I absolutely love this place. Chili omelet was amazing and service was quick and friendly. Great atmosphere. It was clear that all the employees were having a great time which is important for an upbeat place like this. Don’t be fooled by the big line outside the Big Bean, this restaurant is fantastic too. And great music!

I really wanted this place to work… I like the in-town location and feel. They have a nice setup and hearty menu. Good appetizer and entrée selection. It was $ 5 burger night which is an excellent idea. They have other«nights» as well(Friday fish night). This place has all the basics of being a prime eatery. We started off with fried pickles and peppers which were really good and i like the pepper idea, sweet and hot. We played trivial pursuit Q&A which was real fun. However, it took quite a while to get our entrée to arrive and the burgers were bland, it wasn’t the bun(which was a Pretzel roll) it was the meat. I was surprised and disappointed. Like I said, I really wanted this place to work. The staff seemed overloaded and our waitress had to work the sidewalk tables and a number of tables inside. She was bolting back and forth for sure. I also ordered a side of mashed that came after I finished the burger plate. She took them off the bill and put them in a doggy bag for us to take home. That was a nice gesture. We noticed other tables waiting for their food too. Here’s some advice; put another waitress on, have a hostess sit people when they arrive they could also bus tables(seating yourself is mediocre) make the burgers tastier and watch the time to serve. You’re sitting on a gold mine, it just needs a little more TLC. We will be back when others start raving.

Solid tavern, don’t expect anything crazy, the food is pretty good for a burgers, fries and apps type of place. As long as you don’t get too adventurous from the pub staple food you’ll be fine. I did not like Italian night. At All. Drinks are cheap, they have specials every night, including $ 3 Mai Tai Monday! It’s definitely a good place to chill and have a few drinks…

Went here last night, with three others, after finding out that Rocky’s keeps F’d up summer hours. First time in here, and I seriously doubt that I’ll be back. It’s not that anything was absolutely terrible; more that nothing stretched an inch beyond mediocre. If you buy the stereotype about older people loving their low-end, bland food, then this is the place to take them. I ordered the pasta and meatballs(as there were several signs lauding the homemade meatballs), and asked for tortellini as my pasta. I have never experienced tortellini this pasty in my life. Not the cheese center, which would be somewhat understandable, but the pasta itself. It was like chewing on flavorless play-dough, or the congealed toothpaste from around a dried out nozzle. As for the meatballs… they were less than the advertized half-pound, very bland, and also somewhat pasty. I could throw together better at home, at any time, without going shopping for ingredients first. The sauce was also not to my liking(but, at least it wasn’t over-sweet, as some places make it). The soup of the night was good– a solid average. My girlfriend got a burger. She always goes for well-done, which is pretty hard to mess up, so she was happy enough with it. Her spicy sweet-potato fries would have been great, were they not(somehow) served colder than the ambient air. The other two meals at out table were cottage pie and a pulled-pork quesadilla. The cottage pie h
