The cashier lady behind the front counter is unfriendly. There is no reason for me to return. I would rather drive out of my way to a different store than give them my business.

At first the sandwiches at this deli were good, but after a while the cheese in the sandwiches literally had mold on NUMEROUS occasions. Also they let the cream cheese in their bagels stay out and get old… numerous times I had to return the bagel to exchange it for a bagel with cream cheese that isn’t old and moldy. I would stay away from this place unless you don’t mind taking the risk of getting food poisioning. Also the owner Vic, is generally speaking, a bad businessman. Common courtesy would be that he would refund me my sandwhich, but he wouldn’t even do that. I would go next door to Chevron to get good snacks and great customer service.

Minute King Deli where have you been all my life??? Hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Hidden gem one other reviewer put and it’s so true. I’ve been on the west coast for about 5 years and have yet to find a great deli /bodega like they have on the east coast. This place is great. The people are great and the sandwiches are banging. I had to play it cool in front of my co-workers as I wolfed down my amazing sandwich. Two unexpected high points — the bread. I love a good round roll but in a pinch I’ll go with a hoagie. Expecting all bread and for it to be stiff since half the day was already over, I was pleasantly surprised that not only was it fresh, it was soft and perfect. And the second high point was real deli mayo. If you’ve had if then you know. It’s a game changer and these people have got it right on the money. Fresh deli meat and cheeses, just the perfect combo. Super excited I found it and will now be my new spot. My tummy is actually grumbling as I write this!

I’ve had some meatballs from the fresh food area which weren’t bad but the winner was a pastrami sandwich, hot. I added coleslaw which made the sandwich incredibly messy. Its very liquidy cole slaw. Giant sandwich that will probably spill all over you when you eat it.

This Minute King is a hidden gem! Straight out of Jank — Town, this is your typical liquor store with all sorts of booze, chips, ice, beer and porn magazines that looks intimidating, like you might get shanked, but once inside there are a bunch of delicious food choices that you would never think of. A common selection for my lunch hunger is the half sandwich(of your choice) special that comes with fresh made lemonade served in a red solo cup and side of potato salad. The also have premade sandwiches and salads for grab and go. In particular, their chef salad is downtown! Lot’s of meats and cheeses, hard boiled egg, pickles, etc… They also have cooked specials of the day like mac and cheese, baked chicken, soup, veggies, etc… The other day, I saw one of the gals making up a huge bowl of fresh guacamole. Who would have known all this food is here. Try this place. P. S. People watching moment– the guy in front of me was holding a 32 oz cup of ice, an orange Gatorade and then ordered a 375 ml Smirnoff vodka. Now, that’s a party. I made sure he had driven off the lot and was well away before a drove off.

I am a fan !!! WHYTHEHELLTHETWOSTARS !!! It’s close to where I work, same nice lady work over the sandwich counter for the last 9 years(I think her name is Karin). Remembers my name eventhough I come once every 3 – 4 months. Perfect order of Bacon Egg and Cheese toasted on sourdough bread and separate tomatoes. WHYTHE2 stars !!! The young lady behind the counter need an attitude adjustment. She was rude and mouthy. Just like C.L. wrote on his review. I have been coming to this place on and off for almost 10 years now. This girl just made my lunch tasted like crap.

Looooooove the sandwiches here! Decent price. They are always nice and helpful. I just tried the chicken over rice(not sure if they have it everyday) and it was AWESOME!!! –1 star for the young blonde girl behind the sandwich station. She usually makes the sandwiches with half of the amount of meat.(i’m sorry but I don’t like getting 3 slices of turkey for a $ 6 sandwich!) Go for the old lady behind the sandwich station.

Used to quite like this place. Always open late and friendly cashiers. But lately I’ve noticed items consistently ringing up for more than the marked price, so watch out.

Have been coming here for 10 years or so. When I walked in this afternoon the owner was yelling at an employee(ironically it was Labor Day). He told me to leave and come back later. I responded that I would never come back, then his rage and anger was directed at me. As I was walking out the door, he grabbed my shoulder and asked me why I would not ever return. My response was that his convenience store was not very convenient. I can not believe how the owner treats customers and employees. Thank god there are convenience stores everywhere so I never have to go back, and hope you will do the same.

Awesome Italian sandwiches made by an Asian lady :) Great prices on the half-sandwiches and small cup of macaroni & cheese… this place has fresh fixin’s and you can grab any drink you’d like to go along with it. What’s more is they have some decent crap-cigars at the register, so you can puff something when you’re all done, sitting out front on their cute tables and chairs, contemplating returning to work after lunch… just watching the enormous jets go by over the golf course across the street. Great stuff, and nice staff! I used to go here at least 3x a week when I worked around the corner with the gay-hating Mormons. Note: play the lottery here. Good stuff has happened. Oh, and the squaw bread is reeeaaaaally good.

Big, tasty sandwiches for a fraction of the price of a café. I guess most people would pass by thinking that this place is an ordinary liquor store, but they’ve actually got a wide selection of deli sandwiches. This is a place I go to when I need to grab a quick, hearty and inexpensive lunch. And yes, they have plenty of booze and greasy snack foods too. What’s not to like?
