Inkyard Tattoo

Came here on a whim with my friend to get a couple cliché matching tattoos. We had a very broad idea of what we wanted (basically we had no idea other than the general concept).
Went in and were greeted immediately by three friendly dudes, after telling them we wanted an ampersand and showing them a couple pictures of what we were thinking. Like I said earlier we had a VERY broad idea, but they helped guide and used their artistic talents to draw up something that was absolute perfection.
We talked price a bit (which was amazingly fair and reasonable) and then got to work.
Needless to say we were happy with the process as well or else I wouldn’t be writing this. Both Rudy and Emo were as awesome during the session as they were in helping us figure out what we really wanted.
All in all totally rad experience.

I haven’t been to this shop but got a few tats from Emo a while back when he had a shop in San Bernardino County area. Emo first helped me clean up a tat by another artist that didn’t quite come out how it looked on the pattern I chose. I like what he did so much I went back a few more time afterwards to get more work. His prices for the work he put into my tats was more than fair and he always did a good job of giving me breaks right when I needed one. Will make the hike out to this shop soon since the itch is calling me.

Emo got me in right away. Super clean. I had a small tattoo and did a great job making it look perfect. If u choose anywhere in Newport choose ink yard tattoos.

Walked in and the place was trash. Artist was high and placed just reeked. Asked about their groupon discount and he told me that it’s confusing and he’ll have to call the owner. No answer. He said don’t worry about the groupon we’ll work it out. Toward the end of the tattoo, his buddy/​boss came in and told me that the groupon was actually not worth it because if I were to read the fine print, the groupon adds a bunch of random charges that actually make the tattoo about the same price thus null. THIS WAS BULLSHIT. I read the fine print and it said nothing about all these gratuitous charges. This boss guy was totally blitzed telling me the tattoo looked like a $ 300 piece of work obviously trying to scam me out of money. I even gave the place the benefit of a doubt came back and ended up getting into an argument over how much he wanted to charge me for my next tattoo which was an anchor. He quoted me $ 120. I said no way because it was a 15 minute job. He says, «we’ll we’re close to the beach.» I walked out and walked into a tattoo shop down the street and they did the anchor, shaded two different tattoos that needed shading and did lines (nautical rope) around another tattoo for $ 150 flat. DO NOT GO HERE. Save your money go somewhere professional.

Guy quoted me $ 500 for a tattoo that I went elsewhere and got for $ 100.and the artist that’s did it wasn’t stoned out of his mind like the one at Inkyard. Don’t waste your time.

I didn’t get a chance to go in as Emo wouldn’t return my calls. (I tried calling twice 4 days before my appt) for a call back but he is obviously too busy to return any calls to answer any questions once an appt is booked so I called 26 hours before my appt was scheduled and as usual had to leave another voice message but immediately received a text message thanking me for cancelling my appt. Later to my surprise I found out through my sister who was getting a tat from Emo, he didn’t return my call because he said I called to cancel. He is not telling the truth, he lied and for that I would never go to him as I did NOT CALL TO CANCEL 4 days prior but to discus the size options. I won’t be called a liar. I’m happy I got my tattoo and they do answer their phones and made it the size I wanted. Sorry Inkyard that Emo ruined your rating. PS. I did get my refund.

Chris was amazing! Super professional and nice. Easy to talk to and really into what he’s doing! Lot of experience! I felt great and comfortable. Takes his stuff seriously too! Did an amazing job on my unicorn! Really clean lines and hooked me up!!! Overall it was a rad experience. Totally coming back!

I came here Saturday morning, I had discussed what I wanted a bee and crown the day before and made an appointment. Chris was so awesome, he said he’s making it realistic and unique. I came in expecting some small bee and tiny plain crown… he showed me the sketch and oh my gosh, I was so happy! It’s the perfect size and the sketch alone looked realistic. Chris was so easy to talk to and made tiny needles going into my skin a pleasant experience. I’m in love with my tattoo and I will definitely come back for more of Chris’s work. Hope you had a great Birthday, Chris! Thank you so much!

I found this shop on living social. Wanted to take my husband to get a tattoo for his bday. I felt they were very unprofessional being more than an hour late to our appointment. And we couldn’t leave because they already had our money. It seemed as if they used living social as bait to get you in there then they chark up the prices. Their a business so I understand trying to make money but then he charged us an extra $ 100 for tax and gratuity with out saying what percentage grantuity and tax is. Which I think is a price he pulled out his ass. My husband loves his tattoo and he did do good detail but I was bothered that he wasn’t straight forward about extra pricing from the jump.

I had to get a Tattoo finished because of a bad situation and The original artist left. I went into to Inkyard and explained my situation. Mitch a tattoo artist worked with me to get exactly what i wanted and needed to complete the work. Allot of shops have issues working on cover ups or partially done pieces. Mitch was amazing and said let me fix that for you. Best way to get to it is go around the building as if looking for beach parking. There has always been parking available and they work with walk ins. Super clean, easy going and great artist

Was in tonight for a cover up. Emo did a stellar job! I would definitely recommend him. I’ll be back for another. Thanks Emo:)

From walking in the door to the end result, I’m very happy with this place.
I’ve walked into many tattoo shops trying to get a consult or some info and a lot of these places make you feel uncomfortable, but that was not the case here.
Everyone at Inkyard was friendly and they were able to do my tattoo the same day!
They offered a deal with Amazon local deals and Emo worked out a good price for the piece I wanted.
Emo did great work, colors look vibrant. I get alot of compliments.

Great little shop, slightly hidden but I am glad I stumbled upon them. All the artists are very friendly and accommodating. Got a tattoo by Jessica and I’ve been back a few times her work is consistent and clean. Time to figure out my next tattoo!

My friend and mine. first tattoo. David made us feel so comfortable. Even though we are not your normal tattoo customer (55 +) he made us feel right at home. Place is so clean, sanitized and professional. He listened to exactly what we wanted and was very gentle. It was a great experience for my first time. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE… it was GREAT. Thanks again Dave! you were amazing.
