The Quilters’ Studio

We are so fortunate to have this shop in our neighborhood. They offer Bernina sewing machines, gorgeous sewing cabinetry, beautiful high quality fabric, vast machine embroidery threads and designs, and knowledgeable staff. Not only this but they have a large classroom with motivating and stimulating classes and superb teachers.

Very helpful and friendly! The selection of fabrics is beautiful. They have classes too. I would go there again if I lived closer.

You might be able to go to other shops with a bigger selection of fabric but you won’t be able to find another shop with the same level of personal attention. Their classes are GREAT! Their level of knowledge regarding machines is GREAT! Their expertise in quilting, embroidery, fabric arts … WONDERFUL! I will continue to come back to shop over and over again.

I took a beginning quilting class here. My mom quilts and I wanted to learn how, but I didn’t even know how to sew! The staff here was so incredibly helpful and the class was wonderful. They even helped me pick out fabrics, which can be very confusing to a beginning quilter. Eileen is a very patient teacher and does a great job of explaining basic concepts. At the beginning of the class, I was very nervous about my ability to quilt, and I was able to come in a bit early and get extra help, which I really appreciated. By the end of the class I had a beautiful quilt and I had made some blocks that my mom hadn’t even made yet. She was impressed with my results.
Another nice thing about taking a class here was the camaraderie amongst the students. It was so helpful to bounce ideas off of each other, and to see what other people were working on. It was also just a lot of fun to quilt with a group of ladies and chat about tv shows and gossip. Fun!
Having been to other fabric stores in the area, I can honestly say that this store has a great selection of fabric. Not only do they include a wide selection of traditional quilting fabrics, as someone who gravitates toward modern quilts, I love that they have a great selection of modern designs. They also have the largest selection of solid colors that I’ve seen. Long live the Quilters Studio!

Beautiful fabrics and supplies; extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. A terrific place to browse, and when you have questions, they will be glad to help you. In addition, the work on display is inventive and artistic. It’s inspirational just going into this shop.
