This review is for the Mother’s Day brunch here. The event is organized in the ballroom, and handled by the Banquets department. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the beautiful and gracious hostesses, and we were seated right away. This event is held in the ballroom, so lots of big round tables, beautifully decorated by vases of peonies, hydrangeas and gerbera daisies. The food stations are located around the room, salads, shrimp, sushi, etc on the right, meat carving station and the omelet, pasta, crêpe stations are in the middle, and there was a gentleman playing piano too. On the left is the hot entrees station, and there are 2 dessert stations and 2 coffee stations. Also on the right near the entrance there is a bar where we can order champagne and mimosas and other drinks. The food is ok, the prime rib is tender, and the varieties of food will satisfy different ranges of tastes. The cooks at various stations were very pleasant and eager to serve. The one star off was for the service at the table. While the hostesses were smiling and gracious, the servers may be overworked or they just did not care. Hard to track one down when you need something. I asked for the check from one server who was not our server, but instead of telling our server, she walked away and went to chat with another server. Yeah, that’s banquets service for you.

okay so I thought it would be a fun to take my son here and teach him how to golf. however that all changed very quickly. as soon as my son took his first swing some maniac that works there came out and started harassing him! he then took his golf club threw it across the green and told him he «made golf look too gay» so he could never return. when I intervened he back handed me in the face! I started weeping and my son looked at me disappointed. long story short I now look like a giant b*tch in the eyes of my boy.

I love the location of this course and the views are beyond description! This has turned into my home course and I love the facilities and the course is immaculate and the staff is very helpful. I always enjoy coming up to this place because of the location I can swing by because they are so close to where I live.

Great course and even better views. Loved playing both 18-hole courses but prefer China Creek for its views and easier play. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition when I played in June 2015. A little pricey but you pay for what you get, and if you plan ahead you can get a discount through Oki Golf. Again, a must play for Seattle.

Love! The prettiest place for all your events! Golf? Yes! Mini golf? Sure? Weddings? Birthdays? Yes! Even had my graduation brunch here. Funsie! I have yet to play on their course but I know my family love it. And my friends too. It is kept in such a tip top shape. And the views! Stunning, amazing, incredible views. Impressive to say the least. Special occasions here are that much better. We always come for Mother’s day brunch because well my mom loves it. The buffet is way too big for my liking but I’m not a buffet person so that’s just me. it is also big enough to host a lot of events. The upstairs area are more laid back. We’ve done few private parties up here as well as huge group brunches downstairs. Staff is always efficient and friendly .it is on the pricier side but you can’t complain with that incredible ambiance. Calcutta grill is stunning! And if that’s busy, go up to the Wooly toad for fireside something. Drinks, snacks etc. Stunning rustic ambiance. Make you feel like sipping scotch and reading a book. Hunting book perhaps? Miniature golf is so fun here. And its even better if you come for a company event. They set up the bar outside and the whole nine yard. Over all, it is my go to for sunny day brunches and sunset views. Beautiful property, stunning course, good staffs and food. And that view? Just incredible!

We have enjoyed our dining experience many times at the Calcutta Grill even though we do not golf. Service in the restaurant has always been very good, the portions generous and the food quality very good to excellent. The Pan Seared Day Boat Scallops are a favorite and should not be missed. Ask to be seated in the main dining room away from the bar which can be noisy at times. The view on a clear day or night is spectacular. Yes, we can recommend this restaurant.

Wow what a gorgeous venue. The venue over looks a lovely and lush landacape fittig for a wonderful photoshoot. I attended a wedding their that was supposed to be outside but due to the weather a tent was put up and it too was absolutely elegant. Service was stellar and the food was delicious. We had a cocktail hour so we tasted a variety of hor d’oeuvres. Every single one was flavorful and delicious. If I lived in Washington state and was getting married, I would definitely have this venue on my list.

The views! Holy smokes the views are incredible. Took my wife up to play their putting course, which was amazing. She is from Southern California, and was surprised to find literally a miniature golf course… no windmills or laughing clown heads here. It was really a lot of fun.

This is only for Calcutta Grill. Food was OK…2−3 stars. Service was slow and not attentive. Views were awesome. Wait time and helpfulness of host was sub par. Beautiful location. They were out of a bunch of breakfast food 1.5 hours before they stopped serving breakfast! Really?! Poor planning and inventory management! Go there for the views, but know the rest is a 2 – 3 star experience. My wife had the waffle… it was super hard and crunchy. Over cooked. The bacon was tasty. I had the eggs benedict and it was ok. Eggs were a little undercooked but that’s kind of typical. Overall, I’d order it again. They did bring out a fruit plate, complimentary, and it was good. Overall, I just expected higher quality service and food.

I only come here for Mother’s day brunch and business meetings. Mother’s day 2015 averaged $ 60 bucks a person with built in 20% tip. I have seen a 10 year trend of the brunches slowly shrinking. So it’s gone to best in class to. well meh… They have a full array of sushi, tapas, dessert, omelette and pasta cooking. Sadly the quality is slightly higher than what you’d receive at an embassy suites. It’s a great deal for 40 bucks on mother’s day. at 60, I’d spend the additional 40 and head to a Daniel’s Broiler, Palisades, or Anthony’s. Last, it’s not their fault but the cell reception stinks with almost all carriers so not a great place to be if you need data or need great voice reception.

