From the time that is Dr.Agnew retired I didn’t see any Doctor,I couldn’t go to anyone because I’m sure there is no Doctor like Doctor Richard Agnew. He’s amazing,smart,and simple person I will never forget him, always in my prayers I asked God to bless him.

I had the best experience with Dr Agnew and his staff and a comfortable delivery. He makes you feel really comfortable almost like family & he is very experienced. Fast, awesome delivery! And will definitely go to him to deliver my next baby love him!

I met Dr. Agnew this past Monday he is not only a great Doctor but he made me feel like if I was talking to my dad he is awesome and Rebekah his daughter was the one that walked me into the room where I was going to be seen. Rebekah was sooo sweet I really could not be happier to bring my little one to this world in the hands of such amazing person!!! Dr. Richard and his staff are great and make you feel very comfortable. Thank you guys :)

Love Dr. Agnew. 15 years ago I had gone to a few other doctors trying to find out why I was having lower side pain. Within 5 minutes of him examining me, he knew what the problem was. I had surgery the following week. I have trusted him ever since. He listens with patience. I cannot imagine being this happy with any other doctor.

Love Dr Agnew, his daughters and his wife! I’m sad to see that other helpers had bad experiences at/​with his office. Dr Agnew delivered both my children via c-​section, both are beautiful healthy kids! My healing on the other hand from 1 to the other was night and day! 1^st csection was much easier than the 2^nd and after a little research, that’s just the name of the game. Scar tissue and so forth make healing after a 2^nd major abdominal surgery more difficult. None the less, that had nothing to do with Dr Agnew.
They always got me in and out in no time and since Dr Agnew is my PCP I call with requests for referrals and they take care of it right away! The staff (family) are always pleasant and helpful! I just can’t say enough good stuff! Plus the big bin of licorice on your way out… What pregnant woman doesn’t want 15 pieces of licorice before lunch? :)

Had a crazy insurance change when I was 7 months pregnant. I was so bummed to be losing my wonderful OB but when I came into DR. Agnew’s office he and his staff were amazing! I had to bring my son a few times for my check ups and he was always interacting with him. Love his bed side manner and my after care once he delivered my daughter. He is so attentive and such a family man. His office is always busy but I totally understand why and its so worth it!

I normally don’t write reviews on Unilocal by felt I needed to. I went to Dr. Agnew because of all the great reviews but was very disappointed. He seems friendly at first but that quickly changed. He never remembered anything and it felt like he didn’t care about his patients. I ended up having a miscarriage at 5 weeks and he acted like it wasn’t a big deal. He didn’t return my calls and after leaving 4 messages, he finally called back. This was my first miscarriage and I didn’t know what to expect. I wanted to know if I had to stay home during the miscarriage and how much the pain would be. When I finally spoke to him, his answers were very short and he didn’t really care. I was so confused and couldn’t believe how unprofessional he was. I am not a picky person but his behavior was unacceptable. Please don’t go here.

I absolutely loved Dr. Agnew and his staff! They’re so great, so attentive and there for anything I ever needed. I love doctors that are straightforward and not beating around the bush like a lot of doctors I know do. When I had my baby at Hoag unfortunately, he couldn’t make it because he was on duty the whole day and night before. But to have everybody at Hoag hospital, commend him and say how amazing he is and they call him the number one OBGYN their eyes. I truly felt great to have him as my doctor. The day I had Kaylee Jo, he was there bright and early to make sure everything was ok. I can go on and on about how amazing him and his staff are. Thanks again for everything!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Richard Agnew and his staff. He truly cares about the women who step foot in his practice, listens, values your concerns or birth plan you may have. The staff is phenomenal! You’re not just a number here. I have truly been blessed by this practice. Such a wonderful place to connect with the BEST OB in Orange County! Thank you so much Dr. Agnew & staff for making me feel like home.

