It’s a strange location that you can’t see from the street, but there’s a sign next to the IHOP sign. Even the exit seems strange too. Anyway, I had the double chicken avocado tostada and it was pretty tasty. The girl at the counter wanted to give me some green dressing and I asked what other type and she said ranch. She said she was out but would be right back. So she decided to call out the next two numbers and didn’t get my ranch dressing so I decided to get some mild salsa instead. Would’ve been four stars but for the service I’m giving it three stars.

Worst pollo loco location! This place was a mess today, manager didn’t know how to handle lots of clients. They didn’t have what I ordered, they gave me old and dark meat chicken, not fresh pinto beans and rice. I was shocked! You can tell they were very disorganized and not clean. I love pollo loco but I’m not coming back to this one, I’ll will give it a try but not this location.

I came in even though I read bad reviews. Staff here is very friendly, that’s the only thing nice here. Unfortunately their system has many problems and caused a 10 minute delay where no orders could go through. I was the one who was at the register when this happened and was on my way to work. They only gave me a weak apology but didn’t offer me ½ off my food or a free meal for the inconvenience. In fact they almost charged me extra since the guy was confused. Won’t be coming here again. The food was good so I won’t say anything on that. The location is very confusing with no signs on the street to tell you where to turn and has a run down parking lot behind an ihop. I’ve never given a bad review but this truly earned it.

The most disgusting food served by a great place !!! To start off the cashier didn’t know what she was doing! super slow no one In line you would expect better service .i went thru drive thru I have little ones so I come home to eat .i orderd 2 meals I got mash Mac and rice well the Mac and cheese looked like a nasty ball of overcooked Mac and cheese .then a chicken leg was burned to the point where you can no longer eat it !!! My tortillas were harder than a tostada disgusting. avoid this place save your money In n out or something else!!! never again

Currently sitting in the car at this location waiting on my husband to come back. We went through the drive through and as it was the service was meh. The man wasn’t the nicest drive through employee I’ve ever met. But I’m sure he’s had a long weekend with all the traffic of people coming home and leaving. Anyway, I ordered a double shrimp bowl with corn tortillas and asked for green salsa. I got a chicken bowl red salsa, and flour tortillas. I caught the red salsas and asked for green before we left the window. I was willing to deal with the flour tortillas as I noticed those while we were driving off but we stopped in the parking lot and I noticed the bowl was wrong too. husband just got back in the car and they took my flour tortillas back but the line for corn was 20 minutes!!! Won’t be coming back here again!

Haven’t been to L Pollo Loco in years decided to go today. Ordered an ultimate tostada(double chicken) and when I got it, It didn’t have the extra chicken and the bowl was half full. First time eat out and was still super hungry after and went to Ralphs next door. I want to tell the manager but just steam bother anymore. Should’ve gone to in and out burger or Carl’s Jr. up the street.

Worst Pollo Loco ever! They never get our order right and always forget the tortillas or salsa. Consistently bad here for the last 5 years straight!

Friendly staffing and great food. Sometimes the wait can get pretty long due to the fact we only have two locations in this town so both of them are always busy. But still always good quality

I probably go to this el Pollo Loco 3 times a month coming from up North and literally it is my fave of all times. They can never hear me over the intercom and I have to repeat my order 59 million times but boy do they always give me good, hot, fresh food EVERYTIME I GO. Now I know its just fast food and not much to rave about but there cook their pinto beans with so much flavor and grace! The chicken is always crisp and moist and the tortillas warm and fresh. I will continue to be a loyal customer even if I have to repeat my order 1059 times. ITSWORTHIT

Such a bummer bc I’m a huge fan of polo loco, but every time I come to this location I wait in the drive thru entirely too long, always have to remind the staff to give me salsa and my drink. Nice people, but I think the manager needs to make things go a little smoother. There are 4 cars in line and I’ve been here for 15 min. Had plenty of time to write a Unilocal review while waiting!!! GRRRRMEHANGRY!

Quick stop and didn’t want the typical fast food. They no longer served the carne asada burritos that they advertise, so I got the shrimp burrito. Its was good and pretty easy to control while you’re driving.

