We came with the kids. The service was very hospitable and very kid friendly. The location is very good, walking distance from the state beach and right next to the mountain if you come to ski.

This was a great place we stayed at last week on our trip ! We would stay there again. The owners were very welcoming and always helpful ! It was clean and had a great few of the lake ! Also very close to anything you want in the area like the mount or lake area ! Def would recommend anyone stay at this hidden gem in the mountains !

Classic roadside motel from years back, however, you’re not paying classic($ 65/night) prices for dated furnishings & Fruit Loops in Tupperware continental breakfast. The coffee was good, as well as, the coffee cake, but meager. Every room has a lake view and if you’re lucky you’ll get a queen sized bed versus the two double beds we had to endure. It is convenient to area attractions & reasonably priced compared to other accommodations in the area, but buyer beware.

My cousin says it’s rustic, I say it’s quaint. The difference(as noted in reviews) may be that I was on the top level, she was on the lower level. Our family rented 5 rooms on a Saturday night, and we were not disappointed. How nice to support a small family owned business at a reasonable rate($ 79/night). It’s an old lodge, but the owners provide clean rooms with good beds. I thought the bed was more than comfortable and the linens were soft and appeared relatively new. Because of its age, it’s missing some amenities I always expect, e.g., a plug in the bathroom, a convenient place to plug in electronics(phones, tablets). It did have a mini-fridge, microwave, VCR, and flat screen tv. The small screened in porch with a view of the lake would be nice weather permitting. The morning breakfast had quite a variety, but plan to bring it back to your room as the«lobby» is small. Fresh coffee, bananas, muffins were complimented with cereal too. Because we could do a mini room tour, we think room 6(king sized bed) on the end is followed by room 2(another king) as the two best. Rooms 3 and 5(two doubles), are a bit more rustic, but a great value for the price. We didn’t tour the lower level based upon cousins feedback. And if you come in the winter, check in early and turn on the heat and then head out. It was a brisk 50 in the room upon arrival. It did warm up nicely.

Cindy and Steve are the best! Year number two for our group(we rent out the entire place). Had a wonderful time this year as well, rooms are clean, well kept. It is a motor inn hotel, I rather that… the upstairs room have the feel of a brand new hotel, very roomy, with fantastic view of the the lake as well as a screen porch! The had donuts, breads and cereal for breakfast and coffee! Look forward to returning next year. Cindy and Steve that you for taking such good care of us!

The lake inn at mount sunapee is an awesome place to stay in the newbury nh area. It is a motel style inn with rooms you individually acesss from outside on two levels. We stayed in a queen room with a beautiful view of the lake. The room was clean and comfortable with a desk, couch, microwave, refrigerator cold a/c and fan. It is decorated in a country cottage theme and the queen bed and linens were luxurious and super comfortable. Nice new flat screen tv and each room has a VCR. The main office has a huge library of movies at no charge and they offer coffee and tea each am. The room was clean with no funny musty smells or issues. The bathroom was also spotless and has a hair dryer for conscience. We stayed for the 4th of July weekend fireworks. They are a 5 minute walk to the Sunapee state park beach for a swim or canoe ride a great place to picnic and enjoy the lake and for the winter are right there at the foot of Mnt Sunapee. I would not hesitate to stay here again the view of the lake from the fire pit and my room alone was worth it. Lets hear it for the small family owned inn done right!
