After seeing numerous physical therapists, I finally went to Darci at the Health Zone for physical therapy. She did a thorough assessment with me and found many things that the other three physical therapist had not. She did not try to push me off on an aid but was extremely hands-​on. The other physical therapists I had seen didn’t do any manual manipulation and told me to push through the painful exercises. Which in the end caused more pain. They did not watch me do the exercises to see if I was doing them right. Darci is thorough and extremely experienced. She was the first therapist to actually listen to what I was saying. She understands the importance of manual manipulation (massage) and watch me do the exercises to make sure I wasn’t making my situation worse. She is one on one. Even though my insurance did not cover her office I still went to her. After thousands of dollars through co-​pays with the other three therapists and no good results I went out of my network and found her. She did work with me as a cash patient. She is amazing.

I have been seeing Darci Tharp for several years for my varying Physical Therapy needs. She is by far the most experienced, knowledgeable, caring PT I’ve ever had. She has magical hands and I make an appointment to see her as soon as I find myself needing therapy. She is not a massage therapist, but if she was, she would give the best deep tissue treatment. I see her mostly for my shoulders, neck and back and she always knows exactly what to do to get me feeling better quickly. My husband is a runner, and was having some issues with his feet, I sent him to Darci and after a few months of treatment she was able to fix his problems and get him back out running. His only complaint was that he should have seen her sooner… stubbornly he suffered for several months before he conceded and got physical therapy.
HealthZone is in Newport Beach on a quiet street with easy parking. Darci is very accommodating and getting an appointment is easy. She accepts insurance and cash patients. I highly recommend Darci to anyone in need of a great Physical Therapist.

Darci at HealthZone Physical Therapy is by far the best physical therapist in Southern California! I have gone to many other therapy places after my knee surgeries but none ever seem to help get me gain back the full mobility to my knees after surgery. I have had numerous injuries and surgeries to my knees from soccer and every time I go in to Darci for help I come out feeling better than I ever expected. She works hands on and one on one with you and will keep working with you until you are a 110% better. She has helped me gain back the ability to run, squat, bend, move and even go back to playing soccer after my 3 left and right knee surgeries. I highly recommend anyone to go to Darci! She is the best Physical Therapist in the area!
