Good service. Great food. We tried the indo Chinese here and it was great. The person also greets you very nicely when you enter. I will totally go back.

WHY is this place closed? I would have written 20 more Unilocal reviews for this place to keep it open!

This is no way close to good indian chaat. Plus the service is pathetic. The sitting arrangement is so awkward.

This is a review straight from the stomach of a true bambaiyya(person from Bombay!) The paneer tikka comes on a sizzler plate and is to die for! yumm it comes complete with chaat masala sprinkled on it and the green chutney. The ragda pattice is not exactly Bombay roadside style but it’s crazy GOOD! Mint Lassi is a must try. Vada pav is awesome! though it can do with a little more garlic for going that extra inch closer to the Bombay taste. This too comes complete with fried green chillies and dry red chutney on the pav. Whatever you do, don’t miss their Indo-Chinese — this is as authentic as it can get!

I’m a carnivore to the truest sense of the word. I saw Food, Inc… it made me want to be vegetarian. 30 seconds later, I snapped out of it. The rest of my family is vegetarian and they swore by Café Tazza. «this dish is good, that dish is good.» I was letting their advice go through one ear and come out the other. I didn’t think a place that has a great vegetarian selection could cater to meat eaters like myself. I WASWRONG!!! Café Tazza’s tandoori mixed platter is SOOOOBOOOOMB. It comes with lamb kabobs, chicken tikka, and a whitish chicken i’ve never had before called Malai Tikka. With Pakwan and Shalimar in Fremont, competition is thick for good bbq, but Café Tazza does NOT disappoint. The meat is flavorful and hella tender. My parents got dosas, palak paneeer and chole. Those were good too, but I mostly stuck to my mixed tandoori platter. I actually liked the rotis better than the naans. PS, the buffet looked kinda crappy. I’d come here again!

I FOUND A HAIRINMYFOOD!!! Scarier part is it was a short hair and I could have easily ingested it. GROSS!!! I had a couple bites then ladled the curry with my spoon to check the consistency of the curry, and there it was. I wanted to vomit. Before finding the hair, I thought to myself someone was a little heavy handed with the cream and it was OK tasting, not the best by far. But now I think this place is disgusting. I waited 25 minutes(literally) to get my order. What a waste! To this place’s credit, they were very apologetic and offered solutions to rectify this situation by comping my next meal, but why on earth would I want to come back here? YUCK!!!

So we’ve been back for the buffet and that was really good. I had the veggie buffet and my husband had the meat buffet. He thought the veggie was better. The buffet comes with a naan basket and dosa. I recommend it. Last time we went there for a sit dinner. My husband found that they had a lot of curry sauce and not enough meat. I hope that has been fixed. I hate when people skimp like that. We are not stupid and we’ll Unilocal it. I have a hard time going here cuz one upon a time ago, it was Jebz. One of the best places to eat. Alas, with the economic downturn they didn’t last. Another note, it’s much better choice than sp*** H**.

I REALLYREALLY want to like this place. Infact, i want to like it so much that me and the hubby ventured here 3 times before i could write this review. The place has a huge selection of every type of indian cuisine from south indian to the north to even the sought after indo-chinese. However, I dunno why i can’t put my finger with whats wrong here… Well…i think i got it… why don’t they try and master one type of the sub-continent’s cuisine… rather then just serve everything india has to offer? None of the dishes i had(i tried the dosa the first time, the indo-chinese chicken manchurian next time and punjabi dishes the third time) makes me want to come back again. There is nothing exceptional here except the huge variety. this is definitely one of those places u would say is jack of all trades… but master of none :-(

Is there a better Indian food joint in bay area? Nah… Impossible… What Indian cuisines do they serve? Ans: What they dont? Café Tazza is the only restaurant I know in entire bay area which serves such a wide variety of cuisines and items in their menu and without mention a great taste in whatever they serve. Kudos to the chefs of the restaurant. I hope they are able to maintain this amazing quality in long term especially on such a long list of menu(inventory cost would be quite high). Guys and Gals! This is the best Indian restaurant in bay area. Go there if you want to try something Tandoori, South Indian, North Indian, Chaat, Indo-Chinese. Their shakes are awesome too. Icing on the cake: Amazing prices! You would not even feel a pinch in your pocket !! Am I overboard on my assessment? Not at all. I am writing after being at least 20 times to this restaurant.

For my last meal on earth, just kidding, my last meal as a human being residing in the United States, I chose to get takeout from Café Tazza. I can’t think of another place more deserving of 5 stars– everyone working here makes me want to be their friend, and not only because I am a loser with no friends. It’s because they are just that awesome. Don’t be shy about their menu– there are tons of awesome and exotic sounding fusion-esque dishes like Indo-Chinese«Hakka noodles» which are really really amazing and make me marvel that an Indian restaurant can produce such exquisite East-Asian flavors. Everything your server recommends you will love… because I’ve tried all of it. I shit you not. I am a certified lard-ass. I’ve been to loads of Indian joints all over the bay area(peninsula included) and I believe this is the best. Not that I claim to be the world’s foremost authority on Indian cuisine(.or do I?) — the review process pretty much goes: 1. eat food 2. look down at belly 3. belly gives me a cheeky grin and a thumbs up 4. write 5-star review Now get on over here and give them more business! And try the lipata gosht taka-tak goddammit! *edit: laughing at the reviewer who gave them one star for their«moldy packaged bread.» who goes to a restaurant with rave reviews about their fresh, hot food and proceeds to buy a loaf of imported bread to determine its worthiness? lol. Man. you are missing out.

