Waitress got drink order wrong. Soup had chicken bone in it and my spoon could stand up straight it was so thick. Chicken wings so well done no flavor must have been sitting under a heat lamp. Asked 3 times for ice never got it. Needless to say will never go back

Great atmosphere, great selections of alcohol but the food is lacking tremendously. This would be a great place for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon just nibbling on appetizers and drinking watching hockey or football, but the food is very inconsistent. Service Is ok, a bunch of young girls trying to get their foot in the door with foodservice industry. So I will give them a break for that. This could be a great place if the food was good and consistent. For example, their barbecued pulled pork Pizza is very good, but on two occasions I’ve had to send it back due to overdone and one occasion no barbecue sauce on it. The French onion soup that I had this weekend was like someone dropped a whole container of salt in it. I have noticed when my food is crappy, they are having big receptions in the banquet room or in the room with the stage. Therefore I think the general customers food suffers. The restaurant in this town for fly by nights and only last a few years, I hope this isn’t 1 of them.

Came here with a large group with a reservation. Not sure if it was a novice server or not but I had to repeat my order to her four times before she could retrieve my bill(my bill was two items), never got any refill of water, she never came back after my plate was cleared in fact so after 45 minutes I asked for the bill. The food was terrible and I am someone who isn’t too hard to please. I ordered the smoked brisket and two sides of green beans. The green beans were okay but the meat was bad. It looked like they had stopped at the Jewel deli counter, ordered corned beef and boiled it in liquid smoke and water. If I hadn’t been so hungry from not eating all day I would have sent it back. I put the cup of sauce they gave me(which I never put on smoked brisket in a normal situation) and ate only enough to stop the hunger pains. The meat wasn’t even sliced properly, it was cut parallel to the grain so it was a stringy mess. They honestly should just take it off the menu or call it something else like boils beef with a side of sauce. From the looks of my companions’ plates no one loved their meals. :(Probably a great place to drink and watch the band but not to eat beyond fries and nachos.

Great local pub and live music venue. There are not enough places around the south suburbs that combine 3 of my favorite things… live music, craft beer and food. Worth the visit. I highly recommend checking out the Monday night bluegrass jam along with $ 5 burgers and $ 3 pints!

I am adjusting my previous review. After made a recent visit to this establishment and it is definitely my last visit. I said how the wings at this place were some of the best around. I came back here after nearly a 4 year absence and the wings are completely changed. They’re now just your average run of the mill southside bar buffalo wings. Nothing special about them. If you’re looking for an experience that makes you go «meh» this is the place! Also, a little story — When I first went into this bar years ago not too long after it opened, I was sitting at the bar and noticed how annoying it was that there was no foot-rail along the bottom of the bar. This may seem very minor, but it’s annoying when you’re sitting on a bar stool and your legs have to dangle like you’re a toddler. I asked the bartender, «why don’t you guys have a foot-rail along the bottom of this bar? You know, to rest your feet?» — her response? «I don’t know, but everyone keeps asking us about that» — So fast forward to 4 years later and STILL no foot-rail to rest your feet. I tell this story because this tells you all you need to know about this bar. The owners of this place simply don’t care. I think they just make enough money to keep this place afloat and have a cool bar they can go hang out with their friends at, but as far as taking this place to the next level? They don’t care. The only reason this place survives is because it’s really the only thing right in this area. I bet people from like Manhattan think this place is awesome because they never venture out anywhere north of route-30 and that’s just sad. Want a much better establishment close by? Go to Bulldogs Ale House on Rt.30 by the Lowes.

First time here and the place is nice and quite large. Plenty of seating and TV’s around to watch a game. Decent beer selection and on this Saturday they had 3.50 Jack Daniels specials. Well I had to jump on that wagon. I went for the Charleston burger med well with a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw was not much to talk about or taste. The burger itself was good but it was served on an oversized bun. But at least the burger was good when I found it. Ok place probably better for having some drinks, watching a game.

So we came here for lunch and the place was empty. I did not realize that they have a stage and a banquet room. We sat at the island and the server came and asked for our drink order. Jack Daniels was on special and that’s what I had. A tall Jack sour please. Well, that must have been too difficult. Because the server came back and said that they don’t have Jack sour. But, they do have sour mix and they can put Jack in it. If a Sour Jack is all you have, than that’s what I’m drinking. The three I had were right on the money! Now that that’s cleared up, I asked Miss Personality for the meatloaf sandwich with garlic mashed. My sandwich came out and the first thing that I noticed was the toast. When I tried to pick up the sandwich it cracked into pieces. Which meant the bread was stale. The bacon was severely undercooked and the grilled onions were just, onions! The bbq sauce was straight out of a bottle but the actual meatloaf was good. The mashed tots were nice and tasty as well. I could have gone for another drink, but the little lady couldn’t be bothered with us anymore and brought us the tab. I looked at the bill and it said, zero guests and no pickle. We could have had a pickle? I will be back to try some of their other selections and next time I will make sure to avoid Miss, I just got out of bed with a hang over and I can’t believe I have to work on a Saturday this is so not my frickin life I should have gotten pregnant in H.S. like all my friends, Personality!

