So sad that this place is gone. It held a lot of special memories for me. I loved sitting outside, drinking their massive glasses of wine, splitting their fruit & cheese platter and ordering the yummy Pad Tai dish. It was lovely listening to the water and watching people stroll across the bridge. Now it’s a wine, beer & whiskey bar. Took some pics to share here.

CANSOMEONEPLEASE, PLEASEBUYTHISPLACEALREADY! I have eaten at Wildflowers literally every one of the 100 times I have been to New Hope and now they’re closed. THATSUCKS! I heard that someone was looking to turn it into a whiskey tasting/paring place. Meh. The way it was was just fine with me. Nothing better then sitting on their patio on a nice day, listening to the water and watching people walk up & down Main St. Food and service was great, too. In a perfect world, places like this would never close. I mean, they DESERVE to remain open. I just wish that someone would reopen it. I would wait in line to eat there any day.

It is a shame this restaurant closed. My wife and I always enjoyed a romantic dinner on the patio. The lights in the willow trees was very romantic. Where else could you find a menu with meatloaf, Mexican, and Thai food. All very good. We will miss this place.

Our favorite stop for late afternoon /early evening bite and spring means another visit! The food in simple, but very good. The setting is what makes this charming little spot a treat. Looking at the bridge over the canal falls, the wildlife and butterflies, the lights in the trees. very sweet and romantic. Definitely try the the Thai food, as that is the signature of the house. The rest of the stuff it on there to appease the taste-challenged and isn’t as good. You can get spicy or not-so-spicy so order accordingly. Tops!

Love this place. My favorite spot in New Hope. I always sit outside in the«garden», which isn’t very big, but I love the intimate feel. If you are there at night it’s a little extra special because they have strings of white lights woven through the trees and it’s so pretty and gives the ambiance a magical touch. The menu is very diverse, although I would say their specialty is Thai. We always order the same thing — the Thai Sampler for appetizer and the Pad Thai for dinner. So yummy! I do wish that the portions were just a liiiitle bigger, but it is certainly enough to feel content and leaves some room for dessert :)

Sadly, I have avoided this wonderful gem for years because of the«eclectic» menu featuring a variety of ethnic cuisines. I always thought how can they claim to be Thai, Italian, American, etc and to any of those well? But friends insisted on going there a few weeks ago on a Friday night and I went with it. will definitely be back. The place is wonderful! We sat outside and the ambiance was terrific — when dusk set in they turned on the lights — dozens of strands of white lights strung through the trees and dangling from the branches above — so picturesque. We learned that the chef’ is Thai so we went with that section of the menu. We split the Thai sampler, with wonderful dumplings and light, crispy spring rolls. My boyfriend had a red curry dish and I got the massaman yellow curry — both were out of this world. For the dishes that come with rice, the rice is presented in a teddy bear mold — a cute touch that goes to show that it’s the little things that go a long way. Everyone else in our party got something from the Thai menu as well and all were very impressed. I should also mention that we were 8 people on a Friday night during fireworks season and the service was top notch — we were well attended to and waited for nothing.

Love New Hope, but can’t say the same about this place. I actually think my meal there was the worst edible food I’ve ever been presented in a restaurant. It’s not that it was vile, stale, or of some other unappetizing quality, but rather, it was some of the most tasteless, bland, and overall unenjoyable food I’ve ever been served. Ordered some sort of quesadilla that consisted of chicken and a variety of undercooked vegetables that would be better suited for a chicken pot pie. Everything was thrown under a flour tortilla blanket, which makes me question the bold liberty which was taken when writing the menu and calling this dish a quesadilla. Also, the store-bought salsa and small bunch of generic nacho chips on the side didn’t do any favors. I’d love to go into the bare specifics of what made it so awfully tasteless, but I feel as though it’s not even worth any sort of description. My two fellow diners had better experiences, but were both highly underwhelmed with their respective Thai dishes. All in all, only went because it looked pleasant from the outside. Definite charm and a welcoming atmosphere, yet it all falls apart once the food comes to the table.

