Stopped in for a quick lunch while in the area. Got a steak gyro, which was made of quality ingredients, but not quite filling. Gyros are about $ 7, plates are $ 14. I know rent is a premium in this area, so it is reflected in the food price. Parking lot is packed, even at 11:30 for lunch. The restaurant was getting full too when we were leaving at noon, so go early for parking and seating.

Ever since I spent a summer in Greece I have been craving authentic Greek food. After many years of searching I’ve finally found it! Blue Mediteraining has outstanding food for very reasonable prices! EVERYTHING here is delicious. They are also fast and friendly! I also have them cater all my work events and and family dinners! They do a great job and actually give nice sized portions. Not eating here is a disservice to your stomach! ;)

The tabouleh is amazing! As is the cucumber dip. I’ve always had a good experience eating here, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Chicken shawarma on the dry side, definitely had to flavor it with the hot sauce. Not a bad portion, but pricey @ $ 12.50. I didn’t fancy their rice; has something added to it… root or some vegetable?

This place is bomb! One of the beat Gyros ive had in OC. The meat was perfectly cooked and not dry. I got the combo which comes with the greek salad and a drink. The guy who runs the place is friendly and has good energy. Didnt know newport beach restaurants do not allow foam boxes… Learned something new today. Overall this place hit the spot

Food was delish, portions are large, staff is super friendly and they obviously have a fan base as the line was snaking out the door at lunch time. Only wish they had a soda fountain machine. Other than that, awesome.

I love this place. When I don’t have the energy to cook, Blue Mediteranian is a healthier and tastier option than typical fast food places. I always get the chicken kabob skewers which are delicious, epically when dipped in the garlic spread. I’m happy to announce that the garlic spread is not butter as referenced in other reviews. In fact, they informed me that they do not use any butter in their restaurant. That’s very good news for my diet. The lady at the register is super nice, which is uplifting after a long day at work.

I get dinner here when I’m working late. I usually bounce back and forth between the schawarma and the gyro plates. The café itself is no-frills, but adequate for a quick lunch — I usually take mine to go. Love the food, prices are reasonable. Can’t complain.

This place is so good! I usually get the chicken kabob salad. I love that they give you two kabobs as opposed to only one like most places. Prices are definitely reasonable for the food you get.

Come here for lunch all the time. The chicken is white meat and the beef is melt in your mouth great. inexpensive for kabobs. I always go for the kabobs. pita bread is ok, not homemade. There is very little sitting, so get your food to go and eat at the park.

Decent spot for lunch. Can’t say it’s worth raving about, though you could certainly do worse if you’re hungry and need a quick bite. The chicken kebab plate with rice is almost literally just that — chicken, rice and some sad veggies. The vegetation on my skewer was minimal, with just a couple pieces of onion and/or green pepper. They were so tiny that it wouldn’t qualify as a balanced meal, if you care about such things. Chicken was good, nicely seasoned, nothing earth shattering. Rice was cooked just as it should be. But the cost for all of this was something like $ 13 – 15, which is pretty damn high considering this is a fairly sparse offering. I’d rather spent that kind of money somewhere that provides a full, well-rounded meal.

Solid choice for lunch if you work close by. I usually get the Chicken Shawarma plate, which comes with rice, hummus, pita bread(1 or 2 pieces — you pick, same price) and salad. The chicken can be a little dry. But I love their garlic sauce and always ask for extra(no charge!). It’s flavorful, but SUPER strong, as in. I hope you keep a toothbrush at work. Price is a little on the higher side for lunch at $ 11.50, but portions are pretty big. Service is fast and staff is friendly. Parking can be chaotic during weekday lunch rush and if you come around noon, there’s always a line. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat here, but it’s one of my more frequent lunch stops since I work in the area.

