Its can be expensive, but it’s totally worth it. I’m happy to spend the money knowing that it’s family owned and operated, and I know the guy from the area.

My favorite spot in New Paltz. It just feels good inside and out. The food is delicious, Jen and Seth and the crew are really sweet people. Great for singles, first dates, post-hiking groups. Big families probably have to sit outside on the porch but that’s fun. Dogs welcome on the porch! They have their own parking lot for out of town guests. I think you have to use the bathroom over at Water Street, though.

Outstanding. The coconut shake? To die for! The Chocolate cake! The oatmeal! The Kale salad! Plus, Wait– the brussel sprouts-YUM! Jen and Seth are the coolest couple. A great place to eat or get it to go. Can’t go wrong here. Only problem is what to choose.

We were tired and hungry after an afternoon of hiking and all we wanted was a good, bowl of hearty soup. Karma Road delivered in the form of a red bean soup that my wife and I rated a 10⁄10(and trust me, my wife makes some great soups). But that’s not all, the great food just kept on coming. We followed with a pizza made with a quinoa crust and spinach and a pumpkin biscuit that was delightful. To wrap up, fresh baked peanut butter and jelly cookies filled with raspberry jelly were our dessert and part of our take-away. The open kitchen revealed a clean working environment. This is something very important to us that is not always visible. Value-wise, Karma Road gives great value in addition to offering very healthy selections. Finally, there is good karma at Karma Road and it’s evident from seeing the interaction among the staff and the way they made us feel — at home.

While I LOVE all the food here, I had to drop a review for the Three Sisters soup of the Moment. Holy MOLY is this the perfect treat for my taste buds. The PERFECT lunch for a drizzly autumn day. I SHOULD be able to cook like this– but they just do it soooo much BETTER! I forget they are vegan

I always feel really guilty when I go Karma Road, because, as I grit my teeth and hand over a ridiculous amount of money, I think, «I could have easily made this at home.» Their food always seems really fun and like something I’ll feel really good about after eating it. Generally, that’s true, but you’re really not given what you should for the amount you pay. I’ve always found their food bland and it’s hard not to walk away frustrated from that when they’re quite pricey. That being said, they have a very nice staff who all seem like they enjoy working there and with each other. There’s a lot of headscarf-wearing, cut up T shirt camaraderie there that always boosts the vibe of the place. The thing that redeems Karma Road for me is their smoothies. I get this one called«Turning Violet» every single time. It’s blueberries, bananas and soy milk and I don’t care if they get $ 7 of my hard earned money. I’d pay $ 70 for that damn smoothies if I had to.

My two Vegan friends brought me here and I was extremely skeptical as I’m not vegan. I was surprised how good the food was. I now go here almost every week and order their TLT. The bacon substitute they use is outstanding. Their coleslaw is delicious and because I am lactose intolerant, I enjoy the fact I can order a smoothie and not worry about it. I recommend this place now for a good healthy breakfast.

This place is very good, one of the best vegan places ive ever been to. The affordabowl is the thing i always get because they have cool sides. I always get the sweet potato biscuits and the juices sometimes which are very healthy and low in calories. The only reason why I am not giving this review a 5th star is because of a sanitary issue when I have been there. There was a guy preparing my food I think he was new. When he was prepping my food, he was not exactly wearing the plastic glove like the rest of the workers. Instead he would slide the food into the tray with the glove in his hand with his hairy skin touching my food, skin touching my sweet potato biscuit.

Had two wonderful meals here, both we took to go, but they have a lovely outdoor seating area as well as a handful of tables indoors. I personally didn’t care for the Reuben, but I loved the pesto on the tofu sandwich. I ordered the brussell sprouts, curry, and broccoli in one of their bowl options(not a huge portion) but it was delicious. A few of the baked goods are wonderful, didn’t care for the chocolate cake(GF) but the berry muffin and banana bread were very good.

