This diner has a good menu and serves good quality food at a fair price. The omelets are ok. They are not made so that they come out fluffy light and appealing. Service is always excellent. It is very good for families.

I just ordered meatloaf with mushroom sauce and it was amazing. They baked it the grilled it. Never would I have thought meatloaf could taste so good.

First time to this diner and was very pleased. I ordered beer-battered cod tacos, which were on the specials. Very impressive! They were served with a slaw and fresh avocado slices and a chipotle sauce(I hate when fish tacos are served with lettuce, tomato and cheese, not the way they should!). They also came with cilantro-garlic fries. Very yummy even though I needed a mint afterward! My daughter and I shared a slice of key lime pie afterward, which was also delicious. I would go out of my way to return to this diner. Much better than others I have been to in my area.

To preface this review, I want to write that I’ve been here a countless amount of times and it’s my go to diner. But my recent experiences have been less than subpar. I don’t know if there is a change in management or a new waiting staff, but the quality is not what it was. The first bad experience was a few weeks ago on a busy Sunday. To begin, the wait was 45 minutes for a table for two– whatever I waited the 45 minutes. But then it took 20 minutes, after we were seated, for a waitress to come take orders, and then another 20 minutes to finally get our food. The Nutella stuffed French toast was small, flat, and weak– nothing stuffed about it. Also, the waitress, a young girl, charged me for a coffee refill but refills are free, and I know this because I have been getting coffee refills for years without being charged, as the menu states. Then today, my usual order, that I had been looking forward to all day, was messed up. I get the Bistro omelet, spinach and prosciutto, with American cheese added. I always add cheese to it for an additional $ 1.50. But today there was no cheese. My waitress disappeared and I waited 15 minutes to be able to tell her. She said the kitchen could fixed it. They did not fix it. I was not given a new omelet, just cheese slapped onto the old one. It was not melted and it was not enjoyable. The waitress then disappeared for a second time before I could ask her if a new one could be made. I’m sorry, I work in a restaurant and making yourself unavailable to customers is not a way to presents yourself. Anyway a new omelet came out with burnt home fries. I will be waiting a long time before going back.

Excellent. Easily best diner in the area. Place is clean and modern and bright. Servers are so polite and predict your needs without you having to ask(especially Gina). Food is basic diner fare, but good. Blows out the other diners in area, like Broadway. And to top it off they have gluten free pancakes and goat cheese omelettes. Prices very fair.

Its a diner, with more effort in the usual fare. Its hard to mess up breakfast food eggs, toast, juice, coffee. My brother had a lovely stack of pancakes with sausages it looked again slightly better than an average diner meal. I did notice some people waiting a bit for food but our server was expedient. It was not the cheapest place nor the fanciest for price.

Came in, ordered Chick Parm and Soup. Sat there for 20+ minutes watching all the other people that came in after me get their soup and then entrees, while my shell of a waitress just stood around talking to the managers. Wish I would have gotten one of the waiters that actually seemed to care. I walked out… Never going back.

My first experience was not so great. We were told by a friend that there was a vegetarian menu(on the back of menu) We had to wait awhile before we got our waitress. No problem. She was attentive. We ordered a cup of spinach soup each. It arrive lukewarm, cold cup and it was the resemblance of spinach with a super thick white sauce. I don’t eat lukewarm soup because bacteria can be growing for hours in it. Our waitress offered to microwave it but we didn’t want to risk it. Then tried avocado fries. Sounded great but came overfried so the panko breading was burned so ruined the taste. I ordered a vegetarian meal with eggplant, mushroom, tomatoes and mozzarella on a grilled flour tortilla. It hardly had any vegetables sited on it, only a few so wasn’t even big but flat as a pancake… Hardly a meal, maybe an appetizer, also tasted a bit burned… black spots all over tortilla. It was bland. It was accompanied by a side salad of baby lettuce. Plain and boring. My friend got the plated rice with beans, broccoli, assorted was served sauce or anything. Dry… Both meals were so so and left me wishing I had ordered a big beef cheeseburger instead… They have an extensive menu and I am sure most of the regular items must be great. Its hard to make great vegan or vegetarian meals on the side. I ended my meal with ordering a key lime pie slice to which I was told they were out of. So cheesecake slice. Our poor waitress made the dessert as pretty as she could, complete with whipped crème. She tried very hard to make us happy. We felt like we complained too much. But it is what it is and she isn’t the chef, cook… When we paid, the hostess who looked like the manager or owner, didn’t ask us how our meal was so I am assuming she heard all about it in the kitchen. I used to work it all so I know what goes on in the kitchen. I sure hope our waitress wasn’t blamed for their quality or skill… We left a good tip with the hostess for the waitress and the hostess laughed.? Maybe she was surprised we tipped, thinking it was us that was the problem, not their food… not sure… weird… All in all, I only enjoyed the cheesecake and they don’t even make that… Not sure if I will return, at least not for the vegetarian part of menu…