To be fair, this restaurant was a last minute change to our destination. It was 3 couples and the restaurant was able to seat us right away, which was great, especially during dinner rush in New Hope on a Saturday night. When I walked down the stairs to where we sat(we were late because of parking, which is never easy in New Hope), the table was under the awning and I felt like I was entering the Shire– the quaint pavers, the sound of the water, the river, the plant life, the mini doors, the mini bar, smaller tables etc made me feel like I was walking into Froto’s little hub. It was a little cramped where we sat being that that were not hobbits. The service was very nice and prompt. We ordered an appetizer, which was baked brie that had cranberry jelly with craisins and sliced, toasted almonds. It was tasty, but we all had to take SMALL portions; the dish was not a lot to share with five hungry, adults. I ordered a Thai dish, I can’t remember the name, but it was white rice, chicken– NOT a lot, pineapple and peppers.(Maybe onions). The sauce was a sweet and sour taste that was orange and I was full on this dish with the 3 glasses of Sangria, but if you ask which filled me first– most likely the sangria and the fruit. The Sangria was tasty. I was the only in the group that did not order a desert– nothing screamed out to me. I felt the meal I got and the price I paid was unjustified. The quantity of the meal just about filled one of those Corelle dishes that we all probably had during college days. I never thought myself to be picky about what your food was served on, but when I am paid $ 17 for a small dish of food that barely filled me, I would like to think the dish was not a left over from college. Also, my boyfriend, was still hungry(and that is with desert) when we left and he got food elsewhere. Also, the original meal he wanted was not available that night.

After eons of my bff telling me about how ahmaaazing this town called New Hope is, we finally went on a road trip and Wildflowers was our first stop in a fantastic day. A tiny little restaurant with as many outside tables as inside, this little café is super unassuming from a glance, but it’s adorable and has a huge menu based on their many international influences. Because of this last factor, I love that you could have a totally different time here based on which page you decide to order off of. There seemed to be just one guy working on the slow weekday when we arrived, and he was doing a good job running around taking orders, pouring us huge glasses of wine, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he made our sandwiches as well. The two of us decided on just some basic sandwiches to split: a warm veggie sandwich with brie and a tuna melt. Both came on a nice whole wheat bread with some kind of plain tortilla chips as a side. The best part of the meal was the ultra serious 8 oz glass of wine for only 6 bucks! The sandwiches were good, tasted very homemade-ey, and priced right at about 7 – 8 dollars. The other pages of the menu that included Mexican and Thai inspired foods looked interesting, but a little too heavy for our particular day. They were priced a little bit more, between 10 – 15 for lunch, with some slightly more expensive options for dinner. Altogether, the atmosphere of the café is what will absolutely drive me back. It’s super casual and comfortable, and the outside patio that’s slightly enclosed by greenery was really calming.(I’m pretty sure that feeling wasn’t just from the wine.) I wasn’t wowed by the food, but it was tasty enough and I’ll chalk it up to us ordering basic sandwiches.

On a recent day trip to New Hope, my BFF and I decided to grab some lunch at Wildflower. It was an adorable outdoor seating area. We arrive and were sat by a party of around 12 with 3 small children. They were loud at times, but it was a Wednesday afternoon, not a Friday night, so no biggie. We both ordered a glass of wine. Their menu states they serve generous 8oz servings and it did not disappoint. My pinot grigio was delish, huge, and only $ 6. We couldn’t decide on what to order. Their menu is a hodgepodge of different cuisines. Typically, I’m a little leery about places like that, so I decided to stick to a light sandwich. I ordered the fresh veggie sandwich with brie that was served warm and included broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onion, and bean sprouts. The bread was a multigrain bread and was fabulous. My BFF ordered the tuna melt with cheddar. The tuna was seasoned well, had fresh dill and served on the same bread as my sandwich. We gobbled them down quickly. It was a good experience. The outdoor seating could use a little sprucing up and updating. It’s a great place for lunch, but I’m not sure I would go for a dinner with so many other choices in the area.

This place is positively adorable. We sat on the beautiful outdoor patio under a canopy of gorgeous green trees. Our waitress was fantastic and very accomodating with doing separate checks for a group of 5. I ordered the Duck Curry.(SEEPICTURE) .tender chunks of duck meat and fresh veggies in a spicy red curry sauce, with a side of sticky rice. It really hit the spot. I even used the bread on the table to sop up the extra curry sauce it was so good! Some of my friends weren’t so thrilled with their dishes… one ordered the tacos($ 12) and thought it was way overpriced and that it way underdelivered on taste. Another friend had the salmon and said it was pretty fishy. My other girlfriend had the polish kielbasa sandwiches and said they were perfection, and my last friend there had the mole and enjoyed it. Though I’d never seen chicken mole come with potatoes, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. As a whole, we really enjoyed this little hidden garden of yumminess!
