It’s sort of Korean/Chinese Asian fusion food. Grilled chicken is good with kimchi. They have Udon noodle soup(Japanese). Decent food that need coaxing with sriracha. It’s mall food for crying out loud.

We love eating here. It’s not too crowded and their servings are pretty generous. Their vermicelli noodles are yummy. Try the beef bowl #5. Delish!

FINALLYMYFIRST4STARPLACE anyway I went here yesterday after unexpectedly saw my friend here, while I was waiting for my other friend to finish her dentist, So I order chicken, noodle, and rice and I made a mistake(should have gotten teriyaki sauce) please get the sauce people your chicken will taste better trust me, because I forgot about it my food didn’t take too good and the noodle it either missing a flavor or it been there too long, the rice was okay. Overall good place, very clean, because my friend order spicy food again… he refill it over 5TIME! wow I can’t believe I go to this Newpark Mall all the time and I haven’t been to this korean restuarant and I’m Korean LOL wow how sad is that.

I heart Sorabol. In my younger years, and when I use to work at the Newpark Mall, this was the only place I ever ate. Even after I stopped working here, I would stop in and grab a bite to eat with my Mom :) Their food here is just great! When I used to eat chicken, it was so good here! Chicken and glass Noddles w/vegetables and a side of kimchi. Or spicy pork with rice w/vegetables. Or miso Soup. But to be honest, everything is good here. Oh! And there service is good too…

I go there whenever I’m on my lunch break whenever I’m working. I love BBQ short ribs so I always get that. The short ribs are delish with the steam rice. Don’t care much for the vermicilli. :)

A fast-food restaurant located next to Exit 3 of this ghetto mall. Their menu is simple and straight-forward with big pictures so you know what the heck you’re ordering. They have short ribs, spicy pork, and grilled beef and chicken in a bento box with white rice and korean style vermicelli. They also have ramen and other noodle entrees here. In the corner, I also spotted a sushi chef but i don’t know what good their sushi would be. The portion they give you are really generous. However the quality of the food is not so good. My vermicelli was bland and my short ribs were too hard. The spicy pork was pretty good, but i don’t think any place could go wrong with that. Their prices are fair, $ 7 for spicy pork and $ 9 for short ribs. The workers were really nice and friendly. They also have a big plasma TV on the wall. I would recommend this place if you need a quick bite while shopping at this ghetto mall, however, def shouldn’t come here JUST to go to this restaurant.

I was so excited when Sorabol Korean BBQ was about to open and I really really wanted to like this place. After all, wouldn’t it be nice to have a decent Asian restaurant to eat at in the mall for a change? Well, I was quite disappointed when I finally tried it out. Perhaps my expectation was too high. The food was very bland. The reason why I enjoy Korean food and what makes Korean food stand out is the rich and spicy taste which is obviously missing here. The price is decent and the staff is friendly. I just wish the food could be better.

I always go here when I’m hungry while shopping at Newpark Mall(which I generally try not go to to though, lol). They have soon du bu for like 8 bucks! I think it’s a great deal and my kid loves the terriyaki chicken and jap chae. It’s a deal!

It’s great to see a korean restaurant in the NewPark Mall, but the food is soooo blah! It’s in a great location because a lot of customers park their cars in the covered garage. The food is not all that great because there’s not that much flavor and the spiciness in them. Also, if you request for more kimchi, I think you will have to pay about $ 2.00. Now that hella sucks to me! Anywho, the staff are not that friendly either, always in a rush when there isn’t a line full of customers behind me. Well, that’s why I gave them 2 stars! I’m very PICKY when it comes to korean food! =)

I think this is due to having the greatest Sorabol in the world in Stockton, cuz this is a serious let down. They don’t have teriyaki chicken, but BBQ chicken. There is sauce, but they skimp on it real hard. The customer service could be better. Seems like they are in a hurry when there wasn’t even a line. Pretty rude. The food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t really good either.

Definitely one of the better places to eat at the Newpark Mall. For the price you pay which is about $ 7.00 with rice, vegetables and chicken it is totally worth it. The ladies that work there are also super nice. And there is also a comfortable place to sit and watch TV while you eat. I have been eating here for awhile and it is better than a hamburger. If you are not a big eater I would get it in a to go box because every time that I have bought food here I had to take it home in a box. So if you feel like eating Korean barbecue that is reasonably priced and not bad. Try this place.

This place is pretty legit for being a fast fod type place in mall food courts. I usually get the brown clear noodles. It’s a whole box of it for less than $ 4. there’s no meat unless you request it, but hey it’s still really tasty! oh man… i’m cravng it right now. too bad there isn’t one anywhere near me. i would definitely pick a more authentic korean restaurant over this place any day, but if i’m just looking for something quick to fill my korean fix, then i would go here.

