Vinny’s is a small pizzeria in the Ironbound neighborhood of Newark that also offers a variety of Latin-typical cuisine. I tried their pernil(pulled pork shoulder) and was impressed at how tender and moist the meat was and most importantly, it was not over seasoned as some places tend to do. The service is great! Friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable.

Ordered delivery. It came in a timely manner, but the food sucked. I had wings and garlic knots, so I can only really comment on that. Garlic knots were chewy, probably hanging around for a bit. The wings, oh the wings. they pretty much gave me grease with some wings on the side. Imagine smaller than average wings with a taste of oil in every bite. I still ate it and that was the worst decision I made that day. My stomach did not appreciate what I did to it.

Food was bland and portions were super small. I would avoid this place if I were you. We ordered chicken malenesa(2 thin slices of chicken see picture and no garnish) it was inedible.

More than just pizza, Vinny’s has Spanish food, I jut ordered a plate of beans, rice and Pernil(Roast Pork) for about $ 7. Now they had added tamales, potato balls, stuffed cabbage and soup all home made. And also the slice is very good, thin crust tasty cheese and sauce, you can fold it without it breaking apart, which is one of the sign of a good slice, all for $ 2. This is a much better and less expensive pizza place when compare to the one in Newark Penn station, just a few blocks away.
