Fogo Grill

Ok so I’m not really the writing reviews on restaurants kind of guy but this needs to be acknowledged. I didn’t prepare in any way possible for this storm by choice. I had to order food and nobody was delivering except the usual crap like Chinese and dominos which I wouldn’t want even if it wasn’t snowing. Well 45 minutes later I call and they say that the driver got stuck and should be here shortly. 5 minutes later I get a call from the driver saying that they are almost here and are walking to my house. To my surprise I see a male and female carrying my food above their heads through the snow and up my stairs which hasn’t been shoveled I might add. With smiles on their faces and very humble attitudes they climb up the stairs and hand me my food still HOT. It’s a beautiful thing to see that dedication and hard work. They could have simply called and canceled or said no. On top of everything the food was fantastic.
Now onto the food. We ordered the chicken and rib combo, Portuguese steak, beef ribs and hot wings. The wings were nicely done. Fresh chicken pieces with a homemade buffalo sauce with bay leaf. Not overly sauced or spicy, just right. The chicken was not dry and perfectly cooked. The pork ribs were a bit too charred for my taste but still well done. For those that liked their meat a little more well it was perfect. The rice was great and the fries were shoestring cut and very tasty. The Portuguese steak was prepared in a brown garlic sauce topped with ham and a fried egg. The steak was seasoned very well and the sauce was delicious especially mixed together with the rice like a garlicky gravy. Also served with Spanish style potatoes. But above all was the beef ribs. They were outstanding and juicy. Superbly seasoned and just the right amount of char. This alone was worth it. Everything was served with fries and yellow rice. Black beans served separate and were delicious. Also ordered maduros (fried sweet plantains) on the side which were perfectly cooked. First time impressions are everything and they earned my business.

This place has amazing food. Especially their grilled chicken, breaded chicken, and garlic chicken. The only bad this about this place is their parboiled rice. I always leave it to the side. But the main portion of the meal is the meat and is worth every penny. Its steaks can use some more seasoning but cooked well.

Good food, good variety and the prices aren’t bad, delivery service is excellent and food always arrives hot and ready to eat.

I ordered food from here on Saturday night ⁵⁄₃₀ and had a friend pick it up around 7pm. This was my first time ordering food from this restaurant but I was encouraged to do so after reading the reviews on Unilocal.My order was for a large seafood paella and large bbq pork ribs.
When the food arrived it was very nicely package however as I opened the brown paper bag and pulled out the containers there was a long black hair wrapped around the individual condiments they provided such as bbq, hot sauce and a homemade sauce. The hair was locked in-​between a bbq sauce container and the rest was wrapped up around the other small containers. Someone who works there has long black hair! Instantly I was hesitant on trying the food but I opened both containers and inspected them both properly. The food looked very appetizing and seemed to be okay but I just kept thinking about the long black hair that I first encountered.
I asked my fried who picked up the food what he thought about the restaurant and he said that «it wasn’t the best». That was base on his opinion because I have never seen the establishment myself. I then explained about the hair which leaded to him telling me that most of the food was pre made and kept in trays on the side (maybe this is how they operate on Saturday?). We thought about ordering something else to eat but decided to try the food since it seemed to be okay. The long black hair was only mixed in one of the bbq containers and around the others… we threw all of those out!
The food looked very nice and actually tasted very good. However, I did not enjoy my meal because I kept thinking about the hair. If I did not find the hair would I order from this restaurant again? Yes, the food was good! Since I did find that long black hair will I ever order from this restaurant again? No, never! Kinda disappointing because they have a nice menu but I just can’t get over the first experience.
Just to mention I did not contact the restaurant about this issue. Sorry Fogo! I’m only giving you 3 starts. This could have been a one time mistake but I’m not interested in chancing it again. Since the food was delicious I will be fair with 3.

This is place is pretty good. Their delivery service is always on time and food is hot. It’s pretty much your typical Churrasqueria food. I like that the chicken and ribs aren’t overbearingly Salty. The fries were always crispy the last few times we ordered delivery which isn’t easy to do. They almost always get soggy in the trays. I didn’t care for the salmon though, it was a square piece of salmon in a butter sauce and that’s it, no seasoning, and their beans can use some help, maybe some garlic and some cilantro.

The food taste really good and was affordable. I had the garlic shrimp delivered to my hotel it was quick. I also like the portion size too.

Their kitchen is super clean. Their staff is polite and super helpful. The food is well cooked without going overboard on the flavoring. The shrimp skewers are simple but not over cooked and have a balance of garlic, lemon and spice. Black beans are perfect. Walked in based on the previous Unilocal recommendation and I am so glad I did.

I popped into this place by chance today while I was waiting for my bus and ordered some steak after getting a recommendation from the staff. It is a smaller restaurant so it may get packed at busier times but they also deliver and offer takeout. The food was delicious and the portions were quite large. I will likely be back here or ordering delivery from here in the near future.