I’ve been to the Golf Club at Newcastle on a few separate occasions. Our company had a 40-person golf outing here last August and we had an excellent time. The group went golfing and then we hosted a lunch for everyone at the Calcutta Grill after. For the evening we hosted a dinner in the tented outdoor terrace, which was gorgeous. The space was great and the food was wonderful as well. I have also been here for a vendor event recently, which was very nice as well. The event was in the spacious ballroom and the food at this event was great as well. They were showcasing their chef’s new menu that was delicious! Everyone there is great and easy to work with. The view from the golf course/club house is amazing and if you a have a chance to have an event in this venue it is a must!

This is a great place to take out of town guests. For golf or for drinks and dinner. The setting is beautiful and the view, on a clear day, is to die for! We live not to far from here and love to sit out on the patio on sunny days, have a snack and watch the sun set. Happy hour is 3 – 5 daily for discounts on food and drinks. We like their salads and salmon chowder. Also, a good please to have breakfast on the weekends too!

Review of MINIATUREGOLFONLY! This place has awesome views! I’ve been here once for a wedding and then mini golfing recently. Only other place I’ve gone to for mini golf was Interbay Golf. I guess it’s a big deal, but it is on real grass here as opposed to turf of some sort? $ 15 for adults, 18 holes. Totally worth it for the scenery and being in sucha pretty place. It gets chilly maybe because it’s high up? Coming in the evening will let you catch the sunset, but kinda breezy for even a summer night. Also, they don’t have colored golf balls! which they do at Interbay, and that was nice for a larger group to distinguish one from the other. Overall, good fun chill activity w/awesome scenery! I don’t golf golf, so mini golf is perfect! Cashier closes at 8pm; so get in before then.

The Golf Club at Newcastle sets the standard for what a golf club should be with an extravagent clubhouse, two pristine golf courses, a miniature golf course, incredible practice facilities, and an unforgettable view. The two courses are what I would consider links style golf with lots of rolling hills, bunkers, and knee high fescue separating the holes. China Creek plays much easier than Coal Creek, but both can be very challenging if you don’t keep your ball in the fairways. Lots of elevation change allow for challenging approach shots when judging distance, but also give you a great lookout for views. Don’t forget to grab a complimentary yardage book before you tee off as it can be very helpful as you play. Even if you aren’t a golfer come for dinner at the Calcutta Grill and stay for the sunset. The panoramic view is absolutely incredible! I personally enjoy sitting up on the balcony of the Wooly Toad, the second dining option in the clubhouse. It has an interior that looks like a page out of a Restoration Hardware catalog with gorgeous dark stained wood and leather furniture. Both restaurants serve great food that I would consider pretty typical pub fare with lots of Northwest flair. The Rusty Putter is the 18 hole minature golf course with real grass, sand bunkers, rockery, and ponds. I would highly recommend it for the kids or a date night! I’ve also heard wonderful things about their wedding venue, but have yet to attend one here. It seems like an ideal setting for a wedding and reception with food catered by the restaurant.

Gorgeous Venue & Excellent Staff/Service — This is THE place to get Married! First of all the venue is absolutely gorgeous! It sits on a hilltop overlooking downtown Seattle, downtown Bellevue, Lake Washington and on a clear day, the Olympic Mountains. The facility is very well maintained and from what I understand undergo constant updates and improvements. The grass is perfectly manicured, the flowers beautiful and abundant that it’ll compliment any wedding or event held there. It’s very clear they have a great management team that take pride of maintaining the space. We were assigned with a Newcastle Wedding Coordinator who unfortunately left the company 2 months after we booked the space. Kimberely, our replacement wedding coordinator, took over and the transition was seamless. She and the staff were extremely accommodating to our sometimes seemingly odd requests. For example we had several guests who were on a Buddhist diet of not eating garlic, onions and green onions. The chef was able to provide a special entrée for these guests(even through we opted for the buffet for everyone else). They were also encouraged to go to the buffet line for sides and veggies which had little signs to tell them whether or not it had garlic, onions and green onions. In addition, Newcastle was able to assist in my vision of the dessert table. Think of Style Me Pretty type dessert table where I had streamers, garland and pom poms hanging from a curtain rod. Newcastle attached the curtain rod with a fishing line from their wall/molding so it looks like it was floating. These were just a few things we were able to assist with. I could go on and on about Kimberely and the staff! We had our ceremony in the Prestwick Terrace which is their permanent outdoor tent structure. There’s a lot of draping, high ceilings, very open space. Our cocktail hour was in the patio, where lots of picture taking happened there(especially as the sun was setting.) Our reception took place in their Ballroom, very spacious and décor elegant, not stuffy. All of our guests can’t stop talking about the venue and view! It’s definitely one of the prime locations to get married in the greater Seattle area. Whenever I’m asked where I got married at, it usually followed by ‘you got married there?!’ with ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’! I do want to mention that Newcastle hosts as many as 3 weddings a day! You might come across another bride in passing but they do a good job flipping quickly/efficiently and putting up(attractive) barriers to separate the parties. Also when we went for the tasting, the food tasted absolutely delicious but then on the day of the wedding, the food wasn’t as memorable. The venue is also a little on the pricer side but I think for a wedding to remember for years to come, it is well worth it!!!