This place is located at New Park Mall, on the bottom floor, away from the rest of the food court. The food tastes great, and the price is right. You get a lot of food for only 7 dollars. It may not seem like much at first, but it definitely does fill you up. Take it from a guy with 4 stomachs. I recommend the BBQ pork with rice and chow mein, or the spicy chicken, with the aforementioned sides. If you’re a fan of asian food, or just want to try something new and delicious, check this place out. As for the people behind the counter, they’re great too. They seem to love what they do, and always smile at me as I walk through the entrance. Both I and many other customers are met with enthusiasm. That’s what keeps me coming back, along with the food of course!

Walked past it today and remembered I ate there once. It should be placed upstairs joining the rest of the fast food counter at the food court. That way it might have a better chance than placing here with more than enough seating and not enough customers. I am not going to comment about the food because it didn’t get register with my taste buds and my memory…

My friend thinks this place is Woohoo! As good as it gets!, while I am «Yay! I’m a fan. I took a star way because they would not give us a little extra kimchi, but charged us $ 2.00 for a small bowl. We were hoping they would hook us up, because we there the only customers in the place at 8pm. For the price of a Chicken Rice or Vermicelli bowl $ 6.49, its a deal. A lot of chicken and filler. It will fill your tummy well, and if your only moderately hungry you might have leftovers too. A good«healthy» meal for a mom and child to share during a day of shopping at the mall. Instead of getting a corn dog or burger. They also offer the Korean Short Rib Plate for $ 10.00, the make that fresh to order. Well, the past two times that I ordered it they made it fresh. So you will have to wait for that dish. This place also offers sushi, but I didn’t try it. I would rather go to a place that I know the stuff moves often.

Located on the far side of the New Park Mall, this mom and pop Sorabol reminds me of what food court stalls used to be like. There is a lonely feel to this Sorabol that I can’t explain. Perhaps it’s the drab décor, the fact the New Park Mall feels only half alive with many stores now shut down, or perhaps because the entrance is right next to the parking structure and dumpster. I’ve like Sorabol for as long as I can remember. It has always provided solid Korean fast food, when I’m craving some chapchae or kalbi. I don’t expect super-good Korean because Sorabol is really nothing more than a fast-food chain but this location was decent. I went for some take out around dinner time one night and the older Asian man and woman working there provided friendly, fast and efficient service. I especially love the big tray of African violets labeled«Do not touch me» on the right side of the counter. That’s something my mom would do. I ordered the bulgogi, chapchae and fried rice with a side of veggies. Nothing special about it but the generous portion hit the spot. On the whole, an average Korean food experience but the African violets made me smile.

After being in the New Park Mall for such a long time and moving all around to different locations, I’ve been a fan. No matter what others say, I would say that this place has great food. It is at a great price and it gives you a reasonable amount of food. Is a good place to get lunch to eat there or to take out. The specials are great if you haven’t gone there to try it. It seems to be a better deal than the other meals on the menu usually. The kimchi there is good too. So I would say this place is better than expected and the new location, in front of the parking lot in the main entrance, is good if you just came to get that.

Being Korean I know when i taste good Korean food. Sorabol offers relatively good Korean food at a moderate price. I’ve tasted just about everything on the menu as I do get homesick from time to time and I find it strange how people come in and get the chow mein noodles or the fried rice. Go to a Chinese restaurant for that! The best items to get there are any of the stews, the soups, and the spicy pork. The Korean bbq is equivalent to that of a decent Korean restaurant, but kalbi is not something you want to eat when its been sitting out longer than 30 minutes anyways. The only thing negative I can say about the place is the sushi. Not that it’s poorly made, but the fact that people actually go in there expecting it. Any one that knows anything about sushi knows that if you don’t order it freshly made, it’s not going to taste right. All in all, great place for lunch and whenever I get homesick and don’t want to sit and wait at the other Korean restaurants.

Not sure why this place got low ratings. Husband & I went here today for lunch — we both had the daily special(Spicy beef with rice and noodles(I had the vermicelli and my husband got the chow mein style) It was really tasty. We got a side of kimchee($ 1.85 for a nice sized amount for us to share) They have a nice sized menu as well as a sushi bar to the right of the restaurant. Good sized dining room, quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Nice big flat screen tv to watch. Nice place to sit down to have a lunch after a long shopping day. Friendly staff & quick service.

Typical mall food and pricing. I never noticed it when they were at Food Court, I thought it was new to the mall. Happy to see Korean food, I made my way down to lower level but only to discover a small, unpopular restaurant. The menu isn’t particularly appealing. I don’t think it’s authentic Korean BBQ either. I got the BBQ Chicken plate which has steam rice, BBQ Chicken and some noodles. Total add up to $ 7.00. On a positive note, the service is pretty quick and friendly. Nothing special. For me, I would rather avoid mall food at all cost. Just imagine what $ 7 would have gotten me at nearby Lion’ plaza.
