Good service ok food was ok the only two thing that I would say that needs addressing is 1.that would in was my eggs in my eggs Benedict were overcooked 2. I would have to agree with Richard O the quality of the food has gone down hill

Great bakery. Much better than Panera bread, good breakfast plates and good veggie quesadillas. Nice café feel, with kind and helpful workers. I would eat here again

I’ve only been here a few times but working a lot in this area lately so have stopped in here a few times. I love the quaint feel of this place as it feel like an Americanized version if a European café. The food is good, a little pricey for what it is, but for the area I think it’s reasonable. The shopping center this is in, to me, is odd and could stand a remodel but love this area of Newport Beach and PWC is cute for a quick bite or just to grab a coffee.

I was excited to drive out of my way and get pastries today as I have from them before. When I looked in the case there were flies all over the pastries unfortunately the door was open and I was told by the shift manager they leave the door open often letting flies in unfortunately… There’s a small window on the kitchen door with no glass keeping flies out where they prepare food… God only knows how many flies or in the back of the house and potentially in food! Trying to get a hold of the management is like trying to pull teeth! I was given an email address after the shift manager called the General manager manager Sandra and was told to give it to me to voice my concern. Very unprofessional in my opinion having been in the service business for over 30 years! The girls at the counter were nice which is why am giving them two stars instead of one.

The quality of the food has gone downhill steady for years and the prices are frankly much too high. This morning I had the breakfast sandwich, which was two pieces of dried toast and an egg with a lump of cheese. McDonalds serves better food. Perhaps other items are a bit better. The service was mediocre. The cashier had an attitude and the guy who brought out the food was clueless. What a disappointing experience.

Friendly and efficient service. Good quality food. Bread and baked good seems to be like their strong suits. Salads are good, but lettuce and greens can be crispier/fresher.

The food here is healthy and tasty and the service is relatively quick. I enjoy meeting friends here after church at Mariner’s Church. There is a wide selection of choices on their menu, and so there is something for everyone’s palette. The prices are reasonable, and I feel that what you get is a great value. I’m frequented this establishment many times and will continue to do so.

I could come here every day. Sitting on the patio, watching people, enjoying one of their caffeinated masterpieces and sugary treats… why ever leave this place?

Another satisfied trip to Pacific Whey. I had the School Boy Breakfast entrée: toast, sausage, eggs and silver dollar pancakes and fruit — a meal fit for a king. ‘Nuff said. Everything about this place is warrant of five stars.

We’ve had some pretty decent lunches here over the years but today it wasn’t good. It was also a very simple order. Today we were out running errands and hungry and so it seemed the perfect, simple choice. I ordered half a chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. The lettuce on the salad was not in great shape and it was hard to find the dressing. Yum, dry wilted lettuce. The sandwich — well it was not seasoned at all and had little cartilage bones in it. Usually lunch here is a solid 3 star kind of experience but this wasn’t good. Add the unhappy faces of the employees behind the counter to the mix and it was an all in all not good experience. I left 2 stars just because it’s never been this bad before.

Breakfast this morning was so delicious. The California Omelette was the oder today. Another great tip is the Yogurt Parfait. Plenty of strawberries and it comes with extra granola. There is plenty of inside seating as well as outside seating. Service was quick and friendly.

Really great gem hidden in the casual Pavilions parking lot. They have coffee, pastries to die for, and also breakfast favorites like omelettes, and really most other breakfast staples your heart will desire. There is indoor or outdoor seating, and it is a nice relaxing night place to get coffee solo or with a friend.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots the service and the food are wonderful. The employees that work there are very nice and patient. And in the evening the pastries are on discount. If you decide to go on a Saturday morning make sure you get there early so you can avoid the crowd. Things that I would recommend to eat are the BLT the schoolboy breakfast and a chicken Caesar salad. If you like over easy eggs the chef there does a wonderful job.

I used to frequent this café often while attending UCI4 years ago. I just went back again today and I am so happy to say their food is still amazing & the service is great. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with fruit and it was so yummy and came out quickly. I also ordered a hazelnut latte and almond twist to go for later & both were also delicious. I love that pastries get discounted after 5! Get em while you can. Thank you for the courteous and timely service! I will be back again soon:)

Just OK, not great value. Nice staff, very attentive. Convenient location. Mediocre food, mediocre prices. Omelettes cost $ 10 – 11, but taste like powdered eggs. Potatoes often not cooked through, or oil tastes rancid. I ordered coffee, and they charged me for a large without asking what size I wanted. I’d rather go somewhere where I don’t have to be on guard against this sort of thing. Very nice outdoor seating. That’s a compliment for the shopping center, not the restaurant. If you read my other reviews, you can see I’m not that picky. So, this place is not terrible, but so many places around here are better.

Delicious and healthy. I had the spinach and feta scramble but i switched it for egg whites. Comes with fruit, potatoes and choice of bread. Great customer service and fast on the food. But their pastries are to die for. Bread puddding. Muffins. Large soft cookies

Been eating at Pac Whey for over a dozen years. Not sure if the owner sold Pacific Whey completely or if she still helps run it from time to time. When the owner or previous owner runs it… 6 stars. When she doesnt… 1 star. They become cheap as hell. Smaller portions for less money on ALL the pastries. Let me also point out that they use less sugar, etc and change her recipes. Customer service suffers as well. Half off pastries after 6 or 7 though… Dank food, but this place seriously fell off the mark.

My friend lives up in the hills next to this small neighborhood strip mall off the Bonita Canyon Drive. I would never have found this place if not for being in a desperate hurry to find a place for my take away lunch as I was already late for a house sitting appointment. And, I just happened to peek in to this road and noticed the place was full of cars, so thought I’d drive in to investigate. I immediately came upon this Pacific Whey Baking café that looked pretty busy with people enjoying a leisurely meal on the outdoor patio. I immediately parked my car out front and ran in… and OMG, the pastries stared me right in the face that I couldn’t even look up at the menu above to select my sandwich for take away! This would definitely be a great place to come for breakfast or afternoon tea! Anyway, I finally managed to tear my eyes away from all the wonderfully mouthwatering looking pastries to finally decide on the Grilled Chicken Panini(with sourdough bread) and a side of Homemade Chips. There was a bit of a line, but the friendly staff at the order/cashier counter worked quite efficiently. All in all, I waited about 10 minutes for my take away. Once I got to my friend’s home, I quickly took out my panini and took my first bite. It tasted absolutely yum ee delicious! …no skimping on any of the fresh ingredients… and still hot and freshly grilled. Only thing was that next time it’d definitely be better to eat it hot and freshly grilled at the café rather than as a take away as the steam in the take away box kind of made parts of the sandwich a bit soggy. The chips were not fresh out of the fryer, but still perfectly cut and crisp! I love this place! :)
