I moved to Newport Beach four months ago and have desperately searched for a new stylist. My main concern was that I was in need of a color correction. My previous stylist added gold and warm tones to my natural ash. My hair rivaled Donna Martin’s. I selected Shear Attitude from the Color Proof website. I felt the salon and stylists wouldn’t be stuck up, as I have discovered with other OC salons. Also, there were some great reviews regarding color correction. My intuition was correct! Cait is amazing! She took the time to assess my damaged hair and made recommendations for color and cut that incorporated my overall goals. I’m happy to say that I no longer have gold/​orange hair! The color looks natural, the cut perfect! Plus, the prices are reasonable! Color + cut for $ 165!

I love this place! Nancy has a knack for color and her cuts are fantastic. She is doing all the services herself including a killer massage during washing of your hair. It’s so refreshing to not have to be shuffled thru assistants. You never have to wait and she is extremely accommodating. You get consistent great color every time and walk out without being pressured to buy hundreds of dollars in products. I suggest you give her try… you too will be hooked!!!

Have to drop a Unilocal on the great cut and color I got from Shear Attitude. The color correction was ‘PERFECT’. Nothing better than walking out of a salon feeling like a million bucks, but not paying it! Give Nancy a try and you will be impressed. Classy gal with hair and people savvy. Thanks Nancy!!!

The Best For Blondes!!!
I highly recommend Nancy & Shear Attitude! The atmosphere is fun, casual & relaxed, it’s dog friendly, Nancy is a doll, and best of all she is an exceptional colorist — especially for blondes! After moving to Newport Beach 5 years ago I dreaded having to find a new colorist — plus I found some of the local salons a bit ridiculous and pretentious and frankly not all that great at creating that gorgeous natural blonde coloring I love so much (ironic that so many OC stylist really suck at highlights!).
After a few disappointing (and expensive) visits to some local salons, I literally stopped a woman on the street in Newport Beach and asked her who did her hair and that’s how I found Nancy 4 ½ years ago! I’m thrilled with her work! Don’t tell Nancy I said this, but personally I think her prices are a steal!

I moved to Newport Beach in May 2011. I went to my local Starbucks at Goldenrod and PCH and introduced myself to some people sitting outside and asked where should I go for a haircut. All three said Shear Attitude. So I went to Shear Attitude and it was the best haircut and highlight in my life!!! Nancy is awesome, and her team is the best! Holly is a new addition to the Salon for waxing and facials. Once again the experience was incredible. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

I also have only been to Shear Attitude to see Monique Moralez for waxing. She’s fantastic! Monique is quick, thorough, and does a great job at relaxing you with fun/​interesting conversation as she does her job. She’s extremely professional, and very reasonably priced. I recommend her whole heartedly!

I always go to Shear Attitude because of Monique. She is great at what she does and always does the waxing quick and pain-​free as possible. Monique is extremely sweet and friendly, which is another reason why I love going to her. She also specializes in skincare and makeup!

Monique at Shear Attitude is the BEST when it comes to waxing. I’ve been a client of hers for several years and refuse to go elsewhere. Her prices are reasonable and she uses peel off wax which is less painful then strip wax.

Just got home from my first trip to Shear Attitude Hair Salon and I am so impressed. It has been a year since I have had anything done to my hair. I seem to be a magnet for bad stylists. I swore I would never try another one. However, recently I had dinner with an old friend and she looked amazing. She shared with me that Shear Attitude was completely responsible. They had transformed her from blah to beautiful. My appointment was with Nancy and not only did I leave there looking awesome, I felt so confident and motivated.
Also, the area is super cute and there is a little pizza place next to the grocery store, I believe called Zpizza. Yummy.

I come to the salon to get waxing services from Monique. She’s the best! I’ve been going to Monique for a few years now since I moved to SoCal. I’m super picky about my beauty services and was happy when I found her at a salon in CDM. I then followed her to Shear Attitude. She’s very precise and very clean (a must for waxing!). Monique is also very genuine, super sweet and looks out for her clients best interest. She doesn’t try to push products or services when you don’t need them. Oh and she’s super sassy and has a great laugh — I *HEART* MO!!! :-)

I’ve never used their salon services but I come here because Monique works here now.
Monique’s the best. I’ve been going to her for a couple years now and she always does a good job. She uses peel off wax, which makes it not hurt as much. I still can’t find a whole lot of waxers who use that. She’s always quick and thorough and very friendly. We’d chat and talk about our lives and catch up. She also does facials now.
