Comcast apparently signed my business up for a 3 year contract. We had to close the business after 13 months and now they want a $ 4500 early termination fee. Comcast was not willing to help in anyway.

I think that relatively speaking that this was a good experience. I say that comparatively to other Comcast locations in places where I have lived; so I am not talking about a high bar to exceed. When we there there to pick up our equipment the service person was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I understand the one star and two star reviews because I have had those experiences in other Comcast service centers but this one was«OK».

I hate Comcast. You call and are on the phone multiple times for close to an hour, if not more, each time you have an issue, which is often. And they seldom resolve your issue. They aren’t proactive and do the absolute minimum. I’ve had problems for the five years I’ve had service. I’d change providers but they’re the only wifi provider for my apt complex. My wifi still doesn’t work right and neither does the TV. They want to charge you for a tech even if the issue isn’t their fault. It’s constant calls and trips to the store. They also switch you from dept to dept and you have to explain the situation from scratch to each person and give your identifying info all over again. And that’s when they don’t hang up on you and not call back. They are great at making you pay even if your service isn’t working, though. Never any credit for that. The only reason they’re in business is because some people have no other alternative. They are absolutely awful and I’d give them 0 stars if I could. They just don’t care. It’s like dealing with robots and they don’t know what they’re doing and are lazy.

If I could rate this at a 0, I would. Comcast is so awful that they are unable to get my internet speeds up to par. After 3 techs coming to my home in 7 months(whom the last tech left my house without even helping at all) my internet is still awful. I even pay for the BLAST package. They do not care about their customers or their customers money or time. My x1 platform only works half the time and the internet is horrible. I wish I had the option to not use Comcast for cable or internet. I am very dissatisfied with the service as well as the customer support.

The previous comment about Comcast Newburyport seems to be more common in other locations. The staff have the equipment but instead of giving to the homeowner, they would rather waste more time and charge for a tech visit. I have had this similar problem where over the phone customer service say it is necessary to visit the local center for the equipment, only to get there and customer service say the equipment is not available. This center must get a bonus for every referral they send to a tech for a home visit.

I called 1−800-COMCAST because of connectivity issues. They told me to go to this location(Newburyport) and exchange my modem for free(as we lease ours from Comcast). The older woman who waited on me at this particular Comcast center was truly no help at all, and told me that they«don’t keep those modems in stock,» and then just stared at me blankly awaiting my response. She offered no further resolution, except(once I mentioned customer support instructed the swap) to schedule a tech appointment for the upcoming Tuesday(which I wanted to avoid, and was why I rushed down there before closing on a Saturday in the first place). When pressed, she said that«the techs are the only ones with those modems.» I then asked, noting that several tech vans were in the lot, if she could just get a tech to swap it out for me. This resulted in another blank stare and yet another request to set up a tech appointment. I cannot recommend this particular location to anyone, as they didn’t resolve anything and the woman who I spoke with was obviously not very caring, understanding or helpful.
