Dairy Queen

What can you say bad about ice cream? I went once so far this season and was pleased that the girl remade my Blizzard before even giving it to me because she said it was too liquidy. I appreciated that and my banana split blizzard was tasty! My son enjoyed his Blizzard too and we went home happy.

I have been coming her since I was a small child and it has not changed. They had a very long line and the ice cream was yummy just like I remember. The only thing missing was my grandpa but what can you do. They also have a local menu and we got the strawberry short cake and it was yummy. I also got a cone. YUM!

I stopped here for a cone last night after not coming here for YEARS. No particular reason for not coming, just never got around to it I guess. I was so happy to see that they sell Orange Julius since I usually go to the one in the Buckland Mall when I want one and this Dairy Queen is down the street from where I live. I got a cone and my boyfriend got an Orange Julius. The cone was fine, but the Orange Julius was really light and kind of watery tasting. Not thick and frozen like they should be, and like how the Buckland Mall location makes them. But, I’m mostly giving this location only 2 stars because of the service. The teenage girls that were working there were huffing and sighing the whole time like we were keeping them from their text messaging and twittering to make us our order. They seemed less than thrilled to be there, and I was more than thrilled to not give them a tip.
Oh, and also, the parking sucks. Park at Stop and Shop across the street and walk over.

Every time I drove by here, the place was PACKED.
Since there’s only one DQ in the state I live in, I had to come here and try it.
Fast service, nice helpful staff, clean environment and right on the corner so it’s easy to get to as it’s right on the Berlin Turnpike.

DQ is the bomb– even a small cone is so big you can’t finish it. This place is always packed and the parking is horrible but cmon its DQ. great ice cream!

I’m only giving Dairy Queen 4 stars because i love love love Dairy Queen. However this location on a hot summer’s day is enough to drive anyone crazy. The parking situation is very cramped, and there is always a very slow moving line that you’ll have to stand in while the hot summer sun leans on your forehead. Not fun. But definitely worth it just for a Peanut Buster Parfait.

If you’ve never tried a Dairy Queen Blizzard ice cream you are missing out. Classic summertime favorite treat. My favorite is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with Chocolate ice cream Blizzard.
I’ve found the Dairy Queen located next to Rookies in Cromwell makes the most consistently great Blizzards around. It’s also one of the few eat in Dairy Queens around.
For food, their Flamethrower chicken sandwich and burgers are great. Their iron grilled turkey sandwiches are wonderful as well.
Their milkshakes and malts are great too. My favorites are their Marshmellow Malts and Peanut Butter Shakes.
It’s no wonder that Warren Buffett is an investor in this company… they are fantastic.
