Simply Beautiful

I’m reluctant to share the good news about Elle Konsevick. I get my hair colored and cut by Elle at Simply Beautiful (and Ben when Elle isn’t available). She is a Master colorist and stylist. I have dark brown hair with lots of grey. She covers the roots and gives me a soft brown base color that compliments my skin color and then pours on the blond highlights (either thin or chunky, depending on what I ask for). She can make you look soft and feminine or more urban and edgy. She looks at your style, skin color, face shape and the look you want; and customizes the color and cut to you! She is not cheap price-​wise and rightly so having worked at the top Best of Boston Salon’s such as Fia and Davis. Don’t be late for your appointments – she runs a tight but gentle business and she is warm and funny. I alternate between Elle in Newton and Arrojo Salon in West Village, NYC. She is right up there! I drive to Newton from Back Bay (avoiding Newbury St) because Elle is hands down in the top 10 stylists/​colorists in Massachusetts. Enjoy.

I saw the «Walk In Service» sign prominently displayed on the front door and attempted to stop by for a trim. Both stylists saw me come in (it’s a tiny place). I patiently waited 30+ minutes as they were in the middle of working with their clients and neither of them asked me if I had an appointment or if I was there for a walk in haircut etc. Just as one of them was about to take their next client (again, without asking me whether I needed any help etc) I was able to ask if they had any availabilities that morning. They unfortunately did not and recommended I call for an appointment. I understand that they were busy and didn’t have time to fit me in (as it was already mid morning) but I was very turned off by being completely ignored while I wasted 30+ minutes out of my day. I found another salon soon thereafter which happily accepted me as a last minute walk in and I walked out with a gorgeous cut!

Elle is amazing hair stylist. I have been getting my hair done now for about 9 months and my hair was permed and started to get very dry and very unmanageable. But she knew exactly what she would be helpful to help my hair look shiny and healthy. She also help me understand more about my own hair and why it would just hang flat to my head. I have very fine hair so she explained how she would cut it and it would take about year to get it where I would be totally happy. She is a great communicator and is very kind she is a true professional if you have hair that needs help she is the hairstylist for you!

Got a FANTASTIC haircut today from Ben Moeun at Simply Beautiful. I have thick, curly hair, and a great cut is usually hard to come by, but Ben is terrific! He also gives a scrumptious scalp massage during the shampoo… mmmm.

This is a great salon. I was in town to visit my folks and decided to get my hair cut before I went back home. Angela, the owner, is a very nice and is a great stylist. She does my mothers hair also. I was going in for a pretty dramatic haircut. I have had very long hair for a VERY long time. Angela made me feel very comfortable and helped me in my decision on what would be best for me.
I LOVE her work. Everyone who has seen me since my new haircut raves about how they love it and asks who did it. My friends can’t stop talking about how great my new hairstyle is. I definitely recommend you go check out this salon. You will not be disappointed.

The salon is adorable. Angela, the owner, not only is an expert hair stylist but the warmth and her art sense is reflected in the ambiance of the whole salon. If you are looking for a great cut that isn’t going to break the bank, this is a great place to go. Everyone I have sent there is very happy with the service.
Raisa, who does the nails, is great as well. While she doesn’t do press on nails, her manicures are wonderful, especially the massage part. It was so relaxing I started to drift off, something she encourages. Everything is extremely clean and she knows about remedies to help problematic nail issues.
While the salon itself is small, it feels cozy rather than cramped. There is a coffee/​snack area that is lovely way to wait. Highly recommend.
(It’s right off Langley road, across the Atrium Mall, convenient free parking lot adjacent to the building.)
