Certainly some of the best grapes the valley has to offer. Sad it comes with the attitude. $ 15 for a cheap glass and a mere splash of wine in a warehouse with an owner that appeared disinterested in the guests that came to experience their wines. The Homer was very good. The valley offers lots of wineries worth visiting, this is not one of them. As for having a picnic lunch? Where, the driveway. There is no tasting room just part of a production facility.

I’m giving Shea 4 stars for the outstanding grapes Dick grows. I’m also giving him huge props for the Pre-Memorial and Pre-Thanx weekend tastings. Where else can a plebian lilke me drink half a bottle’s worth of his Homer Pinot for a mere $ 10.

THISISTHEPINACLEOFOREGONPINOTNOIR Mr. Dick Shea produces the finest grapes of the entire Willamette Valley which is evident in when evaluating how many different wineries acquire their grapes for Production. The list of those who source their grapes includes such prominent names as Bergstrom, Beaux Freres, Ken Wright, and Penner-Ash. With the start of his own label, you knew great things were to follow. My husband and I have been fervent fans of Shea for past several years and were ecstatic to hear that he was now going to produce his own. I have only tasted the Estate and Wadenswil Pinot but if those are indicators of how the rest of his wines are, then there isn’t a bad bottle in the lot(which we expected from the onset). Shea certainly delivers and proves he not only grows the best grapes but can produce wine that highlights the characteristics of such a unique terrior.
