One of my favorite restaurants! Food is really great. Don’t go here unless you’re hungry, cause you’ll want to pig out on the delicious fries with their house sauce. They have really great burgers and salads. Actually everything here is delicious. Also, the dining room is small but very nicely decorated and has a calm, refreshing ambience. Great place to escape for lunch and take a nice break.

It was alright, nothing special. We had a really dumb waitress that wasn’t any help on selections. She poured a beer for me that was half or more foam. We started with the Pork Potstickers which had no flavor. I had the Grilled Fish Tacos that didn’t have much fish. My wife had Olive oil Poached tuna«BLAT» which she said was descent. The others at the table had a One 20 Bistro burger that was pretty good but a little dry and the other had the Gulf Coast Salad which she said was pretty good. It was ok but we won’t go back.

Great little place! We had dinner here on a Saturday night. Had a reservation and were seated right away. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed the Parmesan Fries that come with a spicy dipping sauce and shared the Pork Pot Stickers appetizer. Hubby had the Flat Iron Steak and I ordered the Seared Tuna Steak. Both entrees were awesome. To top off the meal we ordered the chocolate peanut butter pie, and it was really good. We both agreed that we will definitely come back again. If you haven’t tried One20 you should make plans to go.

Good food great service. One out of four meals was not very good(fatty steak), which is the reason for the four stars. However, the other meals and appetizers were amazing. The place is small, so make a reservation – call ahead. Overall, this is an excellent place to eat.

I really don’t know why this restaurant has received so many high reviews. Went there this weekend, because I’d bought a Groupon deal online. We did not have a reservation, however was seated. The décor was a good attempt at covering up old warped paneling. The bathroom was dirty, and the dining room was freezing cold. We were served complimentary fries, which were the best part of the meal. Next was a visually interesting Cesar Salad, that desperately needed some fresh cracked black pepper. I would have also included some black olives. We then ordered the Tuna Poke appetizer, which tasted more like mango salsa. Way too much mango juice to taste any of the tuna. Our main entrees were pork, and the shrimp and grits. The pork was dry and the grits were the blandest that I’ve had on the coast. And… no spoon was served to eat them with. We could only come to the conclusion that we were purposely served bad food because we weren’t paying full price(although I tipped the server based on it), or that it is a one time only place to visit — to simply say you’ve been there(but why)? Won’t go back, and won’t recommend it.

I’ve only eaten here twice since they opened several years ago. Cant say anything bad about the food except that it doesnt blow me away for the price thats asked. The service has been excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. What turns me off about this restaurant is the building. They’ve dressed it up nicely but theres only so much you could do. The first time we ate there the vent dripped on me continuously and I worried it was going to get in my food so we moved to another table. The second time we ate there i kept getting bumped by the person behind me, just felt so cramped. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1 Price: 2 Food: 31⁄2

One of my friends who lives in Niceville recommended this restaurant. We went there for Sunday Brunch. When we arrived, all the tables were full and they seemed a little busy. I was a little hesitant of this place at first since it seemed like we were being juggled between the owner and waitress but the food and service made up for this little hiccup. They serve fries instead of bread which we didn’t realize this until after we asked the waitress; we just thought the owner had mixed up the tables. We were totally guilty of just eating the fries even though we thought they had messed up; they were delicious especially with the sauce served with it. We felt less guilty when we realized it was not a mistake. I had the Southern Style Eggs Benedict and it was phenomenal. I love Eggs Benedict and in all my years of eating them, this was the best one I’ve ever had. The chef really knows how to poach an egg and damn does he take pride in his food. The side salad that came with it was delicious and I was glad the side was greens instead of the usual side of fried potatoes. Everyone else had one of the specials and were very pleased as well. They also partook in the mimosa special and thoroughly enjoyed them. My anniversary is next week soooo it looks like we’ll be here for dinner in Niceville celebrating even though we live in Gulf Breeze!

Food is simply amazing, Dan really does a bang up job. Reservations are recommended for Friday-Saturday. Walking in, youre greeted and instantly feel at home. Keep an eye out for fantastic groupons for one to two couples. You make your money back off one entrée and a glass of wine. Watch seat positioning under vents during a/c weather as you may get dripprd on by condensation. If you are interested, Dan does monthly cooking classes as well.

I had to travel to Niceville for work and checked on Unilocal and found this Bistro. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by smiling, friendly staff. The complimentary fries and sauce were awesome. I had a Caesar Salad and Shrimp Scampi pasta for lunch. It was nothing short of amazing. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits.

Loved fries instead of warm bread! From start to finish dinner was great, glad a groupon bought me there. Too bad we aren’t in town too long or I’d come back to try the other items on the menu, especially the dessert that so many others posted about!

Starters: Bistro Shrimp and Tuna Poke and wine. Main: Skrimp n Grits, Mahi(fish of the day special), Flat Iron Steak and the boy had the Bistro Burger, the latter two both cooked medium. The best? I tried all 4 and I’m still debating.