My previous ob that I had used did not take my new insurance, so I had to find a new ob. After seeing so many great review for dr. Agnew from Unilocal,I used dr. Agnew as my new ob. When I first saw him, I thought wow I would get retired if I were at his age. But considering he might have a lot of experience, plus the workers at his office are nice, I did not change to other obs. I was thinking to change to another ob when he draw the blood for me and he asked his nurse to watch if he was doing right and his nurse told him to draw more blood. The whole process was like I was his tester. Considering my due was coming in 15 days and I had registered in the hospital, I did not change to other ob.
I did C section with Dr Agnew. I felt some hurt and a big push on my tummy after my baby was taken out. I was worried since I should not feel any big push after I was given anesthetic. After the c section, I felt so hurt inside and outside my bully. Much hurt than my first C section with other ob. The hurt was totally last 2 months!
I wish I changed to other ob during pregnancy! But too late. Pregnant moms, please make sure to choose the ob dr who cares about you and whom you are confident with. Best luck.

I had to change doctors mid pregnancy because every time I called no one answered the phone. They always seemed unorganized and would not go over blood work with me or ultrasound results unless I asked about it. The wait was always 30min to over an hour. The nurses spoke to me like I was a child and acted as if I did not know information about myself. For example I got blood work done and they did not have the results so they just did not believe that I got it done, untill they went looking and found the results, but really what dr. Office looses results from blood work. Now they are not sending my paperwork to my new dr. Office. All of it just seems so unprofessional.
I would not reccomend this office to anyone and the sad thing is that none of it is dr. Agnes fault except that he has surrounded himself with incompetent helpers.

If I could give DR. Agnew & his staff 10 stars I would! I love his wife, daughters & staff! They have SUCH compassion and are willing to help in anyway possible. I began going to him during the pregnancy of our son and had a great experience with 2 years he has helped me more than other doctors and the specialist that I was going to for my fibromyalgia! He is actually helping treat my disease unlike the others that made me feel like my pain wasn’t real! (which in turned help Saved my marriage as well, I know that may sound dramatic but chronic illnesses are very hard to cope with)
I love the office itself, feels like a home and making an appointment is easy and no stress.

Great Ob, VBAC friendly! I had a VBAC with him recently. He took me on late in my pregnancy (36 weeks or so!) when my other OB decided they didn’t want to do the VBAC. He didn’t have to take me on, but was so kind to help me have the birth I wanted. Other doctors I’ve talked to Create a lot of stress and anxiety around VBAC and he was so relaxed about it.
The office staff is SO sweet and I love that they always have little treats when you leave… What pregnant girl doesn’t want a cookie after their appointment? Even better if I had to bring my toddler who was so well behaved because she knew there was a «special treat» coming when she left.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because of their phone system! It’s hard to know where to leave a general voicemail.

Seriously the best doctor around. Dr. Agnew delivered both my kids and has been my go to doctor for over 5 years. He is so kind and knows everything, he is very kind and always takes the time to help me understand. Whenever I call, he is always available to speak with me. When I was in labor with both kids, his wife (who works with him) gave me her cell phone number to call when I go into labor. I felt like I was part of their family and always took such great care of me and my babies. His office staff are beyond incredible. They are so kind and helpful and I cannot say enough great things about this office. Thank you for your care Dr. Agnew and staff! We are moving soon and it breaks my heart to know we will need to find a new doctor. There are not many doctors out there like Dr. Agnew. I will miss him and his awesome staff!

i have written many a bad review on Mds, but i must say, this time i can happily report that I found a most excellent, caring, skilled Md. Im getting things addressed that I haven’t able to in a long while. Now, if only the phone lines weren’t so busy ! –but still a 5 star, well deserved.

I wished I had found Dr. Agnew sooner! He performed my one and only surgery in 2013 and he made it as painless as humanly possible. His staff is extremely professional and helpful.

Love Dr. Agnew and his staff. His wife and daughters work in the office and they are always so friendly and willing to answer any questions. Dr. Agnew delivered my son in ’13 and it was a great experience. I recently moved and am pregnant again. After trying out a Dr. in this area and being extremely disappointed I knew that I wouldn’t get the type of care I am use to anywhere else, so I am going back to Dr. Agnew even though his office is an hr drive, because he’s that great!

