What can I say Marty is lovely. She has done my hair several times and alway exceeds my expectations. Her products are top notch. She does a great job of finding out what is important to me and creating my vision and leaving my hair healthier than before.

I found Marty through the Olaplex web site… I had been reading about using Olaplex as a stand alone conditioning treatment and wanted to give it a try. Marty gave me the Olaplex treatment and a haircut, very pleased with both! Marty is super nice and easy to talk to… very nice for a customer coming in after a major stress work day to feel relaxed and at ease! Just went back and had a second Olaplex conditioning treatment by Marty and took home the Olaplex #3 to use at home. Results are terrific!!! I’m a brunette who uses Demi-​perm hair color monthly to cover minor gray hair. My hair was healthy but had lost its natural wave over the years. (I’m over 55) I’m telling you, after the Olaplex treatment my natural wave is back and it’s downright curly if I let it air dry!!! Also very silky and shiny. I will continue to get Olaplex treatments from Marty, very happy with the condition of my hair.

I’m new to the area and was searching for a stylist who can not only maintain my blonde hair without using bleach or ammonia, but also improve the health of my hair. She lightened my base color, did partial highlights, applied toner, and added a «magic» product :).
My hair health has definitely improved!!! I’m impressed with her organic products. Also, she didn’t have to cut too much off to bring back the bounce to my natural curls. It’s been years since I said, I LOVE MY HAIR. My friends and family also love my hair.

I wanted to get a blow out for a friends wedding and waited until the day of to make an appointment. I called Marty and she was open, I came in an hour later and immediately felt comfortable! She asked how I wanted my hair styled and gave me a quick scalp massage. The shampoo and conditioner she used smelt amazing and made my hair feel great! My hair was long over due for a cut and we both had some time to spare so she gave me a quick cut as well and I am so happy with how it turned out! She used a flat iron to curl my hair and my curls stayed the whole night! If I lived in Orange County I would go to Marty for all my hair needs, definitely 5 stars!

Marty is wonderful! I was a client several years back when she was a stylist at Hue by Aveda in Huntington Beach. She starts your session off with a nice scalp and shoulder massage. What’s nice is she does a wet cut and then when your hair is dry, another cut to adjust and perfect your look. She is extremely skilled and what she does and has always been able to achieve the look of any pictures I’ve brought in. Additionally, she always takes her time with you and you never feel like you’re rushed.
I was sad when she left Hue. However, I’ve been able to find her at her own salon now. All is well in the hair world again!

I recently relocated to Orange County and am SO thankful I found Marty (via Unilocal). I prefer organic hair products and notice that they cause significantly less damage to my hair. Having recently experienced a terrible outcome at another salon (Blanc Noir near the Camp), I was pretty nervous about handing my berated strands to a new set of hands.
But Marty. Absolutely. Nailed. It. !!! She is absolutely delightful and extremely talented. She created beautiful, natural-​looking and low matenience highlights (tough to say for a blonde, but she did it!) and took her time to meticulously shape and color each strand beautifully. Being new to the area, I cannot say how thankful I found Marty and will be in her chair for a long time to come! Marty is as good as it gets! I have trusted Marty with my hair for the past 5 years now and am always impressed with her work. Whenever I am out, it’s not unusual for people to compliment my hair because of the amazing job she does with the color and cut. She is very accommodating and professional, possessing both the skills and knowledge necessary to make me look my absolute best. Although I moved a bit further away recently, going to anyone else is unimaginable. No one else knows how to make me into the true blonde I was born to be!

I am new to the area and received Marty’s information by referral. I have been super picky in the past hair and have found difficulty with stylists putting up with my strange requests. But Marty is very professional and accommodating. She did a wonderful job on my color and cut and knows what to do with long, unruly, layered hair. I trust Marty 100% with my hair. I have been going to Marty now for a few years, since her days at the Loft salon. She listens and damn it, she knows hair because I always come out of Organic Color Studio with color that is even better than what I asked for and a great cut that actually continues to look good as it begins to grow out. That is the kind of precision cut you can expect when you go see Marty.
Also worth mentioning is when you book your appointment you get a text message confirming the time and date. Then, a few days out from your appointment you receive another text message reminder and a voicemail. Super convenient… the techie inside me loves it.

Marty is simply THE BEST!!! Almost (4) years ago, my life completely changed. That’s when I met Marty. I have really long, thick, unruly and super dark hair. Pre-​Marty, every stylist I went to attempted, but could never quite master the art of highlighting my hair. It always turned out too yellow, too orange or simply left too damaged. Fed up with it all, I stumbled into an Aveda salon (Marty has since moved on to a more sophisticated & chic salon). As I was talking to the receptionist, explaining what I was looking for, Marty came around the corner. Although I just walked in and I was only inquiring about highlights, Marty took the time to evaluate my hair, look at my skin color and offered a solution. I immediately booked an appointment and a few days later, I met with Marty. The day of my first appointment, I must say, I was a bit nervous as all my previous appointments at other places turned out just OK or sub par. Marty immediately made me feel at ease. She took the time to evaluate my skin tone, listen to what I wanted and then she went to work. She started off with an über relaxing head, neck and shoulder massage (my favorite). I’m not going to lie… the entire time, I was expecting to be yet again disappointed, but to my surprise, after she completed the process, I wanted to cry with JOY! She even fixed my previous haircut, which was an attempt at long layer, but it was really «shelves» at different lengths and not blended at all. Finally, someone listened and possessed the talent and knowledge to transform my hair into what I had always desired, but could never achieve. I left my 1^st appointment happy and my hair felt healthier than before I walked in. Marty is tremendously talented and knows hair!!! On a personal level, Marty is super kind and simply a positive spirit! When all else fails, go to Marty! You will not be disappointed. She has changed my life for the better and my husband’s too. Pre-​Marty, my husband would always dread my hair appointment days because he didn’t know if I’d come home crying, angry or indifferent. Now, he looks forward to my hair appt days because he knows his happy wife will be coming home! The Organic Color Studio is a great space too! I am always so comfortable and we laugh and converse the whole time. My 3−½ hr appt flies by. TOP NOTCH, TALENTED and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE about color, cut and overall health of hair! I LOVE MARTY!

I have known Marty for years and she recently ventured from the Loft and established her own studio within the Organic Color Studio on Old Newport Blvd. The location caters to Stylist who are established and operate independently as sole proprietors. She is one of the few Stylists in this world that respects her Clients time and does her best to be punctual. If you are her first Client, expect her to be their to greet you and not ‘just’ walking through the door with bags in hand. Most importantly, she listens to what you want! Her philosophy is to accentuate what you have, compliment what you have and work with your texture. Marty also spends a good 10 – 15 minutes relaxing you with a scalp, neck and shoulder massage. Heaven with a glass of wine! Whats best about her new location is that it is private. She her own studio space within a larger location that allows her to offer concierge level service to her clients. Love it! I am social, but not overly social where I want to be among a mass of blowing hairdryers and gabbing stylists and clients. I like to relax when I get my hair done and this place fits the bill.
