The salad bar Ruby Tuesdays is known for brings us to the table often. We have been to a bunch of different locations and for some reason had not tried this location which is fairly close to us. I will start by saying that I never have high expectations for chain restaurants like this one. I know that due to corporate greed things get muddled and makes the experience of working there somewhat painful for the little guy(bartenders, waitresses, busboys). There is not a huge variety of salad bars that we are aware so we do Ruby’s. There is something in the water at this Ruby Tuesdays because we had a phenomenal time! We walked in to a clean, bright, and beautiful dining area. We were greeted by happy and helpful people. We were served quickly and the food was delicious! Our server was Sam, give it up for Sam! He has a perfect personality for any type of customer service, genuine and bubbly! I hope our tip was big enough because he lights the place up! We ordered 2 salad bars, a mozzarella stick appetizer, and cheddar biscuits. The cheddar biscuits were hot and served by the time we finished making our salads! We have had entire meals at other locations before finally receiving biscuits! Our mozzarella sticks came out shortly after and were very good. Very crisp on the outside, gooey on the inside, and not soaked in grease. The star of our meal was the salad bar. Fully stocked with all the fresh ingredients we have come to expect. I will surely be back to this location and may just call ahead to see if Sam is there!

Good for you Ruby Tuesday! My mom got catering from here(who knew) and it was very tasty, and no one got sick(I had a traumatizing experience at the Southington location many years ago, and haven’t returned since). It was a balsamic chicken with string beans and mashed potatoes, and cheddar rosemary biscuits. All of it was very good! The drawback: It says it should feed 4 to 6 people. I would say it could serve 4 at most. There were 6 chicken ½ breasts, a mound of taters, and a healthy scoop of string beans, in one aluminum container. And there were exactly 6 biscuits, the size of a small ice cream scoop. Everything was good, the stars being those little buns, and the beans. The cost was $ 38. At Cavos down the street, for the same price you get huge amounts of the pasta of your choice, tons of chicken, a giant Greek salad, and delicious Greek bread. This would feed 6 to 8 easy. Either way, I was still very impressed with the flavor of the food, and if someone wanted to go to this Ruby Tuesday for a meal, I would happily go.

Ordered the Cajun jambalaya, it wasn’t even hot, more like room temperature honestly. I had to ask the waiter to go microwave my pasta because I was in a rush and didn’t have time for them to do anything else with it. Pretty disappointing. Also the biscuits looked terrible, they were drenched in whatever butter sauce you guys use. Definitely would not return to this location. The only reason this review isn’t an one star is because they accepted my coupon for $ 8 off 2 entrees.

SO, I went to Ruby Tuesday’s yesterday. Walked in, waiter’s at the bar, manager on her phone, but I was really hungry. I was sat by the hostess, the only good one there, oh wait she sat me near the bathroom, when there were a ton more seats open, so now I’ll hear people shitting all night. I ordered a water, and the adult Mac N’ Cheese. When I got it, I thought they got my order mixed up and gave me cheese soup. Once I digged through the cheese soup, I finally found 5 little pastas on the bottom. Cmon. I didn’t even care. I payed them, and left a tip. One copper penny. But the good part was, one of the waiters at the bar, PASSEDOUT, and since everyone was drunk, they just laughed. At that moment, I just go out, place is a freak show. I do not recommend traveling here to eat anytime.

This Ruby Tuesday is a joke. Horrible and unprofessional staff(as pictured above) … all hanging out, texting, at the bar– half working, the other half must be off the clock; but even the manager is sitting in the bar chit chatting with the hostess all the while condoning this behavior. If you want a job but don’t want to work. This is the place to apply.

I went in here to pick up take out and I felt as if I were a bother to the staff. Apart from awesome grilled mozzarella(I can buy the same at the grocery store and save some $), I’m not sure why I’d ever come back here. A shame, the classic American restaurant can be a great bastion of comfort food when done correctly. Hope the Ruby Tues national team gets this location in much better shape, because the over 65 crowd that frequents this place isn’t going to keep this one running forever.

Suffice to say, I will never come back to this place! Tilapia isnt fresh, managment actually told us it came frozen in single packages(Ewww!) Everything coming out of that kitchen was burnt, fish was bland and tastes muddy… Dont waste your time or money in this place, there are plenty of other places on the turnpike you can go. Gave it one star because u couldnt give it less!

I won’t wonder why, when they go out of business. We went in on Saturday night barely anyone there. We waited up front for 2 minutes while staff stood around and talked by the bar. Needless to say we walked out and won’t be back.

H and I were grocery shopping at Stew Leonard’s and suddenly felt the urge for an early dinner. I was craving a salad. What do you when a pregnant lady wants a salad? YOUGETSALAD! We were actually going to go all the way to Westfarms, but I Googled«Ruby Tuesday CT» and found this to be the closest! Couldn’t believe it. I don’t know how we’ve driven by and not realized the chain was by Outback, IHOP and Azteca? Alas, we made our way and were situated in a private lot with ample parking. H and I were immediately seated in the farrrrrr end by the hostess. It felt near dead when we arrived. And it took a little while for the waiter to come– I guess there was some confusion to what was his side and what wasn’t. I didn’t understand at the time, but ended up seeing that we were the only table on the other side of the huge partition. He(and one other server) was basically serving the majority of patrons. Either way, he was actually one of the kindest Ruby Tuesday servers I’ve ever had. Seriously. He didn’t even go above and beyond. He just made sure H and I had refills, understood charges to the additions we made, ensured we liked our food. Basic waiter stuff and I was floored! BESTRUBYTUESDAYWAITEREVERRR! Go Jose! H ordered the bourbon porkchop with a side of mac & cheese and rice pilaf with mango tea. The seared meat looks noooothing like it did in the pictures, but whatever. The rice was lackluster and mac & cheese left more to be desired. I ordered herb crusted tilapia with mashed potatoes, a few trips to the salad bar and raspberry lemonade. The tilapia was served with a really good butter sauce. The mashed potatoes left more to be desired. BUT everything was piping hot when served. And that really made all the difference!(I noticed the flavor lessened and wasn’t as great as the food naturally cooled.) Not bad!

