Depends what night you go but everytime I do I have a good time. I guess it depends who is the company you keep.

I only had the wings, however they were nice & crunchy. They serve the wings with the sauce on the side which works great for me. This is not a restaurant, but a lounge. The prices are so inexpensive, the wings were only $ 5 for 10; I don’t know any where else that is that inexpensive. I would definitely come back for a snack & light drink.

The only thing is that management did not any to honor the 15% coupon, after much reluctance they eventually gave it to me. Their excuse was they don’t belong to Unilocal,it must be the Boston located, when the site clearly has a Newark address book.

Where do I even start… my brother’s bday was on Friday April 17^th, 2015 we got v.I.p section well 2 v.I.p sections we paid about 700‑1000 for bottles plus drinks from bar… for them to then add random strangers into our v.I.p section which we complained and they moved us to another section in the front which I don’t think was right because we had an awesome view of the lounge right by DJ. I don’t get why the manager didn’t move the other people especially when we reserved that whole section weeks prior… then we didn’t even get our hookah til like 1a. m and we had to keep reminding them to bring it… plus they told us a nice dress clothes people were coming in street clothes like really… plus of course I’ll never party again in Newark everything was okay until the end some random people from the club came up to the people I was with and just started fighting… great ending to our night… and not to mention the bathroom ladies if you wear heels lol be prepared u have to walk up n down stairs and the bathroom was disgusting no rolls in the bathrooms and 3 sinks only one worked and only cold water… smh all I have to say is be prepared when you go there… me and my friends will never go back there again… just a bad experience over all smh… Thanks Rio Lounge for nothing hope you guys enjoyed our money… oh only one good thing the music was good and DJ enough was there…

I didn’t like the set up especially that annoying strobe and laser lights. And always check ahead, the last thing you want to be the only person wearing red while everyone wears white, way to inconspicuous. Best way to twart that off is to get on the dance floor. Once you show your moves, you will find someone that wants to dance with you. It’s that tight on the dance floor.

Small lounge. Good music. My friends and I stumbled upon this place spontaneously on a Friday night when they were playing a mix between Spanish & hip hop music all night. The actual lounge is small so it gets packed quick. They have coat check and they have a small parking lot which is convenient. My friends and I came in a limo so we had to park in the front and the security guys were nice enough to make sure to keep and eye and let us know if it was going to be a problem for being parked in the front since there was no other places to park. They have a few Tables for bottle service, dress code is casual. (apparently very casual and I didn’t get the memo. You can basically wear jeans and a TShirt.) Their hookah is really good and They have their bathrooms downstairs so be careful walking down. It’s definitely a chill place but looks like it can get pretty crazy since for some reason there was a cop coming in to check that nothing was going on. Guess you can expect that since this is in newark. I would probably come back if in the area just to have some drinks and hookah.

Great service and the wings and salmon was great also, even though it took a little time to come. Their drink are pretty good, they put enough alcohol in the mix. Cant beat $ 1 sangrias for happy hour 5 – 8 with the DJ playing in the background. Thanks for great service again from our bartender «Safi» i think her name was.

Was just there last Saturday! Music was incredible. Tech house was insane. Miss Jennifer did a set. Amazing! The opening djs were unbelievable. Its a nice small spot. Kinda reminded me of a lil city spot. House Saturdays are ON POINT.

$ 20 cover for guys on a Friday night? Seriously? You know you’re on Market Street… in Newark, right?! Pretty bad. The scene was definitely not worth it, went and had a decent meal instead. Rediculous pricing if you ask me.

Came here on a Thursday night with a few friends. Overall I had a great time, it’s a decent looking small crowd. The drinks were reasonably priced and the staff was attentive. The dj was mixing it up pretty well too and had people on the dance floor. I would check this place out another time. Sorry never tried the food.

I went a few months back on a Monday night. It was pretty cool. A nice little crowd. The DJ played hip hop and r&b. Its really cute inside here. The drinks were pretty tasty as well.
