So lucky to have a Burmese goods store in this area! Tea leaf salad mix is popular and they have it in regular and spicy. They even have instructions at the cashier if you’re unsure of how to make it. They even have tea mixes and kits for mohinga(fish stew). The thing with these packaged foods is that they taste authentic and fresh, unlike packaged American foods. If you come here not knowing what you want to get, it might be a bit difficult to navigate. So do some research!

Now I don’t have to always go to restaurants for Tea Leaf Salad. I can make my own! The ingredients are inexpensive and the lady who was working was nice and helpful. Cash Only… I wish they still sold the homemade balachaung…

Get your tea leaf salad here! If you’re tired of paying $$$$ for your tea leaf salads at pricey restaurants, come here and get a large bag for $ 6! They even have instructions on how to make tea leaf salad. The shop is TINY. everything is in Burmese but you can just ask the employees for help. I asked the girl who was working where the tea leaf salad mix was and she pointed it out to me. She sort of had an attitude the time I was there… Which is why I’m giving this place 3 stars. It’s located right by 24 and the phone number doesn’t work. It led me directly to voicemail.

My search for pickled tea leaves has ended thanks to this shop! I’ve literally been looking for a shop that sells ingredients for laphet for 2 years now. If you’re craving authentic laphet thoke and don’t want to pay a ridiculous amount for watered down versions at restaurants, then head to myanmar pyi thar and stock up on laphet packets. The small packages are sold for $ 1.50 and the large ones are $ 6. Pretty affordable if you ask me. I’m giving them 5 stars for being my only supplier of pickled tea leaves and for great customer service. I came here for the first time on Christmas eve and got lost because I wrote down the wrong address. I called the store and a lady gave us the directions there. When we finally got to the shop, I received a phone call from the same lady(probably the shop owner) asking me where I was. It turned out that she had already locked up the shop, but stayed an extra few minutes to wait for me and gave me a call to see where I was at. I’m super grateful that she waited for me on Christmas eve and didn’t just lock the store and go home. tips: it’s cash only so BRINGCASH.

Next to 24 Hour Fitness. You can get lots of Burmese snacks, decorations and clothes from here. Really small store, half just stores junk. They say they sell smoothies, ice cream and things like that but the ice cream display was empty, the juice machines were not in use, and I don’t even know what half of the things are since they are all in Burmese…

This is where I go to pick up ingredients to make the Burmese tea leaf salad. There are two kinds, spicy and not spicy. They even sell a side of the fried garlic and nut mix as additional garnish to your salad! The package already comes with it, but sometimes you just want even more!
