This is the second tie in a row I have stopped here for pizza. Wow, the quality of the pizza over the years has really deteriorated. Huge areas with no cheese and over cooked and dried out sauce. I also waited for 45 minutes! I don’t believe the pizza maker is following proper procedures and instead just throwing on what he believes is the right sour of cheeses and sauce. If I were the CEO of Papa Gino’s I would require all pizza makers to attend retraining. Reset and recalibrate your product!

The food is what you expect at Papa Gino’s, and I happen to like it, but don’t go unless you have time to kill and lots of patience. The counter service is terribly inefficient. I was there today with one person in front of me in line. He was just trying to pay for a phoned-in to-go order. The server stopped twice to take other phone orders. She finally gave the guy his order and it was wrong. I stood there for at least ten minutes without anyone addressing me. There were 5 workers and a manager in the food prep area, but one person at the counter and she seemed unprepared. I got eye contact with the manager, but he ignored me. The counter server was obviously not trained, lacked hussle, and no one helped her. I left and tried to bypass her by calling from the parking lot and ordered a slice and a drink for pickup and told them I was in their lot. They said it would take 20 minutes! There was a stack of pizzas on the single slice rack and no one else in line! I cancelled and went two minutes next door to a different restaurant.

The pizza is delicious, but Papa Gino’s restaurants just get uglier and uglier every year. They need a makeover/complete renovation ASAP. If they don’t start slapping some lipstick on their restaurants, they will undoubtedly go bankrupt in the long run. It’s time for them to start investing in property, plant & equipment!!!

Cannot even tell you how many pies I ate over the years here! Especially back in high school. They used to be AWESOME. Now, not so much, altho as far as the nearby locations, this one still is ok. I think Papa’s has undergone a lot of changes over the years, and this is not one of the best anymore, at least as far as the last munching(altho Papa’s has closed lots of branches… we have one down in CT which we just had for dinner last night actually!) But as far as this one, they still do a decent pie. Cannot speak for the other menu items. they used to have awesome fries, but that was a a Long time ago. Now they are grease laden and soggy,
