Great burgers! Meh… on the fries. Solid service and they always have a friendly staff working here.

Usually good, better than others smash burgers in the area. We are good for one trip per week.

Smashburger brings to New Providence the pseudo-​artisanal burger concept shared by Five Guys, Shake Shack, In-​And-​Out, etc. I found my experience at Smashburger to be quite positive with friendly employees, a clean dining area, expedient service, and quality food. The burger was well portioned and tasty, and the buffalo fries delivered the sort of spicy kick that I crave.

What sloppy fart burger this place serves is beyond belief they would still be in business!!!

After years of Five Guys we decided it was time to try Smashburger. The service is quick, and the employees friendly. The fries with the catchy «Smashfries» name are truly nothing special, just frozen shoestring variety; they were not very crispy, not a thick cut, and certainly not different than what I can make at home from a package. The burgers were good but again nothing out of the ordinary. The worst part of our visit was the cleanliness. There was food and napkins, etc on the floor under our table and actual french fries sitting in the lighting over our table, and it looked like they’d been there a while. One table needed busing was filthy with a cleaning rag on it the entire time we were there. We are hoping it was just an off night and will give it another try at some point but I can’t convince my kids to go back for now, they also liked Five Guys better. Smashburger has potential because their atmosphere is nicer than 5G. WiFi was so bad we turned it off-​It couldn’t even load their own Smashburger web page LOL. Worth a mention, if you are gluten free, they offer Udi’s gluten free buns at Smashburger but the fries are cooked in a shared fryer, while at 5G they have gluten free fries but no buns, so…

I can’t believe how consistently friendly the service is here. And I often have a special request, which I’ll mention in a moment, yet they are sharp and always know how to process and note it on my order. The tables are very often bussed promptly and the burgers are of a much higher quality than most anywhere else. I think they only use Angus beef. Now for my special request which I would recommend to everyone: the burgers are prepared incredibly salty which is a shame since they are of a high quality of meat. The French fries too. Be sure to order the burger without the «seasoning.» Also order the French fries with no salt. Perfect every time.

Solid fast food that’s a step out two above McDonald’s and Wendy’s. Beware the seasoned fries, fired pickles and fried onions as they are all extremely salty.

I don’t eat at these types of places often, but when I do, it’s nice to see that there are good people working them. A very nice young gentleman by the name of Anthony helped us out today on what is a crazy day since school is on a half day schedule this week.
I found the restaurant to be clean and efficient and very helpful. Will definitely keep it in mind for a quick meal in the future.

Tasty, fresh, and unlike any other burger.
The place is spotlessly clean, the staff is focused on customer satisfaction and I always get value for my dollar.
Not sure what else I can add… other than I’m going there for dinner tonight!

I love going there. The food is always so fresh and the employees are rather nice. I loved the smash chicken and avocado crispy chicken sandwich. My friend hooked me up with some coupons so my husband and I have been going there for lunch for the past few weeks. I also enjoy their oreo milkshakes. Their classic smash burger and sweet potato fries are to die for as well. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Enjoy!

The NJ Burger was excellent, I highly recommend it. However, the Buffalo Fries were extremely salty to the point that they were nearly inedible.

I love this place, freshly made burgers ! No frozen meat ! A little pricey but definitely worth it. I recommend the original Burger with a side of avocado & bbq sauce. I almost failed to mention the delicious fries Must try !

I’ve seen some reviews that say this location is hit or miss. That’s fair. The burger is never bad, but some days are better than others.
The buffalo fries here aren’t great. They’re surprisingly salty. The smash fries are always good, though.
Never took a burger home, but the bun would probably be kind if greasy/​soggy if I did, so I’d suggest eating there.

My first burger came out raw and it looked like it was dipped in a grease bucket. The replacement was very greasy and didn’t have any cheese, but not raw. When I got my replacement, the guy at the table next to me showed the server that his burger was the same.
The manager was not happy with me for complaining and wouldn’t show his face. The waiter told me he would have him come out to see me out but he never showed.
Definitely not going back there!

Returned for another dinner, and sadly my last visit here. Owner take note… the place is filthy. Sit for a few minutes while waiting for your takeout… look around. This is what a manager does

Defiantly impressed! Didn’t expect much but man I was surprised. My BBQ bacon cheeseburger was delicious, I also ordered the smash fries. We brought the kids and they ordered chicken fingers. My husband got a bacon cheese burger. The place is very clean and the service is fast. Great quality fresh food

I remember how excited we were when this place opened a few years ago. The food was delicious, especially the hot dogs. Fast Forward to tonight and things have changed. First off, they got rid of the hot dogs. WHYYYYYY??? Second, the minute we walked I said to my brother, why does it smell like that in here? It seriously smelled like a dirty locker room. We stood at the register waiting for someone to take our order. There were 2 people making milkshakes directly behind the counter and then this guy finally came over to take our order. I felt bad for him since it seemed like he was doing everything, taking the orders, handing out the orders, bringing the food to tables. The food itself was soaked in grease after only a 5 min drive home. As we were leaving another costumer was starting to yell, presumably about all the stuff I just mentioned. oh well, never going back.

Give me my mushroom truffle burger and onion strings please. I will never go to Five Guys AGAIN! I mean that shit.
My only gripe is the cost. It can be a little cheaper but the quality is worth having this as a treat from time to time.

From what I’ve heard about this particular location, it’s kind of hit-​or-​miss. The Man and I were lucky that things were going well the night we went in for dinner.
This location is in a building in the middle of a parking lot — kind of weird, and makes parking kind of a pain in the butt at times. We happened to go on a night that an event was going on in town but not so many people were parking in that lot.
I ordered the New Jersey, and The Man got another burger that I can’t remember the name of. We also got an order of Smash fries to share. We’d tried these items before during a Unilocal event, so we had high hopes. We fortunately were not disappointed. It might have been because the restaurant was not busy at all. We put our orders in at the counter and took a seat at a nearby table. It took a few minutes for our food to come out, but everything was hot and fresh so we didn’t mind. We were fortunate that our burgers and fries were all tasty. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
We’ve received some Smashburger gift cards so I’m not opposed to going back to this location. Unless something truly heinous happens, we’ll gladly enjoy our «free» food.

So, so salty. Like, almost couldn’t finish my burger because it was so salty. And if you know me, you know I ALWAYS clear my plate.
The much-​touted garlic rosemary «Smash Fries» were disappointing as well. Can we banish dried herbs from all menus please?
Next time I want a fast food burger, I’ll stick to Five Guys.