Surprisingly good, many choices of side veg dishes, even for the kids meals, ours picked sugar snap peas and grilled green beans. I had the Asian peanut ribs, they were delicious. Great service overall. Really a surprise, all four of us liked it, even the kids(4 and 7)

Well there is not too much to write. The Salad bar is good and that is about it for the meal I had. My entrée was horrible. There is nothing else I could say.

Not a great experience. Had to send back burger. Asked for medium and it came out still mooing. They brought out same burger that looked microwaved since the lettuce came back out insanely wilted. Got the portobello mushroom pretzel burger. never again :/

The wife and I had the newborn Unilocaler with us today on the Berlin turnpike so we were looking for a lunch that wasnt fast food. We opted for Rub Tuesdays because we wanted the consistency of a quick meal, and good service. We werent looking for anything palate inspiring here, but just a couple of burgers and sodas. The trip was dreadful. The restaurant, being only ¼ full around 1 pm should not have had these problems. We even had to put them o the clock 2 separate times, where we were ready to leave for Arby’s(GASP!!!) just to get some food into our stomachs. The issues 1. After being sat at our table(without silverware or napkins) we were there 20 minutes with menus before our server returned to take our order. 2. Many(at least 5) tables had been left dirty and not bused from previous customrs. 3. Once our waiter did come back for our order, we placed it for an avocado turkey burger(no lettuce, tomato, onion and extra mayonnaise) and a bacon cheese pretzel burger with(no mayonnaise). 4 Once again the wait began. At least during this time we were given our drinks. 5. We noticed people seated after us that had already received their entrees and were about halfway done with them when our food arrived. 6. The manager and host were busing tables and bringing food out to people in our section. Again, an issue that is not a big problem if not for the fact that the restaurant was empty. 7. My turkey burger and fries were fine. They did forget the mayo, but i guess my hips didn need that anyways. 8. Wife’s pretzel burger was to specs ordered but the burger itself was so greasy that it appeared inedible. N jokes aside, the cross section she showed me was revolting with grimy grease running up and down the pink of the meat. Totally unappetizing. 9. Fries were fine We got the check and left without saying a word. Just to be clear, this could have been an off day, could have been short handed, but these issues shouldnt arise when it is past the lunch rush and the place is empty. My wife and I came to RTs todya looking for consistency, both in food and service. We received neither. An acknowledgement that the waiter was struggling could have gone a long way as well, as I clearly noticed him having some issues multitasking the three tables he was assigned. As I said as well, the food was fine for what we wanted for lunch, but after two similar experiences at diferent Ruby Tuesday’s, we will be going somewhere different the next time it is an option.

i feel really bad considering all the other reviews are one star, but i reserve those for the worst, and my experience here wasn’t one of the worst — however i have had plenty of those. our server was friendly/competent, and actually smiled. «ashley». seems like a rarity these days, a true diamond in the rough. she gets a star. nothing in the salad bar ever looks appetizing or worth paying for, so i don’t even bother. but my biggest gripe of them all is the«fall off the bone _____» tagline they put on their ribs. then when you get them, they’re not fall off the bone at all. i had the memphis dry rub, although i did enjoy them, they weren’t as advertised. they have so many non-exotic, basic sides that you have to get charged $ 1 extra for too. don’t know why. just add them with the rest of the sides in the normal price, or just up the normal price and don’t even bother with that special«$ 1 extra» section. nobody wants to see that. this place seemed rather dead too. there was a family finishing up as we sat down, and a family who sat down as we were already sitting. i think we may have gotten there before a dinner«rush», and i use that term loosely. it was around 530 – 6 on a weekday. or this could be an obvious sign to avoid this place since it really is nothing special, just another chain restaurant on the berlin turnpike, with an identical food menu and atmosphere. at the same time — the outback steakhouse lot was packed, and they’re right next door in the parking lot.

Usually this place is great! Today I was really disappointed. The salad bar looked horrific. The greens looked old and some of the things weren’t even put out yet. And it was 3 pm. I had to ask for it and watched them make space to add it. I ordered the Ruby Minis. They came with garlic biscuits. The biscuits were half the size they normally are and were rock hard. I asked for a fresh one. They came out right before I got my check. My mini burgers were so cold the cheese wasn’t even melted and the fries were freezing. I would have asked the waiter to redo this, but he was too busy hanging out with all the servers at the end of the bar. Very disappointing.

This place and all of the Ruby Tuesday’s around have turned into a VERY disappointing experience. The salad bar has turned into some sort of bare bones salad, where you’re getting lettuce, cheese(if you’re lucky), and maybe some peas. That’s a little exaggerated, but not too much. The food is bland, and nothing to write home about. I live in the area of this restaurant and will pick any other place around, before I go there. Used to love Ruby Tuesday, but it’s definitely gone downhill quickly.

I am not sure why restaurant chains like Ruby Tuesdays flourish while independently operated restaurants are closing left and right. We shared a terrible quesadilla and each ordered a hamburg platter. Our dinners included an uninspired salad bar. Even with a 2⁄1 coupon I won’t be returning.

I normally love Ruby Tuesday’s but this particular one is terrible. They got the orders completely wrong. Then refused to fix it. The crap they served didn’t match the description on the menu, or what other Ruby’s serve. Wait staff was rude and useless. Tip: Get a whole new staff!!!
