We have a great experience at Savor, our waiter Stephanie recommended most of our choices. She was friendly and provided us with much insight on the menu. We had the a salad, soup, a pizza and dessert. Everything was delicious

Absolutely delicious food, great cocktails, and attentive, friendly service. I had seared duck breast and my companion had seafood pasta in a delicious vodka pepper sauce. Salted caramel tart for dessert is a signature dish. Highly recommended

Great food. Decent service. Love that the culinary students cook and wait the tables. Impressive.

My wife and I had a very good experience at Savor. We were staying at the nearby Giacomo Hotel and it was a very short walk. The restaurant is associated with the culinary institute and presumably staffed by students. They did a very nice job. The service was prompt and friendly, but not 100% confident and professional. All of the food was presented beautifully. We were served bland bread with oils at the table. This was a disappointing component that added nothing to the meal. We shared the sweet potato bisque and calamari for appetizers. Both were tasty and looked very pretty. I had the seared scallops and my wife had the filet. Both entrees looked amazing and tasted great. The filet, in particular, was among the best I’ve tasted. My wife felt some dishes lacked salt a little bit, but overall we enjoyed our visit very much.

Before taking our trip to Niagara Falls my wife read reviews on Unilocal.Savor sounded pretty good so we gave it a shot on night one. Well it was so good we went back on night two! This is part of a learning institute keep that in mind and you’ll enjoy yourself more! The bar wasn’t fully stocked so we couldn’t enjoy after dinner drinks.

A great experience. The staff is friendly and very professional, the ambient is nice, the chairs are comfortable and the food is incredible! Me and my wife were visiting the falls and after an exciting morning we decided that we needed some good food. Our expectations were not very high for an area so touristic… but Savor surprised us! First, they receive you very nicely, which is great when you are very tired. The menu is sort but full with serendipity. We ordered the leek cream for share, the shrimp Po-Boy and the eggplant lasagna. Everything was perfectly cooked and very well presented. The portions were big enough to get you stuffed. But is not only about the food. I’m not an expert about wines… and when I asked for a white wine, our waitress Brittany informed me that it was a Chardonay and whether that was OK. I confessed that I didn’t know a thing about the type of grapes and then she offered me a sample to taste, just to be sure that I would enjoy it. That’s a gesture that I appreciate a lot. Finally, if you go for lunch, you definitely must try the cheesecake for dessert. It’s the best I have ever eaten. And if you are like me and you need a strong coffe after lunch, this is also your place… espresso is great.

Had an amazing soup to start, made of sweet potatoes, leeks, prosciutto lardons,& crème fraîche. I had a local blueberry wheat beer from saw Ellicotsville(spelling?). It was very mild and refreshing. I also had the eggplant lasagna. It was good but lacked flavor a bit. Service was a little slow even though it wasn’t very busy, but I would come back. I saw some amazing salads go by. It was a great break from walking around Niagara Falls.

Our food was just spectacular yesterday. We ordered drinks and appetizers and that more than filled us(since we weren’t supper hungry) The wait staff was friendly and helpful and was equally matched to our delicious food. As a special treat, we ordered dessert since the Lemon Meringue Tart sounded too good to pass up– so glad we did. Two of us shared this light and airy treat! For those who want a nice atmosphere, good food, and not your traditional chain restaurant give this one a try. Even though it is a teaching restaurant, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the food or atmosphere. If you get a chance and enjoy people watching– sit outside, it enhances the experience– the fire pit is great!

Had the Mozzarella Roulade, excellent! Seared Scallops also very good! Definitely worth a visit! Ambience is very nice, with sidewalk dining available also. Waiters gave just the right amount of attention. Very nice place.

Wait, there is a NON-chain restaurant on the American side of the falls, that actually has good food? There is, and this is it. Its a little weird that its in a school, but the restaurant itself does not give that feel at all. We arrived Saturday around 8 and told it would be about 15 min wait. So we had a drink at the full bar while we waited for out table. It was happy hour so drinks were cheap, abound 5 bucks, per mixed drink. I had my go to, captain an coke, and my friend had the melon martini. The bartender was extremely nice and hilarious! When she made the martini, she made way too much so she gave us the left overs, and he got 2 more full martinis out of it. It was like 3 drinks for the price of one. Our table was ready in about 10 minutes. Our server welcomed us with warm bread and 3 dipping sauces. She asked if we need more drinks, then allowed us to look over the menu. I was supersized by how low the prices were for everything. We decided on the calamari for and app. The breading they use is really, really, good. They give you 2 dipping sauces and we enjoyed both of them. We both decided on the scallops for dinner. They were cooked perfectly. The only issue I had, they were a tad bit over seasoned. The pea risotto was very, very good, I could have eaten a bowl of that. You can tell they are students but they all did an amazing job. The manager kept duplicating our sever(including each of the bringing us a second bill) which got annoying because I thought our server was doing an amazing job! I don’t frequent the US falls too often, but I may make a special trip to dine a Savor again! Great Job!