I’ve been here many times because it’s close to home and always had just ok service. The food is decent not spectacular. However tonight pushed me over the edge to write this review. The service was horrible. Worst we’ve had in a long time. Our waitress was non-existent most of the night and then walked right past our table with empty drinks and plates clearly waiting for our check to go outside to smoke. I had to ask the hostess to go get her after 20 minutes so we could get our check. We will not be going back. Such a shame because the place has potential.

Nice spot in a strip mall. Plenty of space if you wanted to hold a private party. Ghost wings are pretty good but I don’t think they’re that spicy. Sloppy Fries — awesome! They’re like Hooters Lots of Tots just as fries! Wait staff/bartenders in main dining are lacking the friendly smile. That’s the only bad thing about this place, they aren’t so attentive & no service with a smile.

Dinner was sub par. The Mac and cheese resembled something I could buy in a box and make at home and the pulled pork was very dry. I would not come back.

My favorite local restaurant. Great draft beer selection and great food. They also have some pretty decent daily drink specials too.

I’ll have to update my review once again… my wife & I have decided, with some reservation, to start looking for another restaurant to frequent as the menu here simply keeps being changed, paired down, etc & the food items we both really enjoyed are no longer available. I still love the inside of this place: lots of TV’s & the seating area & bar is nicely done. On a quick sidenote, I do understand the owners need to pay the bills & their recent switch to a country bar in the past year. If you’ve ever been to Shooter’s in Shorewood or Saddle Up Saloon in Naperville — you know the crowds those places draw on a weekend night — it makes sense. Unfortunately, the menu & food have suffered. I will say the Monday $ 5 burger deal is still worth going for though. Seasoned fries here are ALWAYS good, too. The rest of the menu — like others have stated recently — nothing just jumps out at you. Service, on the upside, seems to have improved as there are more servers working these days than in the past when one, maybe two, servers handled diners. My favorite restaurants normally when looking at the menu there’s multiple items I want to eat/order…at Charleston’s though — it’s just not the case.

Owners are so dishonest. I would not eat here. The band I follow was scheduled to played here, showed up, but the bar did not have a sound guy. So owners agreed to pay the band, wrote a check and then the owners decided to cancel the check and withdrew the money from their account. So slimy! To top it off they were suppose to reimburse the band for hotel rooms that they were suppose reserve, but nope, they did not follow through on that either. So my advice, don’t eat here. Go somewhere that actually pays their musicians.

Sorry, I tried to like this restaurant but the food is just bland and the drink and beer selections are average. Given the prices of the selections, I expected a bit more.

I have been to this bar 3 times now and have tried a little of everything. I think I can fairly say that I don’t love it. They try really hard. I will give them that. It just falls short in every area. The menu isn’t all that to begin with. Nothing really jumps out at me. To make matters worse everything is average. I have tried everything from appetizers to salads and sandwiches and average is the biggest compliment I can give it. The drinks and beer are nothing compared to a few other places in the area. The beer selection is a huge letdown. Its possible I’m comparing it to Tribes though. The real reason its getting 3 stars and not 2 is the Bloody Mary’s. They do make a good Bloody Mary. Service is usually pretty friendly too.

CLOSED!!! Had a good experience here the first time. The second and last was horrible. I bragged to my family about how good the dry rubbed chicken was and that it was flavorful, juicy and just delicious(I ordered it on my first trip). so three of us ordered it. When it arrived it was COLD, had the consistency of rubber and the dry rub tasted like a salt lick. Sent it back to get warmed up and it was even drier. Have not been back since. I love to support local business, but I was so let down, I just can’t go back despite a good selection of beers.

This place is going downhill again pretty quickly. They seem to be taking the good food off the menu slowly. They went from a 3 page menu, down to one. I understand only serving a small menu of things you specialize in, but nothing on there seems to be special. The beer selection is still ok, and they have some decent specials such as– $ 3 craft beer mondays. The one feature everybody seemed to like about this place was the huge outdoor patio. Well, the patio has been closed all summer long. Every time I was here, there would be a sign on the door that said«reserved for party». One good thing about this place– If you are looking for a bar that’s NOT crowded on a Friday night, this is it!

It’s 10:50 on a saturday night. After being here for 2+ hours already I think the waitress has only stopped by us 5 – 6 times and we’re a group of 15. That might explain why we are the the ONLY people here. Or maybe the fact that they are using a power drill, making a ton of noise, and doing maitanence on the«stage» after we just put money in the jukebox at 10:30p.m. on a SATURDAY is why there is noone in here. The one star is for the nice decorations and the good beverage selection. But don’t get excited about drinking because neither the waitress nor bartender will serve you very quickly. Also thanks to the poor service we weren’t able to get food because she never made it back to us before 10:00-when the kitchen closes. Oh well. We won’t be back.

I have to give this place 5 Stars because it’s the best bar in New Lenox… hands down. They have a great craft beer selection and quality food. The service is a little spotty but never terrible. The Merkts Cheddar and Bacon Burger is amazing. The place doesn’t get too busy after dinner for some reason which could have something to do with the location. You can sometimes play bean bags if that area isn’t reserved for a party. The atmosphere is very nice and enough T.V.‘s for watching a game.

Came in for a late lunch — the place was clean and had plenty of room. Seated ourselves and had a really nice, polite server. Ordered the blackened fish poor boy sandwich and it was delicious! The fries were good, but nothing mind-blowing. I also tried a pretzel and really liked that too. They have daily specials listed on a chalkboard there and seem to have plenty of events going on.
