SORUDE!!! I called to ask the prices of 2 bottles of wine. I got one price and when I went to ask about the other I was rudely cut off and the guy said«I’M NOTGONNAGIVEYOUPRICESOVERTHEPHONE. YOUGOTONE, THAT’S IT. IT’S A HOLIDAY. GOODBYE.» And he hung up!!! I was planning on buying 10 cases of wine, so that mistake just cost the store $ 2000. I called back to speak to a manager, and the same guy I spoke to claimed to be the manager and was even more rude than before. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer! Avoid this place unless you like being talked down to and disrespected!!! Go to Cappy’s in Lynbrook! Better selection, better prices and MUCH better service.

SK Wines customer service is horrible. They waited almost a week to contact me about a minor issue then cancelled my order when I got upset.

Nice store with a lot of selections. Parking is on street(no muni-meter) but be careful because Hillside is a race track. Next door is a smoke shop and holy Hookah have they got a ton of them in the window. They must be free. Haha… don’t quote me on that one.

Very nice local store. Helpfull staff. Its a small store but has a very varied selection of international a domestic wines. The gentleman that has helped me the 3 times that I have visited(I believe he is the owner) made excellent suggestions when I needed a white wine.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside but they have an outstanding wine selection and carry bottles I can’t find anywhere else(14 Hands, for one).

So my wife is expecting and ready to give birth any day now. Which means our level of going out to eat and checking out restaurants bars etc is at an all time low! And that’s cool with me… what could be better than a bundle of joy on the way! But everynow and then you still need a good bottle of wine right? In my new neigborhood, New Hyde Park, I have found a gem of a liquor store. Now that’s not to say I am a lush… I speak highly of this store because of their wine selection. Many liquor stores that are not true wineries usually have your generice California brands. So I walked in here expecting to find one or 2 shelves of South American wines… maybe 3 botles of German Reislings? I almost pissed myself when I started walking around. almost a whole aisle of South American and spanish wines… about 5 whole shelves of German and Austrian Rieslings! I got pretty excited as you can imagine. And wait they weren’t done. They actually had the high priced bottles that you would never find anywhere except maybe Morell’s in Rock Center. Loved the fact they had Don Melchor(Concha & Toro high priced Chilean Cabernet). Had a nice slection of wines from Spain also… love me a good Rioja every now and then! And they had SYRAHS… go ahead… sigh…SYRAHHHH! So if anyone out there has a few extra bucks and wants to throw me a nice bottle of Silver Oak Cab for the holidays… I have a vendor for you right here! Go check it out… its worth the trip out here if you are in nearby Queens! You’ll see me there often on Friday or Satuday nights… I mean gotta be home in case the wife yells«Its Time!» Cheers!
