Service, what service? Could not get waited on until we asked for service at bar. The girl next to us at the bar had waited 20 min for a glass of wine(bar tender forgot her order). Nice atmosphere, but service very unorganized. It appeared that on the people getting service were a group on the outside deck. Seafood artichoke dip appetizer very good, but also very pricey for such small dish. Wine was good. Potential for nice spot for wine, appetizer and dessert. But with higher prices, you expect good service. Apparently they were having a bad day. May try again. Outside deck very nice. Nice atmosphere, renovated older building.

Service, what service? You were expecting service? In a restaurant? Don’t be ridiculous. Our server forgot our order. Our server was basically nowhere to be found the majority of the time. We had to walk up to get our check because we couldn’t wait another hour for the server to decide to appear in the vicinity of our table. I was not offered a sample of the wine I ordered, which I would not have ordered had I been allowed a sample. The food was good when we were finally asked what the orders were, actually remembered to be put in to the kitchen, and brought out at least an hour after arrival. Good food does not make up for being basically ignored.

I’ve been here many many times. The food is very very good! I’ve never been disappointed with it or their drinks. And their new patio is beautiful and very relaxing! The reason for the low rating is their customer service. Customer service is a very large part of your dining experience, and if it’s lousy then so will your experience be. We get the same waitress every time,(it’s a fairly small establishment) and never does she ever have a smile on her face. She takes your order, gives food, checks, and that’s it. If you need anything you have to go to them. No before dinner plates, no water, no «how is your food?», no «can I get you another drink?», no menus. My mother had 2 bugs in her drink so I took it to the bar and when I asked for a new one she looked at me like I was crazy. But finely she let out a very long sigh and got me a new one. Again, the food is VERY good, the prices are pretty decent and I love the atmosphere. Will I still come to the Prairie Pond in the future? Probably once in a while but I just hope they improve their attitude.

Great food and a great atmosphere. Definitely a wonderful welcome to the same old basic food you find in New Prague restaurants. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stopped on our way to Minneapolis and did their wine tasting and then had a great lunch with another glass of wine. Very nice place and owners were friendly.

My husband and I have passed Prairie Pond Vineyard and Winery many times, wondering what it’s all about. I’m happy we finally stopped! We were there on a snowy Friday night around 6pm. Several tables were occupied, and people continued to come in. There’s a long bar, several high-top tables, a couple small chairs w/side tables in front of the window, and a large couch area for lounging. In the back, there’s a little area with wine and themed accessories and gifts for sale. The lighting was perfect, not too bright or dim, creating a nice ambiance for couples or small groups to chat and enjoy a bite and glass of wine. The bartender/server was friendly and knowledgeable. He encouraged us to a taste a MN wine(I’m not usually a fan). We had two glasses ;-). They have a variety of local wines, and several from around the world. It’s a pretty good selection. They have a few beers as well. The menu had a nice selection of tapas-like items, as well as salads and sandwiches. It’s a lighter menu overall. We shared the Antipasti tray, which had good variety and was quite tasty. We also shared the special, with was a Caribbean Shrimp Wrap. That was fresh and tasty as well. I’d encourage folks to give it a try. It’s a gem in this small town! We’ll definitely be back.
