I also want to say that the waitstaff — every time — brought me new food, and it was better the second time. Better, but not what it used to be.

Service was not good and food was worse, got the special and left most of it on the table and was never asked if meal was good by cashier!

If you only get the fried chicken with Mac & cheese or dumplings with the green beans, biscuits and apple butter than you are safe. I got the chicken fried steak and it was rubber since they did not cook it all the way and this was not just one time…

Our food was delicious. He had breakfast, I had vegetable plate. Our drinks were refilled promptly. I requested vinegar and hot sauce. It arrived with my meal. Mary was our waitress and she was excellent. I wish every server I had was as friendly and efficient as she was!

Not the best Cracker Barrel by any means but the food is good. Service is less than steller and depends on your server. Breakfast is usually the best bet with light fluffy pancakes and very good sausage. Bacon is usually over cooked. Best dish is Rainbow Trout or Chicken and dumplings. Skip the apple dumpling(2800 calories) and get the icecream instead. Green beans and grits along with fried apples are good sides. You use to have a wait when they first opened but now you only experience a wait on Fri/Sat nights or Sun brunch.

I love Cracker Barrel, however it’s important to note that I never get anything except breakfast. The Pancakes are always fresh and fluffy tasting, real maple syrup is one of my favorite things about this place next to the thick cut crispy bacon. It’s aaaaaalllllllllll goooooooooood at Cracker Barrel.

I know, I know… almost everyone has dined at the Cracker Barrel at least once, I know already… geeshhh…LOL So, it was a good stop in after a long long day of shopping with my Mom 2 days before Christmas. She treated us since we’d been out shopping for like 5 hours(did I mention I hate shopping anytime?) I opted out of cooking after this long haul of a day so I know my Mom loves Cracker Barrel so I suggested it and off we went(in the pouring rain). Parking was a challenge and thankfully Mom has a handicap window decal. The place was mobbed as to be expected during the holiday season more than usual. We were seated promptly and I ran into an old friend who worked there but we weren’t seated in her area. The thing with Cracker Barrel is the menu has soo many good country items that its hard for me to choose, so as usual I was stalling while Mom had decided on the chicken pecan salad. Finally I ordered ala’carte, and had the fried catfish, hashbrown casserole(my fav) and coleslaw. Wow they loaded that coleslaw. I also ordered two biscuits with a side of apple butter(never really understood what that is?, but it taste great on biscuits!) Our waitress was courteous but our order was slow coming out. The food was hot though. I also had a hot green tea and my Mom, her usual, coke no ice! We chowed down, and soon plates were empty. LOL but we both were feeling much better. Cracker Barrel is an inexpensive way to dine well on country style cooking, its plain olé good eats and I am sure some are happy about this new location off Man-O-War! I will always return as long as the menu and foods stays the same

Cracker barrel restaurants are pretty standard, but this particular one just goes beyond the standard. The management and wait staff are great! I work in the activities department at a nursing home. We take our residents to this specific restaurant a few times a year. They have always treated us well and with respect. We have taken our residents to another cracker barrel in town and did not get such great service. I am so pleased to see that good management has not gone by the wayside even at chain restaurants.

I liked this place, but the boyfriend didn’t. First thing, the place is really crowded on a friday night. They have a little shop part of the restaurant, and it was just packed full of people. You get to feeling a little cornered standing around waiting for a table after awhile. The food tastes pretty good, but not amazing for the most part. May be just what we ordered. I got the fried cod and my sides were fries and dumplings. The fish was tasty, but not the freshest best quality fish(had some skin I think) — about what you expect for the price. They didn’t give too many fries, and the dumplings are just like big bread balls in country gravy sauce, and I actually like that, but I was expected a little more chicken. Boyfriend got the sampler — meatloaf, country ham, chicken dumplings. Mashed potatoes, turnips greens, and beans as sides. The meatloaf was great, they gave him a huge slice. But the dumplings — it was like a half cup of noodles with literally one piece of chicken. And the ham — tiny tiny piece, probably wouldn’t even cover one slice of toast. Ham tasted good though he said. His sides were great — turnip greens were soggy but I like that. Mashed potatoes are super fluffy, couldn’t be better really. Beans were good too. We also got corn muffins too, but I didn’t like them. They aren’t the sweet kind; they’re salty and not very buttery. To pay, you have to go stand in line at the register, which was kind of annoying. Took another 10 minutes. I would go back to the restaurant, but the boyfriend says he won’t again.

Its Cracker Barrel, Whats not to Love. Everything is good and breakfast is crazy good. MMmm sausage, gravy, eggs, biscuits, grits. And cant go wrong with beef stew with corn muffins too. Eat here. the only problem sometimes is the wait. So make sure you time it just right, if not then look at all the cool stuff to buy and play the t-board game while you wait for your food to be brought to you after you order.