Love El Pollo Loco, but this location consistently makes you wait 20 – 25 minutes for any menu items with Chicken. It’s a CHICKEN restaurant, and they are always out of CHICKEN. Not to mention the state of their dining room and salsa bar, dirty. Bad reflection of an otherwise great restaurant chain.

This location is doing MUCH better! Not sure what changes were made but the place is cleaner and the experience has drastically improved. Keep it up!

El Pollo Loco can be a pretty healthy fast-food choice if you do it right. My friends and I had to last-minute pick up food to bring to dinner. We got the 12 piece mixed family meal with their signature mango avocado salad and two sides and churros. $ 30 for the signature salad meal, not too bad. I love the crazy chicken, it’s more flavorful than a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. It is 220 calories for the breast with skin and 179 calories for breast piece without skin. The mango avocado salad was pretty good! I’m picky about churros, this one was a little too chewy! I just ate half, but who is counting: p

I do not know what happened to this place, but we usually eat here on our way back from LAX and The food never disappoints us, but this time after eating here my stomach hurt SO bad! AND the chicken was BURNT! I ate it because well, I was hungry and I was with my in-laws and I can’t make a big deal but this was really bad this time. Everything else was fine, I do know what I ate differently which was the avocado sauce and the churros but the chicken was not the business, usually it isn’t burnt and I guess my family likes it that way but it was not happening for me. I also dislike the restroom, there is only ONE stall and there is no sign when you lock the door that it says ‘occupied’ or ‘vacant’. If I would have known their food would give me a stomach ache, I would have not ate it all! Maybe next time it will be better. HOPEFULLY.

I work as a business consultant, this place is a case study. Here’s what’s wrong: 1) Long line during lunch time, restaurant has two registers but only one open, worker going very slow, about 15 minutes just to order. 2) I had a coupon for $ 1 off. Employee had no idea what it was nor could he figure it out. Since he didn’t know he gave me a 10% Senior Discount instead, I’m not a senior, got 70 cents off. 3) Found an empty table, very dirty. 4) Pollo Loco strives on getting food ready in 2 minutes, took about 12 minutes. 5) Got my food. Salad and broccoli were good, but chicken was burnt and dry. Tasted awful, yet ate it as I was starving.(There is an AM/PM across the street, after I left I went to buy a Milky Way bar to get rid of the burnt aftertaste). there’s more … 6) The line to order finally ended. When it did the employees behind the counter went into chatting mode, with themselves. This while every single table was filthy with food all over. 7) One family saw a table, of course it was dirty, they called one of the employees behind the counter to clean up. He did. The problem was, that’s the ONLY table he cleaned before gong back to behind the counter. 8) There was absolutely no room for the trash, all the trashcans, at least four, were filled to the top. Customers were placing their dirty trays on top of more dirty trays with residual food as no one from the restaurant made a round to clean them. 9) At one point there were no empty seats for customers. Girl worker goes on her brake and takes the only available booth in the entire restaurant(a both which seats 4 people). A father and a little kid almost got the table but the girl beat them to it. She didn’t even notice. The father then says to his kid, «you wanna sit outside?» 10) Same girl sitting by herself on booth that seats 4 people decides to put her feet up reaching to the other side of the booth. All around her there were napkins and food on the floor, and right in front of her one of the trashcans that was completely filled to the top, along with the dirty trays with food on the side. But of course, she’s on break. Had I known I would have never stopped here, whoever manages this place should be fired immediately.

I love the crazy chicken, but this was my first visit to their pico canyon location. It’s a little tough to see from Lyons, so you have to know its there.(very easy to see from freeway, but it’s tucked behind the ihop) traffic on Lyons is zooms fast so watch yourself. People can be jerks! Okay. Why do I love the crazy chicken? Well. The food is fresh and there are lots and lots of non-processed foods available. That’s an important thing to someone who avoids fast foods and additives — to me, this place is healthy food fast instead of fast food. I had the carne asada tosta bowl today. Very yummy.(I don’t eat the tostadas, but I snapped off a small piece and it even had a good taste — so many places, the tostadas are rancid and nasty!) They were surprisingly busy, but the place was very clean and the woman at the counter, Letticia, was a smiley helpful, pleasant human. I like that, so I’ll visit this location again. I like being able to eat healthy, for under $ 10 including drink(passion mango unsweetened ice tea)