By far, one of the best if not the best restaurant on the American side of the fall. In short, 5 star quality with 3 star pricing. The reason for four star was their service, not terrible, but has room for improvement. Dishes that I had and highly recommend: 1. Seafood risotto: This was a special and it was amazing. The aborio rice was cooked to perfection with a cream sauce, topped with fresh seafood like lobster, scallop, shrimp and squid. 2. Steak pizza: I forgot the name on the menu, but this is a must try if you are a pizza person. I have to be honest, it’s not as good as the ones that I had in Rome, Italy, but it’s not fair to compare them since the basic ingredients were grown from different soil. The pizza is a happy medium between thin crest and deep dish, which is rare now days. 3. Sea bass: pan seared and served on top of sweet potato mesh. fresh, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauce felt light and didn’t overpower the fish in anyway. The best part, the price was very reasonable for this kind of quality food. If it was in NYC, you are definitely looking at 50% more on the bill. On top of that, it’s located right outside the park, which is 2 blocks away. This is the only restaurant that I would recommend in the immediate vicinity of the american fall. Most of the other places are tourist traps. Have fun.

We wanted to find a non-chain restaurant for dinner while at Niagara Falls and Unilocal steered us to the right place. A fantastic dining experience… We both ordered a beer and they had some local varieties so we went with those, and happy we did. We were served warn crusty bread with three sides… butter, berry infused butter, and a oil/vinegar dip. We were hungry so it was great to eat that while waiting for our entrees. I got the seared scallops. Came with four big scallops cooked perfectly. Served with a green pea risotto. Oh my gosh… sssssoooooo goood! My friend got the burger and they happily added bacon even though it wasn’t listed as an option. He loved his burger! I did take a bite and it was very good. We split the fries which were cooked perfectly, too. They were well seasoned also. Our server Shane was great! Very accommodating, but didn’t hover. He refilled our bread basket and drinks as needed. He also brought us salt and pepper when requested. Very nice guy, and he did a GREAT.

A rare in gem in Niagara Falls. The staff were friendly and everyone at our table was satisfied with our meals from appetizer to dessert. If you find yourself in Niagara and want to avoid the regular chain fare, it’s worth a visit. We had the pork and salmon, which were beautifully plated and you should definitely try the fried calamari! Waitstaff was really friendly and the atmosphere was a lot more sophisticated than the other restaurants in the area. It’s a great place if you want a special night out!

This restaurant is inside the Culinary Institute. Went to dinner here with my husband, 2 year old, and mother in law. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful. My hamburger was perfect. My husband’s filet was super tender. My mother in law said the pasta free eggplant lasagna was also great. I loved that the kids menu had real food — not just chicken nuggets. The wine selection was tasty and there were good by the glass options. We sat outside on the patio — the weather was delightful and it was a very enjoyable way to spend our meal. The décor is stylish and comfortable but not too stuffy for a family. If it were just my husband, we could have spent a few hours drinking by the outdoor fire table! Loved it.

I’ve eaten 3 meals from here-everything from chicken meals — to Italian to Filet of Beef. These folks never fail to please and their desserts are to die for. There’s a deli and a pastry shop. Prices are little higher than surrounding places, but then again, so is the quality. Worth every penny. COme and see the students at work and have a great meal!

I thought this place was great! It is in the Culinary school in Niagara Falls… a little hard to find. The students cook and serve so I was very lenient in regards to giving this place a 5 star. Service was slow and she forgot the drink order. but they are not professional servers. If you keep that in mind and allow extra time you won’t be disappointed. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge and the price very reasonable. I suggest sharing an Appetizer or you will be full when your entrée comes. I will definitely return.

Wonderful, quiet(and had to find) place. Probably deserves $$$ for price but totally worth it. Had the salmon, wife the shrimp, both outstanding. Chocolate mousse in an edible dark chocolate cup was amazing!

A great meal in a nice setting. I chose the pork tenderloin dish and it was delicious. The presentation was just as excellent as the food. The beets were very tasty, the carrots were still a bit firm, and the parsnip purée was a great foundation. The candied walnuts paired with the pork made this meal a truly enjoyable one. Kudos to the students from the culinary school; keep up the fantastic work. Bravo, bravo! We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time because of a winter storm. The service was great! The food did take a little while to get to us but I assume that it was because nobody was in there to begin with. That did not subtract from the experience. The food was well worth the wait. Thanks again to everyone involved.

Since I was staying at a hotel nearby, I decided to stop by here for dinner before a conference event. I decided to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I was surprised to see that the bar area is sort of like a prep area. Many of the waiters had no idea how to make the drink orders. I also overheard one say«just google it». Hearing all the banters as if I wasn’t there was not very professional. Shouldn’t there be an instructor or supervisor to ensure the students know what they are doing and to provide back up when needed? Minutes after I was seated, a group of people poured into the bar. The bartender was a sweet girl but clearly couldn’t handle the surge of people demanding drinks to their specific taste. I almost felt bad for the bartender. I swear she must had poured 5 glasses of different wine for two ladies next to me and they weren’t happy. Another lady also wasn’t happy with the drink she got and when they were going to make her another one, the lady then says«hold on, let me try something». She then picks up the orange peel in her drink, twists a bit more, dumps it back on her drink, takes a sip, and declares«perfect»! I tried not to roll my eyes. So back to the food. Many of the menu items caught my attention. With the recommendation from the staff, I ordered the Pancetta Chicken with mashed purple potato and broccoli rabe. The broccoli rabe was a bit overcooked and oily. The chicken is rolled with asiago cheese and spinach and then wrapped with pancetta. It was pretty good. The best, for some odd reason, is mashed purple potato. It was just plain ol’ mashed potato with probably nothing more than some salt, but somehow that was the best part of the dish. Overall, the dish was good but didn’t wow me. If I am in the area again, I would try it again, but I would opt for a table rather than be at the bar. I would also try the pasta dishes instead since I was told that they make the pasta in-house. But for the first try, I think they need to tightened the service a little bit.
