Jessica cut my hair in Cambridge at A. Quinn and she is amazing. I’ve been loyal to her for about 4 years. When she moved I followed her and I absolutely am so glad I did! She is so talented with hair (she had like 80 five star reviews at her last place) — my hair looks great and I can recreate it. I also love the vibe at the salon. It’s much more fun than other salons. Book a haircut, you will be forever thankful!

Jamie does an awesome job. Best cut ever. He takes time to explain what he is seeing an why he is doing things. Friendly relaxed environment and he even offers refreshments!

You can see he is an artist by the décor, and you will not be disappointed when he works his magic on your hair. He listens to your wishes and creates individual style and color at very reasonable prices, especially considering the time he spends with his clients. I followed Jamie when he opened Chrome several years ago because from our very first appointment he took the time to understand me and my hair. He takes the time to consult with me from start to finish and is scrupulous each appointment. I had been to master colorists all over the city before finding Jamie, he is hands down the best. I get compliments all the time on my color and people ask me who my stylist is so I decided to sing my praise and gratitude for Jamie Byrne and Chrome here.

I feel like I hit the lottery with Jaime and Chrome! Jamie really takes time to evaluate your hair, your style and find the right cut and color that is totally right for you. So many people have complimented me on my color and how much better the style is. My husband took interest in my hair look after so many years! Jaime just cut my teenage daughter’s hair and he took such meticulous care asking her what she wanted and discussing hair health. Their goal is to make you look and feel good, and wow, you will!

The best! Jaime is meticulous and never acts rushed. I always get compliments on my hair. What I have been most impressed with is that he took time to show me how to do my own hair in the way the «salon» way. No one in my (too many) years has ever taken the time to do that. I was so impressed and it has helped me immensely. I thought I knew what I was doing but he showed me the right technique and it made all the difference. The other thing is he will be honest and tell you what will look good and what will not. I am so happy to have found Chrome.

I found Jaime Byrne after looking for years for the right stylist. Now people regularly ask me where I get my hair cut. Jayme took the time to inquire about my lifestyle and personal style, and to figure out the best cut and style for me. Every appointment starts with a real consultation. I completely trust his judgement and skill. The cuts grow out beautifully. The salon itself is relaxing and pleasant, and Jayme is a master conversationalist. Highly recommend!

Not only is he an expert hair stylist, Jamie is a down to earth genuine guy and a pleasure to pass an hour or two with. I recently went through treatment for breast cancer where I lost all of my hair to chemotherapy. Today I visited Jamie with about two inches of curls growing in every direction. He spent two hours styling my hair, showing me how I could achieve a different look with different products and how to use a comb that was designed just for my type of hair. He wasn’t showing me the products in a sales pitch type of way. He genuinely wanted to teach me how to make my super short hair look good. He also took the time to show me how to style the curls myself, one ringlet at a time.
Jamie goes above and beyond for his clients and he seems to be truly enjoying himself while he’s doing it. Today, I feel better about my hair than I have in almost a year. I am so grateful to Jamie for that.

This salon is such a masterpiece…
Jamie the owner, stylized most of the unique pieces of décor and furniture in the space. If you ask him, he will explain to you how he fashioned his work stations… they are very refined! Many of his design elements are not only personal to him, but they are true to the overall mid-​century modern era he is replicating.
Anytime you need a superior cut or color he will give you that and more. I have visited him several times when my hair has reached the «outgrown» phase and he will reshape the cut giving it more shape & body while refreshing the overall health of the strands.
I am not a fan of harsh color chemicals, Jamie listens to all my health concerns and bases his service on the consult, especially when I am doubting my own needs.