Visiting from the west coast and wanted some good food. This place is great from the survive to the food. Nice place for a glass of wine and or a nice dinner setting. If I make it back I would eat here again.

Awesome place! Super good food, friendly staff and the owner even came out and gave us our fried green tomatoes. We came here on a groupon special and will return for sure. This is a special spot, you gotta come check it out!

We went here for lunch and the service was friendly and the food was amazing. They start you out with some perfectly cooked french fries and a spicy dipping sauce kind of like getting bread at restaurants or getting chips and salsa at a Mexican food place. We ordered the chef’s special appetizer and it was delicious! It had fresh chips with tuna, mango, cucumber, beans, onion, watermelon salsa mix. Next I ordered the fish of the day Mahi Mahi with kale, onions, olives, and tomatoes. This had an amazing burst of flavor in every bite! We will definitely be going back to this bistro very soon!

First time was a great experience. Call ahead and make reservations if you plan on dining here, the venue is small and they stay fairly busy. Had the Beets & Goat Cheese starter, the Mahi for dinner & the Raspberry Cheesecake for dessert — all excellently prepared & well presented. The wife had Shrimp & Grits while the kids had the Mac & Cheese — all great. The staff was polite, charming & on the ball. Will definitely be back. Cons — there is a rather noticeable rumble from some machinery(a/c?) & the condition of the trim is a bit rough & could really use some attention to elevate the aesthetics.

This bistro aspires to be great with it’s sophisticated menu, but fails in the execution. Overall, it’s a pretty decent value for this area, in that it’s menu is not over priced relative to Destin. However, better breaks can be had in Niceville for the same price. I’ve only tried two entrées, but both fell flat(curry chicken and teriyaki tuna steak), and I have little reason to return with so many better options around.

My husband were staying in Destin for the weekend so we searched some places to try. I also happened to see a groupon here so I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to go. We arrived as soon as they opened and were greeted right away. The servers were extremely helpful and friendly, knew a lot of the menu items and made great recommendations. Our groupon allowed us to get an appetizer, two entrees and two house wines. For the appetizer we tried the tuna poke with fresh made tortilla chips, it was sensational! We have had tuna tar tar before but the addition of pineapple and spices just made it even better. For our entrées I got the curried chicken with potato mash, asparagus and a coconut curry sauce, it was incredibly delicious however my biggest critic is that it had too much coconut sauce for my liking. My husband got the bistro burger, it was well seasoned and not your standard burger by any means. For the house wine I would highly recommend their German Riesling! Overall it was great! Wish we could back!

Great restaurant — the service was amazing, food was delicious, atmosphere was great. I enjoyed getting there and the server sitting us so we don’t stand but letting us know that there are a couple tables ahead of us that he has to get to. The chef/owner, Dan, came and greeted us and took care of drinks. The appetizers were delicious — including Fried Green Tomatoes(got them because of the reviews and they did measure up). I had the Shrimp and Grits which I was at first skeptical but they were great. I would definitely go back if I was in Destin or Niceville or Fort Walton Beach area…

My husband and I just got back from a tasty dinner at this place. :) we got lucky and found a groupon where we spend 32 $ for two glasses of house wine, one appetizer, and two entrees. So my review might be a tad biased due to the amazing deal. First off, we were greeted warmly. We arrived 15 minutes after opening so we were the first patrons there. We were immediately seated. The first thing I noticed were their menus which were printed on just thicker printer paper. My menu was missing the backside, but I used my husbands to see what I was missing so not a big deal but still something I hope they fix. We got the bistro shrimp as our appetizer, and they brought us an order of fries which they call their«bread» course. GENIUS. Fries instead of bread sounds waaay better. Especially since the fries and the dipping sauce were delicious. The bistro shrimp were very tasty and slightly spicey. Both full of flavor. My husband ordered the mustard rubbed pork chop… which sounded good but ended up tasting TOO mustardy. My husband loves mustard and he found it overpowering, and since I’m not a huge mustard fan I was not a fan of the pork chops either. My entrée was the coffee ground pressed flat iron steak. It sounded awesome because I’m a girl who not only loves her meat, but also loves her coffee. This was TODIEFOR. The coffee was just a slight taste but added an amazing flavor to the steak which was perfectly cooked. It was also served on a creamed corn and creamed spinach which I requested instead of sweet potato fries. I don’t know how they make their cream but it makes veggies taste sinfully good. Seriously. OOMPH. So good. We’re both not huge on wine so we selected the house Merlots which were waaay better quality than a lot of house wines I’ve tried at other restaurants. And finally the desert… we chose the whipped peanut butter chocolate pie. Oh. My. God. Quite possibly the most delicious, decadent pie I ever had. My husband is still talking about it. So final thoughts, great service, delicious food. And while we got a deal, we will continue to return even after the groupon no longer exists.