I always get a beef and chicken kabob plate with extra garlic sauce. I often crave this 2 – 3 times per week. It takes a while for them to prepare your order, but it’s totally worth the wait. Plates are about 14.00 each which is pretty pricey for me and they don’t have much of a drink selection but you can’t find better garlic sauce anywhere else. So worth it! Highly recommended if you have been searching far and wide for good Mediterranean food.

Food is pretty good, but the service is horrible — enough to warrant this one star rating. Yesterday, 1÷14÷16, I went here to grab some food to go around lunch time. The place was packed — given it’s small size, think NY subway car at rush hour packed. So I get to the register and place my to-go order, and the hispanic girl with longish hair working the register informs me that I’ll take about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. No problem. I then very respectfully ask that given there’s no place to sit(and let alone stand), may I just wait right outside their door for my order — which is probably all but 10 steps from the register. The troll at the register literally snapped back«No you can’t do that» with a really inappropriate tone. Given I was carrying probably a 40 pound backpack, with no place to put it down — I would think they would care at least a little about their customer experience. But apparently not. What’s upsetting isn’t so much they wouldn’t let me wait outside, but the utter abrasiveness and disrespect this employee exhibited. I mean wow, if I want this kind of experience, I’ll pack a sandwich next time and go dine at the DMV, where I would expect such interactions from the generally angry and unpleasant people that work there. I won’t be back.

Very mediocre middle eastern food Store feels dirty Service is slow and not interested in serving customers We had the chicken shawarma plate The chicken was all white meat but it was not freshly shaven off the vertical rotisserie meat and it was tossed with a bad BBQ sauce that pretty much killed the chicken. Plus they did not give much chicken and at $ 13 for a paper plate sit down or to go place-that is expensive The salads looked ugly The hummus was a weird color and just so so The tatziki sauce was warm and watery and not good I would NOT go back here

Note: I called ahead to pick up my food and ordered the chicken kabob plate. Service was friendly for the brief time I was on the phone and picking up my food. The place smells super yummy, which is an obvious plus. As you can imagine it is your typical Mediterranean Grill. You get a good portion of food. Chicken was a little dryer than I had expected, so that was a bit of a let down. The thing that bumped it to 4 stars from 3 is their amazing Greek horseradish type sauce! This boosted the flavor of everything and when I added some humus and the Greek sauce to the chicken it made it a lot better. It was definitely the thing that set it apart. With this place being close to work as well, I will most likely be back to check out some other items.

Parking situation is bad here during the weekday lunch period. Prepare to circle a few times or come a little before or after the lunch time rush. I ordered the chicken kabob which came on top of rice with sides of humus, salad, pita and garlic sauce. I also ordered a side of french fries. The chicken was on the dry side. The small side salad had a good dressing. The humus was very creamy, too creamy for my taste. The pita bread wasn’t as soft and fresh as I was hoping for. The garlic sauce on the side was very potent and went good with the meal. Overall, i had an average experience here. Nothing to rave or vent about. Food was a bit on the pricier side compared to the portion sizes for the meal. Service was a bit slow as it took a bit longer than expected to get our orders. Only indoor seating and it is limited so I can see it being packed with no space to sit during peak times. total, approx $ 14.

I really didn’t expect much from the store front or small dinning area with beat up stools but I decided to finally try this place cause it was close by my optometrist and not Subway or another chain. I had the Kafta Kabob, #2 on the menu, which is ground beef and lamb on top of a bed of rice. The kabob had some really strong spice flavors going on; it reminded me of a good spicy, not spicy hot, meatloaf but a bit dryer. Also reminds me a lot of beef koobideh and my favorite Persian place. So I’ll be back. Great for those on a low or no carb diet when ordering one of the kabob salads. Owner or manager was doing bookkeeping at a table and offered me some extra pita type bread with my hummus. That was a nice gesture. I see reviews about the hummus being bland but I thought it was quite flavorful for plain hummus and the bread was soft and warm, yum. For those of you looking specifically for it — the gyro meat is Zabiha Halal.
