Great food and the best prices in the area especially compared to the more expensive delis up the block. The best penne alla vodka I ever had in my life, it’s only made on Tuesdays though.

From Stracciatella cookies to Oggi Italian magazine Remo’s is a taste of Italy in New Hyde Park. I first came here about a year ago when my sister recommended the salads. I had one and was hooked! A GREAT portion size for the price, fresh, and chock full of delicious ingredients the salads at Remo’s are the best. There’s lots more to choose from including sandwiches and pasta. I’ll try them one day but every time I go I’m just drawn to those awesome salads :)

The best deli in the NHP area! I don’t know why some delis make heros using subpar bread — the key to a great sandwich is the bread. Their rolls and heros are always soft and taste great. It’s a family run business and no frills. Just great food and great service.

Upon first quick glance – none of the hot dishes jumped out at me and grabbed my attention. I opted for the cold Italian Combo hero. «Dry extra oregano, olive oil – no vinegar, no. salt & pepper.» That’s exactly what Remo’s Deliman delivered to a tee, he was a pro, and he created a 4.5 star beautifully old school, authentic sandwich with 3.0 star quality Boars Head cold cuts, served with 5.0 star service. The bread was quite wide, like a mooses tounge, the ingredients were laid on thick, packed to both sides of the hero bread. It’s a lot of product for $ 9.50 I’m slightly disappointed in my choice, so my return trip will be swift and I intend on ordering more correctly. The one downside to this enjoyable lunch experience, where I was genuinely welcomed by staff and owner, was that the Italian visual authenticity did not exactly translate to the meats used to create the cold sandwiches.

I have loved eggplant even before becoming a vegetarian. Remo’s has the best. It’s on special Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Servings are large and very generous. It’s my once a week treat and I can’t wait to get some more! My parents get breakfast here multiple times per week and always make it two meals bc there is so much on a plate.

Love this local deli… Family owned and operated. Best garlic knots in town! From the husband and wife straight off the boat from Italy and their two sons, daughter and grandson working together, u automatically get a homely feeling any time you go there. Sandwiched are humongous. Their coffee is better than anywhere else and whether u need a dentist, contractor, apartment, etc, just ask remo or manna… They know everyone! Lol

Just a great italian Deli. They are accomodating and their sandwichs are all made to order(I hate when you order an italian hero and they have the meat pre-sliced) and to your specifications. Havent tried their food but I hear it s also incredible!!!

The whole vibe in here screams old school deli. Nothing special to look at, but the food, the food is outrageous. Quite possibly the best goddamn garlic knots on the face of the planet! Get there by noon or they will be gone. I don’t often get excited, but when I’m walking thru remo’s door It’s gets my BP cranking. Anything and I mean anything you order is made with care, and will fill you up, then later on will fill you up again with the other half. If you happened to be in the area get there now, if your nowhere near this place, get in your car and go.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. His raves made me want to go taste the food for myself. I ordered meatballs and spaghetti and I must say, the meatballs were the best that I have had in a long time. The hint of garlic enhanced the flavor of the meat perfectly. The spaghetti sauce was wonderful and the pasta was done to perfection. In addition to all that, the owners and people behind the counter were friendly and couldn’t do enough to satisfy the customer. Also, their servings were more than substantial.

Love that old school Italian Deli? Look no further, hit the brakes and stop the car. The place is crawling with law enforcement & trades man and they know where to get a good meal. From a classic hero to hot dishes it is all made by caring hands that don’t want you to be hungry. Delish

This place is highly overrated. Their sandwhiches are nothing special and everything else is just average or slightly below average. I would get it again, just there are much better delis out there around the neighborhood.

Best deli on the Island. Everything you get there is great. They never mess up an order and the owner and workers are really good people. They remember you as customers. Try the burger delux, best burger I have ever had. Try EVERYTHiNG!!! Get there by 12 for the best garlic knots. Best of all, the prices can’ be beat anywhere.

Great Italian market in New Hyde Park. I have picked up the hot Italian sausage and their ravioli — both were very good. They have many different types of meats there, many of which are home made. A lot of the meats they have are not displayed, just ask and they will help guide you through the purchase process. Worth the trip.

Amazingly good garlic knots, but they sell out by noon, they also have incredible chicken cutlets(raw for cooking, not a piece of fat on them, pounded super thin) also the grated romano cheese in a bag is the best you can get, and the owners are so nice, they’ve known me my entire life!

You wouldn’t look twice at this deli on Jericho turnpike — in fact it looks downright nasty from the outside however it is what he is harboring inside that will make you swoon. A real Italian deli(salumeria), they make the most incredible Italian dishes in there. Service is «gruff» — don’t get all fancy and no one will get hurt, but if you go for what they have in the display case, you will be delighted. I have never had so many different and wonderful goodies from one place. They made some garlic knots that blew my head off with garlic… mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm gaarrrrrrrrrrrrrlic. Everything is fresh and the prices are excellent.
