Dad is almost 80 am not a baby boomer and has been using a Mac since 1983 or thereabouts on a daily basis. All but my first have come from TCL. The other day I bought a new air book to supplement my mini. They have always been professional and helpful. Doreen has just about been my only sales contact, so perhaps I am spoiled. I don’t know of a better place. I have looked at computers in other stores and most of the sales people should be selling used cars. I used another popular computer at work and while it tried to be a Mac it was no pleasure to use. Thank you Computer Lab and thanks for finally putting a step at the front door.

I just had my iPhone battery placed at The Computer Lab today(Apple recall) and couldn’t be happier. I brought in my phone to the helpful customer service guy, filled out some paperwork and he took it to the back room to be tested. Since my phone was eligible for the recall, they were able to replace my battery on the spot while I waited and browsed on the computers they have set up. It took all of 15 to 20 minutes, tops! Seriously recommend them!

If I could base this review on the one youngish guy who works at the Computer Lab… it would be 6 stars. He is practically a nerd sales chameleon. Able to patiently explain to baby boomers and older why an Airbook would benefit them… honestly. And able to apply charm and humor… Maybe he’s actually a serial killer. But really… I don’t care. He’s great. Also, Red’s computer was fixed promptly. No big complaints there… The manager though… wow. I’m sure she’s a really nice woman… but when I was trying to resolve an issue(in the businesses favor), she became very accusatory. At me, at the serial killer nerd… and we didn’t even do anything! Even so, I was apologetic, but she still seemed to have some issue or attitude. It made for a very uncomfortable ending to what was a very successful business transaction. This won’t, however, stop me from coming back. They specialize in Macs — they’ll repair iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc. And have a good knowledge of products that will make your tech life much easier.
