As always follow the Unilocal reviews… came to this place because of it. Sat in the terrace with my friend, it was such a beautiful day. There are 101 omelets to choose from, so there HAS to be something for you. I ordered the sausage and eggs, a cappuccino, a pancake and a Kir Royale… OMG perfectly cooked eggs! Yummy hash browns and tasty sausages! and the pancake was fluffy and ginormous! Customer service was lacking, but I must say the food made up for it. I am anxiously waiting to have another cappuccino and kir royale again soon.

Me and my husband love this place. It it one of the only places he will go for Sunday morning Breakfast. My only complaint is that everyone loves it sooo much that it can get very crowded and have long wait times but worth the wait.

I was so excited to try this place based on reviews but it definitely didn’t meet up to our expectations. We got there at around 11:30 so we decided on lunch instead of breakfast and maybe that was our mistake. We both got cheeseburgers and the bread was stale and hard and the burger had absolutely no flavor. The French fries were good though. Our waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be there which made us feel like she wanted us to hurry up. My husband and I were so excited to try this place but I don’t know if we will be back. Maybe the breakfast is better and someday we might still give that a try but I feel like I wasted $ 40.

Egg plantation is the perfect place to have breakfast with your special someone, family or friends. It is casual but it has class and they support artists helping to hawk their work, but most importantly while the food seems to have been better tasting in the past, it is still good fare. Personally I order from the«employee pics» menu because I like their originality and variety. There’s no doubt that this place has been doing many things right as can be seen by the waiting crowds of people. The kitchen staff and the servers especially get high honors for providing great service. Unfortunately we won’t be back to patronize this popular establishment due to the ethnic bias and prejudice that we saw from an employee working the podium(the«hostess») and because of what other Unilocalers are reporting as of late. As long time customers my wife and I have become acquainted with some of the staff, and the routine/time it takes to be seated. So we were disappointed when a newer employee running the command center outside was overheard by me and my wife, muttering to another employee, referring to specific groups of waiting customers(anyone that was not white) as «those friggin’ black people over there» or the«The old Chinese lady» Who by the way was totally a Filipino man. We were so disillusioned and disgusted! Why??? Couldn’t you just be cool, casual and not racist? Why that person is working in this capacity is beyond me. It was so shamefully uncomfortable, we had to leave and say goodbye.

I went here for the first time last week for breakfast. I found it from Unilocal and it had good reviews. It is in a nice area. The wait time wasn’t too long and we got pretty good seats. The staff was nice and the food was really good. Can’t wait to come back.

I like to come here on Sunday’s after church, their country potatoes are my favorite part of the meal and their home made hot sauce is really good as well. I recommend the white chocolate mocha absolutely delicious. There is always an hour wait which is why I gave 4 stars.

The food was ordinary, nothing special. If you’re the type of person who gets excited about a lot of options, this is the place for you. However, since there are so many options, nothing on the menu is truly amazing. To clarify, the reason this place deserves one star is due to the terrible service I received. Perhaps if the service was better, the food would’ve tasted better to me. The waitress who served me and my family was annoyingly outwardly racist. She spoke to my dad, who speaks English with an accent, as if he couldn’t understand her. My family didn’t receive the friendly and polite attitude from her as the customers sitting at the table next to us did. I suggest this establishment hold a workshop on racism for their employees.

Came here with my boyfriend because he claimed this was the only good breakfast spot in his hometown and I didn’t have much trouble believing him because it was really good. The wait was only 20 minutes on a Saturday. Granted, we got there at 1:30PM(and it was our first meal of the day lol) and it closed at 2PM, so the short wait was understandable. Meanwhile, we got tacos at his favorite taco spot while we waited for our seats LOL. I got the Pesto Scramble, which came with house potatoes and toast, though I subbed a pancake for the toast because I was REALLY craving a pancake. It cost me a couple dollars extra but that one pancake was enormous and so fluffy. The scramble itself was good, but it could have been a bit more seasoned because it was slightly bland. Potatoes were great! The portions are so huge I only ate about half and had to take the rest home. My boyfriend got the Huevos Rancheros and holy mother of — it not only looked amazing, but it was so good. I definitely recommend. Service was pleasant and attentive. Will be back if I’m in the area!