If I could give negative 10 stars I would give it to this Dr.
I first went to this Dr. for an annual wellness checkup. It was fine, neither the office nor the doctor blown me away, but it served the purpose. The doctor nor anyone from his office did not call me with the Pap test results. I had to call them 31 times (during office hours) and finally got to someone from his office who told me the results.
I never heard anything from him for the imaging he ordered for my condition which I mentioned to him during the check up. Never called me to discuss the results or assured me everything was fine. I tried calling them numerous times and failed to reach someone. I had to go back to the imaging center so I could take a copy of the results and take it to another doctor.
The last but the most horrible experience was a couple weeks ago when I had a gynecological emergency. I called his office before hours when he was a physician on call. Left 2 – 3 messages thru an agent. Didn’t hear anything back. Was in pain but patiently waited until the office opened. When the office opened I called again maybe 10 times, finally got someone who told me they were about the call me. They said Dr. Recommends a course of antibiotics. I said it was a reoccurring issue antibiotics don’t help I needed to see him, but was told they were double booked and he couldn’t see me for another 4 days! I was in a lot of pain and emotionally reached the bottom. I tried to get another gyno to take me that day but no one took new patients until after months later even for an emergency. Finally I was able to find some doctor 20 miles away from me but I was grateful someone actually cared about patients. Dr. Agnew’s office person called me late afternoon that day to tell me someone canceled and now the dr could see me. It was like a joke. First they could not see me and there is nothing they could do and late afternoon when someone canceled he wanted to make some more $$ so they called me.
This dr. has no integrity, no passion for his profession and has no human feelings. I regretted so much for choosing him as my doctor and depended on him during my emergency. All these glorious Unilocal reviews fooled me and I wanted to put my experience down so someone who is looking for a gyno don’t do the same mistake as I did. Maybe he is better for pregnant people but here is my horrible experience. The emotional pain he caused me is too deep although the physical pain I went thru because I could not get timely care from him is beyond excuse. Be very aware!

Pregnancy is NOT easy, but having the right OBGYN makes a huge difference! Dr. Agnew was recommended to me by my sister in law when I got pregnant and I am so happy that he’s my Dr! I’m currently almost 34 weeks pregnant so I’ve had my fair share of appointments with him at this point. His staff is his family, and they are all so nice! He and his whole family go out of their way to make you feel comfortable at every visit, and he has excellent bedside manners and a very nurturing air about him. One time I mentioned that my back was aching, he said he was going to get me some information on stretches that I could do, but they didn’t have the pamphlet on hand. A couple days later, I found that he had sent it to me by mail! The fact that he even remembered and went through the effort was really sweet :) Also, he was very good about getting me samples of diclegis for my terrible morning sickness, and recently some antacids that are safe for pregnancy.
His offices are located right across from HOAG hospital, and he himself is local. The wait time is not too bad, around 20 minutes, but he, his PA (his wife, Mrs, Agnew) and the nurse (his daughter) are as sweet as pie and really take the time to answer all your questions when they are seeing you.
So far he has made my pregnancy easier just by being available to answer questions, ease my concerns and generally make me feel better since he has so many years of experience under his belt. I highly recommend him if you are looking for an OBGYN! I am a first time mom and having a good Dr. makes a world of difference! I would definitely recommend all my friends and family to him :)

Best Gyno Experience ever !!!
It was my FIRST gyno visit EVER, after putting it off for quite sometime i decided it was time to put my big girl panties on and go annual test and checkups !
The staff is simply amazing, Dr. Agnew’s daughter was the sweetest person and made me feel as comfortable as she could.
Dr. Agnew was simply the best as well completely professional and very warm and welcoming &open to questions, he even took a few seconds to show me some pictures of his henna tatto’s he got last week while at the OC fair (Because he noticed my hand decorated with henna) How sweet ! it’s rare nowadays to find doctors to actually treat their patients like humans rather than something you gota fix LOL.
I would def recomend !!! thank you Dr. Agnew and Staff
