Staff are usually friendly and helpful. Kudos to them because so many customers are infectiously angry and oblivious. Not all, but enough to keep me away. It would help if Home Depot didn’t display so many things in the middle of the aisles and then park their equipment and block what little space is left. Who the heck manages that place? I go to Home Depot because I grew up with it, but Lowes is closer, staff just as competent, but the store is not set up like an obstacle course. In polite societies, you can do that and people simply remain courteous, but this is Newark, Delaware. People get obnoxious. What the heck are you thinking? Why have huge aisles if you’re just going to block them and then park equipment there?

IF I could give ZERO stars I would ! With the exception of the nice ladies at the front desk, this place is the WORST. I stopped over to pick up a few things and good luck finding anyone to help– or finding anyone who CARES !! I finally gave up and walked out. I saw two schlubs hanging around the cart area, one was sitting in a handicapped buggy and the other one was leaning against the carts, when I mentioned that having a skeleton crew causes people to walk out, they really could not have cared less. They snickered at me and gave me a half-​hearted, sarcastic «have a nice day». Whoever the store GM is, he/​she is doing a lousy job. They hire the wrong people, they don’t schedule enough to handle the customers or be there to answer questions. It is disgraceful. I live closer to Lowe’s and went out of my way to go to Home Depot, but never again! The big orange monster has lost my business forever. Good riddance!

This Home Depot has the nicest staff of any hardware store around! I have visited this store at least 20 times in the months since we moved to Newark and have never had a bad experience. My only complaint is that they have a slightly smaller selection of items than the Churchman’s Road location.

I really dont what is going on with that Home Depot. I cannot fimd anything anymore. I just went to buy a dremel rotating tool and they only had one model in stock. I starting looking for help and nobody working at that store. Not the first time I cannot find someone to help. So after not finding the tool I needed I drove to lowes and what do you know… 7 options of dremel and a person to talk to. I know home depot is good but this particular store is terrible.

Terrible costumer service! When we bought a dishwasher there and they gave it to us without parts that we needed! When we called about it and the managers laughed at us. Terrible and rude costumer service!
