The service was fast, friendly, and the waitress attentive. The food was very good quality and huge portion for price paid. Got the chicken souvlaki plate with Greek roasted potatoes and I highly recommend. Only downside is a very disgusting bathroom that should have probably been renovated a long time ago. Nasty looking with possible mildew on floor.

If they renamed this«Krista’s Restaurant» then it would be awesome, because then my friend Krista from Kenmore would run it, and I am sure it would be way awesomererer than it is now. It would probably look something like Tetons on Dick since she is so in love with that place, and so am I, and so is our CM, and so is everyone for that matter. Unfortunately it’s not named Krista’s, it’s named Christos. So if this were a review of the waitress, it would get a 6⁄5. She thought I was visiting the Falls from England. She and a customer were being giggly about my accent. She is not only gorgeous, she is one of the nicest waitresses ever. She complimented my accent(yes, I know I already mentioned that, shush), she was super duper lovely to me, she helped me with the menu, and she even agreed to go on 6 dates with me. OK, the dates part never happened, but it may have happened in my mind. I’m saying nothing more. If this were a review of the food alone, it would get a 3, but the food combined with the waitress, and it would def get a 4. The Chicken Souvlaki wasn’t awful, but it was deceptive. The price was decent(12 I think for the dinner) but while it looked like there was a ton of chicken, there really wasn’t… it was chopped into little pieces and scattered over the box, which created an optical illusion. It also wasn’t seasoned enough for my tastes. The pita was just standard Greek Chicago Gyro-style pita. Half of one. The salad was not good. I like salad and I didn’t even eat it. It didn’t taste fresh enough for me, it was feta-heavy and a little boring. The yogurt sauce was not great. The Greek dressing was good. That the potatoes were my fave part of the meal is a testament to how much I didn’t like it, because I’m not into Greek potatoes. I gave 80% of my food away. However if you’re a huge souvlaki fan you may as well try it because my opinion isn’t the be-all and end-all of Souvlaki appraisals. Food 3 + Waitress 6 = Total 4. So why does this place score a 2? I’ll tell you why. First of all I think the Yogurt Sauce is supposed to come with the meal. Others have said it does, and the guy behind me had some with his meal. Others have also complained that it didn’t come in the box, so they asked for it, and then they were given it. Now the waitress and the owner thought I was from out of town(I am, but I live here now), and I didn’t correct them. And I am quite sure that as adorable as she was she would have just given it to me(so to speak). But the owner was not busy when I went back in to ask for my absent Yogurt Sauce. So he was listening. And he interrupted her as she said she was going to grab one for me and said, in a very aggressive way, «That’s 50 Cents.» I didn’t appreciate that, because 50 cents is absolutely nothing to either me or the owner, but the food was dry and I’m pretty sure this sauce comes with it, and it was my first time there. I felt like a tourist in a tourist trap at that moment. I shouldn’t have to feel like that. The sauce he gave me tasted like Mayo anyway, it wasn’t worth my time. I just paid over $ 13 after tax for a dinner that had tons of salad I didn’t like, tons of potatoes I did like, and not enough chicken(which I would have wanted more of, had I liked it). And only half a pita, too. So that’s when I decided that I think the owner doesn’t have the best attitude and that you might get nickel and dimed here. Maybe you won’t. But I felt like I did. Now I also feel like I do at places like Rachel’s(Williamsville), but they get a through-the-roof 5⁄5 from me because I love the food so much. But here the food is average at best to me, so I’m not going to do them any favours and will call it like it is. But if the waitress is reading… I actually do live here now. And you should check out this pic of me in my new sweater.

+ Good food, huge portions — Dated, plain décor We decided to skip the chain restaurants this past Saturday and try out this Greek place that we must of passed a million times over the years while shopping on Military. Got there at 8:30pm and no other customers were in the place. They close at 9:00pm on a Saturday. It’s relatively small inside with approximately 10 tables. It’s also very old school with plastic covered tables and bare plain walls. We were greeted by the owner who sat us down at a table near the window. The waitress took our drink order. There is no beer on tap, and bottles are $ 3.95 which seems too high for this place. The menu was mainly focused on Greek dishes priced $ 10 and up. We ordered the Chicken Souvlaki($ 13) and the Fish Fry($ 10). The fish came with a good sized garden salad that was very fresh. The Souvlaki dinner came with soup. I picked chicken noodle. It lacked flavor but was nice and hot. The waitress was friendly and chatted with us. Apparently the owner has been running the place for over 20 years. Our entrees came within 15 minutes. The fish fry was a nice sized portion. Fries were cooked perfectly and the fish tasted really good with crunchy breading. Not greasy at all. The Souvlaki dish was insanely huge! It consisted of Greek salad, potatoes, and grilled chicken. It all tasted really good but it was missing tzatziki sauce. They quickly brought it out for me, although it lacked garlic flavor. We only ate half of our dinners and boxed the rest. I would certainly come back here for the great food, it’s just that its not that nice of a place inside. Perhaps better suited for lunch. They also serve breakfast which I may try one day.

Didn’t know just how authentic the Greek food served up by Christos was until a trip to Greece revealed the truth of this hidden gem. A family favorite for many years now. Try the chicken & rice soup, souvlaki, moussaka, & spanikopita(sp?) all wonderful. Fantastic rice pudding. Recently redecorated, relaxing, very casual environment.
