Tacos ordered: 1) bistek/steak 2) pollo/chicken 3) al pastor– seasoned pork… with PINEAPPLES!!! Enough said. This spot is half bakery and half taqueria; and you know it’s an authentic Mexican spot when they spell lunch as «Lonch» on the storefront window sign. Expectations were pretty low when I walked in there on a cold January Sunday afternoon, especially since it’s just a hole-in-the-wall. However, I was blown away with the quality in each of the tacos. You can feel the love that went into the creation of these pieces of art. Don’t forget to squeeze your limes real good and add that orange-y hot sauce for even more flavor. They go down really well with an ice-cold Pepsi, in my humble opinion. The variety of breads they have on sale will give you anxiety when it comes down to deciding which ones you’ll take as a dessert. The smell of the delicious bread actually travels throughout all of Union Ave. The final verdict: 4⁄5 stars for being extremely close to the real Mexican thing.