Friendly, warm, delicious, wide array of food, well-priced for value and plenty of it. I always have leftovers. The dinner specials with soup AND salad AND entrée AND dessert AND coffee for $ 14.95 are unbeatable. I bring friends from out of town and they are wowed. If you are a rice pudding fan you will be in heaven. And the spinach/feta entrees– either spinach pie or stuffed florentine chicken breasts are outstanding. One of our favorite places.

Went here for dinner last night and I must say I rather enjoyed dining at this diner. It was a very cosy atmosphere and the service we’ve had was great. The prices were very fair for the area and we enjoyed the food. No complaints here, except the hostess was a bit sassy, but that did not make or break our experience here. Overall, I like this place and if we are in the area, will return.

Pretty standard diner with your usual selection of breakfasts, salads, burgers, etc. Decent selection of kids meals, complete with drink, handful of mains(choices) and cookie/ice cream dessert. The mac n cheese bites were a real hit – the shape and size of chicken nuggets, easy for kids to dip and eat. Pretty standard omelettes, all priced as you’d expect with a nice array of choices and a make-your-own option. Beautiful pancakes, plain or with plentiful fill-ins – Oreo, chocolate chip, blueberry. Golden brown and fluffy. Pretty crisp fries hit the spot. Not a spectacular diner by any stretch, but good enough. The attentive, friendly service and clean vibrant atmosphere give them the benefit of the doubt. They roam about constantly to refill water and coffee. The host staff roams about to backup the wait staff to ensure you don’t have to wait on extra ketchup, napkins, to alert your server, etc. That service really makes you feel comfortable(I’m looking at you, Ritz diner!) Ample enough parking lot. They could use a bench or some seats in the«waiting» area, as it tends to get a bit crowded on for the weekend breakfast and dinner rush. Best diner in NJ? This isn’t Tops, but it’s a solid local establishment.

If you haven’t been you are missing out on the best diner in NJ!!! Food is fresh and the service is outstanding… Whether you are there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the choices are endless and the prices very reasonable. Both lunch and dinner specials are exciting and very fresh! Always reluctant to order fish at a diner but NOT here… Get here… it’s worth it!!!

I love the prestige diner! Everything is great, Nutella stuffed french toast is a special some days, my favorite thing is the Buffalo chicken wrap, the french fries are good, milkshakes are amazing! The waitresses are all so nice too. I could eat here every single day and never run out of food options.

Staff are very welcoming. The food served is okay. Portions are on the big side. This is my definition of what a dinner should be.

I’m a huge fan of classic diners and this really fits the bill. It’s family-run, they have a huge and diverse menu, and they have tons of fresh desserts. I particularly enjoy getting breakfast at diners, so I tried a few over easy eggs with sausage. The eggs were very good, but the sausage was pretty bland and had a very fine texture(not my favorite at all). I did try a slice of German chocolate cake for dessert and the slice of cake was cheap, huge, and very tasty. This is a decent diner overall and while it didn’t wow me on the first go around, I’ll definitely give it another chance.

I don’t go to diners for seafood, steaks, meatloaf, triple decker sandwiches or mile high pies. For me, there is only one meal to be had-Lox and onion omelette, well done home fries and rye toast with a good cup of coffee. I’ve had this very same meal at dozens of diners throughout New Jersey. From the horrifically bad to mighty fine. Prestige makes a really good omelette. Nothing that would make your eyes roll back in your head in delight but really good. Same with the hash browns and coffee. The place is always crowded and the service is usually adequate. Like Unilocal says, «A-OK.»
