Gondola Romance

For my wedding anniversary on July 17, my husband and I wanted to try this. The reservations office suggested an 8pm cruise, because the marina is more beautiful and we’d reach sunset.
We reserved a 1-​hour cruise for $ 100 (something like that $ 100 — $ 110). Included is a bottle of martinelli apple cider, a basket of sliced cheese, crackers, and some yorkshire chocolate mints. They also provide a clean blanket and some romantic music in the background.
When we arrived, the marina was chaotic because of all the construction going on. For better directions, I suggest calling and asking.
We eventually found the office and waited for our gondolier at the marina. His name is Keri. Their staff is very welcoming and kind.
As our gondola took off, all around are boats of all sizes, and private yachts of all sizes. It’s overwhelming when you’ve never been around vessels that huge before!
The ride was great. The scenery was beautiful and the sunset we were promised, delivered and was stunning and gorgeous!
It truly was an experience we’ll never forget. If you go as a couple, your time on the gondola is private and personal. Our gondola had a tarp, so it’s like it was just us, enjoying our time together and really celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was so special to us.
As we headed back to our dock, the sun had just finished setting and many of the homes (huge homes) were lit and just beautiful. There were some places that had live music and some had gorgeous architectural features. My husband and I loved, loved the scenery alot!
Keri did a fantastic job taking us around. Thank you so much in being part of our special celebration.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. They can accommodate couples and groups of a certain amount.

Such a beautiful setting. The man who went around for us was so sweet. He made things very comfortable for me and my boyfriend. Worth the price! It’s so cute how we got some ciders, cheese, and crackers! But pack a blanket if you decide to plan one. It does come with the boat but you never know! Anyways thanks again for such a wonderful experience, you made it very memorable for us.

It was my birthday today and my girlfriend decided to surprise me on a cruise. Mathew was extremely nice to us and made us enjoy our cruise even more. It was a great surprise and very romantic for couples. We got to go when the sunset was happening and that and being in the water was breathtaking. 5 stars all the way!

Experience was awesome. Relaxed very romantic place for a couple to have a little getaway. The houses around the area was amazingly beautiful. The team at Gondola ride newport was very polite and was very professional at what they do. Besides the fact we almost got killed by another boat which was NOT own by gondola. There were these kids renting out the boat riding at god knows what miles, wasn’t paying attention to what was ahead of them, they ran straight into us. Thank god we were ok. I thought our boat was going to flip. Thankfully our captain action was fast and got their attention. They not once apoligize. How rude! I’m still wondering how they got to rent their boat. But overall our ride was amazing. That crash sure made our experience even more exciting lol. I hope our captain reports them.

Had a very enjoyable time. They were great to work with and Guido gave us a nice ride through the harbor while listening to Italian Music. Saw some amazing yachts and this date really sealed the deal to a wonderful day in the area. Would definitely do it again. Dinner was great and it was an easy pickup at the restaurant. We were running late and they were great to work around our schedule. Would definitely recommend it. Next time, I’ll be learning an italian song so I can do a sing along :)

Excellent service, very easy to set up a reservation, they were very helpful and made my surprise for my husband so beautiful. Josh our gondolier was very informative and told us a lot about the place.
U should give this place a try

Yesterday i was on board the Seafari with 12 wonderful ladies from my group the OC DIVAS. WOW what fun at an amazing bargain! The boat was comfortable and fully loaded with essentials needed to ring in the fun — plates, cups, utensils, napkins, even a cooler full of ice. This made the party planning easy on my end. All i needed to do is bring the food and drinks. We chatted away, laughed, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We even had our own boat captain! It was our job to have fun not steer the boat! Would do it again and again

Took my Wife here for our seventh anniversary. The people where very nice. couple of things. it was cold and the blanket that came with the trip was not large enough for the both of us and looked rather old and crusty. The chocolates where Hershey’s mini bars and the cheese and crackers where plain old cheese and crackers.(like ritz and american sliced off a block) it was exactly what it said it would be. but i expected something a lot more romantic for us on our special day. the boat driver was very nice. even with the ultra cheese «romantic» music in the back ground. «when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pieee…» change the name from Gondola romance. to Buget gondola cruises, that would change this rating to 4 stars. was fun just not very romantic at all.