This kind of place thrives on letting people order too much food and spend a minimum of $ 60 or so for a couple who might have a bloody Marys. The potatoes are abundant and picturesque but not very delicious. Tabletops are tiny. Huge variety tho. PLEASE somebody get some fly traps from Home Depot for these aggressive balcony flies!

While on my way back home to the bay area after visiting and staying with my friend in Manhattan Beach for the last few days, I was ready to make that voyage out early this morning to assure I got home before sunset. I love stopping at little mom and pop like restaurants while on little road trips; and go out of my way to avoid having to succumb to fast food joints while traveling. So while approaching this little town of Newhall, I decided to open the Unilocal app and do a quick search of any actual restaurants worthy of stopping at. Being an omelette– a-haulic, after noticing this egg place and that they specialize in omelettes, it had me quickly navigating on over. Located in a tiny little shopping center, the restaurant too, is also fairly small; it does however, seem to provide a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I have to be honest, the vibes I got from some of the staff at first, was a little cold and uninviting. Almost had be thinking for a split second, that it may just be for local families only? lol, but being myself, I don’t let things like that discourage me… especially when I’m hungry :) They really do offer an astonishing selection of omelettes to choose from… something near 100? Little pricey, but not bad. For starters I had some coffee(coffee was excellent). For food, I ordered a Denver Omelette — just requested it to be egg white and instead of the ham it comes with, I just subed for turkey sausage(they have an excellent selection of healthy alternatives). It comes with the usual suspects — hash browns and toast — I just opted out on both and subed for fruit. The food arrived within a reasonable amount of time, looking extremely delicious along with the omelette being quite generous in portion. Omelette turned out quite tasteful and very fresh. Overall, can’t say I would go out of my way to come here again, but I would certainly be frequenting this place if I lived close by.

My mom and I came on Mother’s Day prepared to wait a long time for a table. We found out later that you can cut down your time waiting by calling in on the phone before coming. Luckily, Egg Plantation has plenty of complimentary coffee and cookies to keep you company. You can also order and pay for drinks on the menu. The Bloody Mary was legit looking(though it SHOULDBE for $ 10) and my mom liked it. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes, which went by pretty fast because of said alcohol to keep things happy. Thanks to the wait, we were able to peruse the massive menu of 101 omelettes and more ahead of time. My mom and I shared two signature items: the pesto scramble and the strawberry stuffed french toast. The strawberry stuffed french toast was good, but too sweet to eat all of it. I really liked the pesto scramble and would get it again since it’s pretty unique. Very nice savory meal. I also had the chai latte. Kind of pricy at almost $ 5, but I really liked the biscotti that came with it. The chai latte also had a creamy consistency, which was different from other chai lattes I’ve had. Only complaint is that it took a while to get the check and to have the money collected. We could have been out of the Egg Plantation at least 15 minutes earlier and given up our table to someone in the huge waiting horde. We were honestly fine with it because we were in no hurry, but from a business perspective I think Egg Plantation needs to hire more servers to make turnover faster. Lastly, it was awesome that Egg Plantation gave my mom a $ 10 gift certificate to use next time since it was Mother’s Day. Super awesome and thoughtful. This is a reason why I like non-chain restaurants. P. S. don’t forget to take home your boxed leftovers. Sigh I’m still sad about my lost french toast.

I’m so frustrated. My son and I had breakfast together at egg plantation. My food was as cold as the ground outside and my sons waffle was wrong on the middle. We never had a chance to send it back with the waitress because she basically abandoned us the entire time that we were there. I sent them an email to let them know what happened, they said that they were going to take care of it and give us a gift card and then never responded to me afterwards. No more egg plantation for this family.

I had my first breakfast in California at Egg Plantation. What an experience it was! My friend and I started out having a Cranmosa(Champagne with a splash of cranberry juice) and a Bellini(of peach schnapps topped with peach nectar). I ordered a number 66(Premium Crab, Shrimp, Jack Cheese & Clams) and I added mushrooms and avocados. I also added the O’brien potatoes. The order also came with a biscuit and asked for the gravy on the top(which comes with meat by the way) Talk about YUM! Everything was cooked to perfection. The omelette was HUGE and I was not able to finish it. This can honestly be shared between two people. Our waiter was awesome and the ambiance is very welcoming. They do not take reservations so it’s best to get their early.

