Full Disclosure: This is my brother’s salon
For years this used to be just a barbershop until a few years ago when my brother expanded it to cater to women as well. Since this is a salon with old school character, everyone pretty much knows each other or they’re familiar with other patrons, so you’re going to hear jokes, debates and music. If you come here multiple times then it’s pretty much guaranteed that whoever is doing your hair will also become your confidante as well. This place is full of conversation, so maybe it’s hard for people to stay without saying a word.
So they do women’s and men’s hair (curly or straight), my brother is also a masseuse, and he’s one of the few people I’ve ever seen use a straight razor on people – truly old school. There’s also plenty of food options around if you have to wait since New Roc City is right around the corner. On a Saturday afternoon you’ll always see people making big food orders for delivery, so you can wait while eating, watching tv, or joining in some group conversation that’s going on.