Just back from having lunch at this place. Went with my boss for lunch. It has great ambience, very nice place. I am vegan, so I just had vegetarian stuff. My boss and my colleague had some chicken and shrimp items! We had butter/garlic naan(bread) which was surprisingly soft! I had palak paneer with it which also was pretty good. Others had Chicken tikka masala and Shrimp Biryani. From what they said it was pretty good too. We had some Indian chaats panipuri n Sev puri. Panipuri was alright but sev puri was very good. We tried Dahi Vada, I should say it was exquisite and refreshingly original. We all just loved Dahi Vada and ordered some more of it. Overall should say great service(Jay-the manager), awesome food and we left full and satisfied! Will be going back soon! :)

My friend and I came here to enjoy some good food as I know Taaza has some good snacks But we were a little dissapointed. First of all, on a hot summer day, you can’t give coke with NO ice!!! Second the food was only OK. We ordered two chicken dishes, and I can’t remember the names… I guess I had high expectations of this place. May be I’ll try once more and see how it goes.

I really liked the atmosphere at this place. The guy helping us was really friendly. I had the shahi paneer, it was incredibly good and decadent! The baingan bharta was really good to, not to oily, a huge plus! I also had the manchurian idly, which was a bit to tangy/tart for me. All in all a really good experience, can’t wait to go back!

Heard of Café Tazza from friends and decided to check it out with the parents. For a Saturday evening, there were a good amount of people there. We were greeted by a guy that seem friendly. The place has a nice atmosphere. We order couple of dishes. We ordered veggie manchurian, to me it seemed a bit on the salty side. My mom ordered the mysore masala dosa and my dad and I ordered chicken tikka masala. The one thing I liked about this place was the option of having roti or naan. The roti was great and filling. The food overall was great and do recommend this place to others. I will be heading back to try out other dishes.

After reading the previous reviews about the Chicken Tikka Masala … I was on a mission to try this place. My husband and I decided to stop by and order to go. When we were trying to decide, the employee at the register recommended the Malai Chicken Tikka. We weren’t sure so we stuck to what we knew — Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Naan. The chef was kind enough to give us a sample of the Malai Chicken Tikka with our order. It was delicious! It will definitely be part of our next order. The Chicken Tikka Masala was so good! I’m really glad I stumbled upon this restaurant on Unilocal and gave it a try. They have good food and good service. We’ll be back for sure!

I came here a few weeks back with my parents. It was quite empty being as they had just opened. We got a wide variety of things– bhel, dosa, manchurian, a paneer tikka wrap. I love the paneer tikka wrap. It was so big that I would only have one half. The other half I took home for lunch the next day! The manchurian was reallly good too. I normally find it extremely salty(I think that’s just how it’s made) but this one wasn’t that salty. The bhel and the dosa were really tasty as well. Most times Indian restaurants are only able to make one cuisine, whether it chaat or South Indian really well. I felt like Tazza Café was able to make all different cuisines. I hope they keep it up! I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the Indian Chinese and some North Indian!

This is a 4.5 rating rounded up. Keep in mind that this is a café and not a fine dining joint. I like the bright colors and the layout. I was amazed at the variety of food that was available! They have North Indian, South Indian, Chaat(Indian Street food), juices, pastries and Indian Sweets. They apparently have a different chef for each type of cuisine. They are also trying to get a bar license, though I am not sure how that would fit in to the current layout. The food itself was very good. The chicken tikka masala is among the best I have had. I order some chaat which was very good. It was not what I thought I had ordered but was so good, I had no complaints. This is just their 4th week and I really hope they are able to maintain the quality of service and food.

Tried Café Tazza last night just as they were about to close. The fairly newly opened Indian restaurant offers a wide variety of food. The menu consists of food from all over India. I tried the Chicken Karahi, Reshmi Kabab, Daal Makhni, Chicken biryani. The Chicken Karachi had alot of onions and was very different from a traditional karachi(found at Pakwaan, Shalimar etc…). The Reshmi Kabab was moist, soft and good The Daal Makni was different The Chicken biryani was again not a traditional biryani found at(Shalimar, Pakwaan etc…). The tea wasnt that great(a bit pricey for $ 1.65). Again I’m comparing to Shalimar and Pakwaan that offer free tea. The servers were nice and I’d go back to try some other dishes out.

Conveniently next door to my son’s Challenger Pre-school. One can easily pass by without noticing since the Strip mall is not full with businesses yet. I ordered the Chili-Chicken wrap to go. It was really huge, bigger than Chaat Café’s for instance. It was pretty good. I will definitely try other things on the menu as I frequent the area because of my son’s school. Clean place, outdoor seating convenient. Friendly staff.

Just got back to work from having lunch there. Man, the chicken curry there was bursting with flavor. After my first couple of bites I sent my wife a text of how good this place is. This was my first time here but definitely won’t be my last. The garlic naan was off the hook too! This is pretty much a café as the name states. You go up to the counter, place your order, pay and then find a seat. Also, for being a café, they have SO many items on the menu. So if you like Indian food in general, they’ll definitely have a dish you’re familiar with. Good stuff!!!
