I agree with previous Unilocalers in that this location has both great tasting food and incredible customer service!
Thai & ZBQ Pizza = excellent!

5:25pm — ordered one pizza online, for delivery
6:45pm — no pizza. called, they said «oh it’s in the oven, it will be there in 30 minutes»
7:15pm — the 30 minutes had passed. Called. «It will be there in 20 minutes».
7:46pm — pizza delivered. The WRONG pizza.
People make mistakes, companies get busy. But lying to the customer is unacceptable. Should’ve gone with dominos!

I seriously go to a lot of Zpizzas and this one had both, the best quality and customer experience. The gentleman who assisted me was super cordial and went up and beyond to heat up my pizzas without me having to request for it. I am so surprised that other Zpizza don’t do that because it literally enhanced the taste by 110%.
I got the two slices with a soft drink that was less than $ 7.00 after tax. What a deal! The place was also super clean, neat and organized.
They also have sandwiches, salad and cookies. In addition, if you are like me, who hates tomatoe sauce in your pizza, you can get it with garlic spread. Yummy!!!
If you join their club, you get all kinds of promotional items emailed to you. Some of the specials I’ve got includes Birthday specials, buy a large pizza and get a free small one, etc etc.

Really good pizza, especially love the crust/​bread. However I’ve been seeing that each slice is about $ 2 and I was charged $ 3.50 ish for a pepperoni. A lot of reviews say that they overprice everything so I guess that’s their thing.

Pizza is good compared to Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Little Cesar type of pizza joints. I used to come here frequently because of their Tuesday Special which they no longer have.
The taste is decent. The pizza is not too salty; doesn’t taste doughy; and the toppings are fresh.
Their prices are high; and like J K. mentioned in the one of the reviews, for the price their are better options.
The quality of service is hit and miss. They have some friendly staff like Henry, Graham, and Luis; and they also some very rude staff member like Justin.
I give zpizza one star because they overcharged me. The overcharged amount is not so much that makes you noticed, around 2 dollars. Most people just don’t pay attention. I was the same way, until one day I called and was put on hold for so long, that I decided to give their online ordering system a try.
I ordered the same pizza as always: large all pepperoni, half shiitake mushroom, half sausage. The online system itemize my order:
$ 14.50 for the pizza,
$ 2.00 for the pepperoni,
$ 1.00 the half order of shiitake mushroom,
$ 1.00 for the half order of Italian sausage
Total after tax is $ 18.50 and about $ 20.00 with tax.
Before using the online system, the same order over the phone or in person would cost me about $ 23 and change.
I told them (the people at the store) and they told me that price varies from location to location. I looked at their menu and the price was listed like the online menu. It only change when they ringed me up, and they explained it as the right price because the POS system calculates it, and they POS system is not wrong.
I contacted their corporate and zpizza corporate replied back weeks later with a generic «Thanks for letting us know, we will look into it».
Today, I visit zpizza West Cliff again, and encountered the same illegal practice. I called this time and was given the total $ 23.50. When I arrived, I told them that the price doesn’t add up. I showed them the price quoted on the online system. Justine argued against accusing me of trying to cheat them. In front of him I ordered the same pizza online and got a lower price. Justine was upset and almost didn’t give me my pizza. I told that I have already paid for it and finally he relent and gave me my pizza.
I don’t know how long this has been going on, but I can’t imagine this sort of practice is legal.

I have to say this about a outstanding person at Z pizza — his name is Noah a person with excellent customer service, positive and professional and most outstanding if ever experienced! Z pizza did something right by hiring him. He’s the best and the staff over all is excellent my pizza was cooked to perfection!

Meh. Ok pizza used to come here all the time for the special but full price not even close to being worth it. For their prices there are waaaay better options.

Solid pizza with a great group of people behind the counter. Always courteous. A great go-​to if you need a quick slice.

If you choose to eat pizza, this is the way to go. If you ever have a problem, which is very rare, they will take care of it in a second. The drivers are great, the pizza is fantastic, and the company superb.

Took ten minutes to order. Simple cheese and pepperoni pizzas. Asked for delivery at 5:30pm (placed order at 4:30) showed up at 4:50. Apparently the manager didn’t want to listen to the customer. Never ordering from them again.

5 stars because of the excellent service I received and observed from the cashier on Nov 11 at 11:30! I ordered a slice of pizza and ate in. While trying to stuff my face before work, I observed how he handled the next customer who was giving him a hard time. He handled professionally though she was «accidentally» spilling ice all over the place. Kudos for not loosing your cool buddy.

Ordered an extra large pizza with lots of veggies only and a beer while I waited.
36 dollars… what…you ordered lots of veggies so we charge double… first time In 15 years they have said that… Real Pity… they lost a good
owner on site to complain too…

ah i grew up on z pizza and so want to still love these guys! the last time i ordered pick up, we asked for a thai chicken pizza. we got that but someone confused the cilantro for jalepenos. so awful! tonight we ordered a pepperoni with light sauce. pretty simple, right? what we got was a 45 minute wait, a phone call questioning the legitimacy of our address (second time z pizza has asked me if i am sure where i am!) and a half pep half plain boring lameness! come on guys! the driver actually called and asked if I could see the street from my house?! creep sauce! why make it so hard to love you, z? just give me what i ask for and stop getting so wonky!

I find the quality of the food to be quite good, especially the salads. I recommend you serve the chicken on the side of the to go orders as it melts the cheese and creates a bit of a mess. But I like that it’s all so fresh!
The guy who helped me (wish I knew his name) at the counter was fantastic. I used to serve, this guy is over worked and likely under paid. Yet he rocked it and all with a smile on his face and a friendly tone in his voice. I felt for the cook too, also likely over worked and under paid.
OWNER/​MANAGER: Get more help for your staff, two people at lunch time is ridiculous and too much to ask. And for the love of God, get them some air conditioning!!!

This z pizza is smaller than most z pizza locations but the service is so much better. For example, the eat in bar is literally right in front of the ordering area, but the very nice guy who took my order brought me my food and even got me a knife and fork and napkins. Also, two little girls came in after school and they wanted 2 slices of pizza but we’re short by $.20 cents and they went ahead and gave them the pizzas. I haven’t seen that kind of small town generosity in a long time.
But to the food. Z pizza is an excellent choice for those craving junk food but want to eat healthfully. The pizza is gluten free and the food is made fresh in store. No frozen ingredients here. My pear and Gorgonzola salad was delicious and much larger than I would expect.
I would definitely recommend coming into this z pizza, for excellent food and above and beyond great customer service.

Slices are small & taste old. Staff is not helpful. Used to be decent but they got way cheaper with their quality. Not a fan.

It has some pretty awesome pizza and for a good price too. I especially love their Mediterranean Greek salad :) it’s a great place for families.

This is the place if you wanna have a great pizza deffinitely i recomended tomato basil is my favorite

Pizza is okay but the stoner guy at the register has messed my order the last 2 times Ive gone.

pretty good pizza… it’s about $ 3.21 per slice… fills the tummy on the cheap~