We wanted to try this place because it was ALWAYS! Busy. So we toughed it out and waited for about 45 minutes to an hour. The food was good, it was not the best we ever had, but I would give it a 3 star. Staff was friendly. Only bummer was they say is inside and we noticed there was flys all over the Windows. And that’s because the door is always opening and closing. We went in the summer of 2015. We got the country fried steak, it was good, It did not taste as fresh as I would have liked it to be. We also god the plantation Benedict, it was good, no complaints. Also got the half order biscuits and gravy, The gravy was not as good as I wanted it to be. I give this place 3 stars.

Some say that you should definitely get anything with an egg when eating at an establishment called the Egg Plantation. But there were dozens upon dozens of omelets to choose from not to mention other savory goodies like eggs benedict. So what’s a girl to do? Well, you look for the customer favorites!!! Hah! The customer favorites are highlighted on their extensive menu and employee favorite menu by an asterik mark. So I went for the knockout punch and chose from the employee recommendation menu and chose a customer favorite. What was it you say? Peanut butter french toast, that’s what! Yes, it was sooooo good. Listen, I don’t even really like peanut butter but something about this dish just called out to me. I kid you not. The peanut butter leaves you wanting more. It elevated the french toast to a new level. I couldn’t finish it and took it home but I could not stop thinking about when I could eat my leftovers. That’s how good it was. Yum. The other dishes ordered at my table were equally scrumptious. Free coffee refills… just coffee not espresso drinks like lattes or café au lait. Service is efficient and the restaurant is very popular so expect a wait… but it’s worth it. The only drawback is that there are only 2 unisex restrooms and it’s a big place.

After playing basketball last weekend, we decided to give Egg Plantation a visit and had a fabulous experience. The restaurant is located in downtown Newhall on Walnut Street. Love the area for its old town feel. Parking though can be a challenge, mostly streets and a few limited shared lots. It was fairly busy when we arrived but we didn’t have to wait long and they were able to accommodate a party of 4 quickly. We were seated in a covered patio and atmosphere was nice, most of the tables had heaters to keep us comfortable. There was a guy performing on his electric guitar seated near us playing some wicked tunes. Nice vibe and perfect setting to relax. The menu was quite extensive so many breakfast options, especially on omeletes which was probably why it’s called«egg plantation.» We ordered the huevos rancheros, corned beef hash, and bacon & cheese omelet. Myself, I was tempted to go with the omelete, but decided to go with the daily special«chicken and waffles.» Prices were reasonable, meals range $ 11-$ 15 and portion were just right. Our order came in reasonable time and everything looked great. Everyone was pleased with their omelets. The eggs were cooked to perfection and so delicious. No complaints either on country potatoes, generous portions and very well-seasoned. The highlight for me was the chicken and waffles. Such a cool flavor combination, sweet-and-savory never gets old. Egg Plantation nailed it and got it right — juicy, golden brown, crisp and flavorful chicken. Followed up by golden, lightly crisp, buttery waffles, and sweet syrup… it was terrific! Only complaint was that the drumstick and thighs were kind of small. We were all stuffed and pleased by our meal, total annihilation with every crumb accounted for. Service was great too, our server was friendly and helpful. Definitely planning a return trip soon.

I’ve been here twice and have had pleasant dining experiences on both accounts. Get the BASILSCRAMBLE, it’s amazing! Also, their biscottis are kind of out of this world too. They have parking on either sides of the restaurant, but it can still take a few minutes to park because it gets so packed. I wish they’d take reservations, but they don’t…boo. That would probably be one of my only cons. It gets way to packed, even on weekdays.

This place was seriously a dream for me. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, so this is my kind of place. I found it off of a Unilocal search when we wanted to stop in the Santa Clarita area for breakfast on a trip to the beach. We were lured in by the extensive menu options and awesome reviews. It’s not lies, people! We walked up and almost missed it because the outdoor seating is covered by vines, so it’s harder to spot. It is essentially a home redesigned into a restaurant open for lunch and breakfast. They have 101 omelette choices, lots of coffee options, and other breakfast treats. I got the strawberry stuffed French toast combo. To die for!!! The inside is strawberry cream cheese topped with strawberries. The bacon is perfection. The eggs were yummy. Everything was so fresh and the staff was so friendly. We loved the atmosphere. I will definitely be back as soon as I come through newhall ranch again!