Amazing vegan food. We had the vegan pizza for lunch with collard greens and the BBQ tofu. Delicious! Don’t forget about breakfast here either. They have great tofu & potatoe burritos and a savory, sweet potatoe bisquit. Oh and the blueberry chocolate mufflin is awesome also! A must stop in New Paltz.(:

Finding vegan options can be tough north of NYC. My girlfriend and I are both vegan and go to school in Poughkeepsie. We were happy to find out via Unilocal that Karma Road was exclusively vegan and located in the cute town of New Paltz, right across the river. The location is quaint and we were able to finding seating immediately after ordering. I ordered a tempeh bacon and tofu scrambled sandwich and wake up call shake. My girlfriend ordered the cesar salad. We shared a chocolate brownie that was oddly labeled as cake and a chocolate chip/berry muffin. The food took a while to get ready. The tempeh bacon and tofu scrambled sandwich was very average and completely bland/uninspiring. The bread was thin and the portion was actually really small for the price. The shake was pretty good and came out within minutes of ordering, unfortunately I finished it before the food came since it took a while. My girlfriends cesar salad was really tasty and she was happy because normally she can’t find any vegan options elsewhere. The muffin and brownie we shared were bland and under cooked. This was probably the most disappointing part out of our brunch. Like many of the other reviews say this place is really average and shouldn’t be as expensive as it is. I guess they are just counting on the fact that there are so few establishments that are entirely vegan :( With some tweaks this place could be really wonderful. Until then upstate NY is really lacking in quality vegan options.

The falafel wrap was delicious and they’re very flexible about substituting ingredients for others if you ask. The shakes were also delicious, highly recommend the tropical shake and the wake up call.

Ate here again, same circumstances, dinner on the road to Vermont. Arrived 15 minutes before closing time, staff were gracious and helpful. Ordered vegetarian BLT and Reuben sandwiches and a smoothie. Food took about 15 minutes to prepare, not terrible. Delicious food, great bread, and the Fakin’Bacon on the BLT was killer! Side tiny but good kale salad/slaw also good. Only suggestion is a bit less mayo and dressings on everything. We will return! Great to sit on the deck in a dog-friendly area, complete with water bowl. Much appreciated!

Okay, so I’ve tried Karma Road two more times since my first review, and was quite pleased both times. Service was much faster and very friendly, too. This most recent time I ordered the falafel sandwich(but on a GF wrap), and it was very hearty, flavorful, etc. OH! And the PBJ cookie – good, good stuff!

Buy a Karma Road coffee mug! It’s bigger on the inside! It looks like a regular cup, but it holds a remarkable amount of coffee — silly to write a review over a dumb mug — but really — buy the mug! You have to go and SEE the food — see what’s in season, you won’t go wrong, no matter what you pick. Take home some Veggie Slaw — it’s great by itself, on sandwiches, and even on fish tacos(sorry, I know it’s vegetarian, but I’m a proud meat lover: D) Which, just goes to show — the food is good — it’s delicious, fresh, and flavorful. and ALWAYS try the soup of the moment — even if you’re «picky» and don’t think you’ll like it — they give you a sample, so just try it: D

This place is awesome. I had a delicious«avocado explosion» sandwich with a side of veggie slaw. My friend had a baked tofu sandwich that he really liked too. I had a hard time choosing what to get because everything looked incredible. Server was super friendly and helpful. I’ll be making a trip back to New Paltz to visit this place!

I got a green juice and a kale salad which were fine but nothing remarkable. The staff is friendly and the price pricy, but you should expect that since the ingredients they use are all pretty fresh

Conveniently located close to rail trail so its a short few steps walk up hill. place for bikes to park, little outdoor deck seating are available as well as inside tables. Friendly staff. tried them for lunch. My avocado explosion wrap was nice but not wow, and total 10 $ for a rather slim veggie wrap(avocado, sprouts, carrots and dressing — extra dollar to substitute bread for wrap) is steep. Prices for all smoothies are on a high end as well so I opted out from trying. Service is little slow but they were busy so it was in a acceptable range.

This food, breakfast burrito and granola bowl, is so amazing! The coffee is really great with a selection of milks(chose almond milk). Also we tried the juices, carrot celery and spinach, and they are amazing too. This place is a gem!
