Bought a 1970s Givenchy by Chesa Qiana(polyester) shirt here that I absolutely love. Doesn’t really fit but I like having it in my closet. My dad used to wear them when I was a kid. He paid almost $ 40 a piece which back then was a crapload of money for a shirt. I also bought a vintage heavy leather pea-coat with a removable lining. That makes two items that I really love which means that I really love Night Bird. Whomever does the buying and, in this case, the weeding out, surely knows what they’re doing. To elevate a store to «vintage“over«thrift» status isn’t as easy as one would think. They have a really eclectic assortment of fun, unique items. I never miss a visit there when I’m in New Hope. Love it!

If you’ve ever shopped at Retrospect in Philly and though, «So expensive!» This is the perfect shop for you! They have lots of quality leather goods, great denim selection, and decades of dresses that are all coming back in to style. It is a small space but packed to the brim with cool finds! I could come here just to window-shop! My boyfriend purchased a beautiful leather jacket in great condition for only $ 90! I didn’t make any purchases for myself, but will definitely be returning soon!

Walked in, walked out. I have to agree with one of the reviews when she said full of really cheesy, overpriced stuff. This is not for the true thrifters which are looking for one-of-a-kind items they luck out on finding at a decent price. The stuff is just OLD. Not unique, not fashionable, just old. And the prices were outrageous. I just needed one look around and a glance at the price tags to know that I wasn’t going to buy anything. Later.

Great shop. Exactly what you’d want or expect from a vintage shop. The prices are reasonable. As someone who frequents thrift shops quite often I love a place like this because they take the work out of it for you. This is not a thrift shop, if you’re looking for unique clothes that you’d actually want to wear a thrift shop has about 2% of the stuff you’d find here.

Really over priced, racks are full of cheesy stuff, do not bother looking for an immaculate w tags or designer piece. also, terrible location, very cramped.

I wanted to give this shop a 2⁄5 for the women’s selection but my boyfriend really liked the men’s selection. We made the trek to New Hope in search for vintage clothing, and this was our first stop. The prices are too high for what the store is providing, and we left empty-handed. There were no collectible vintage designers(even mid-to-low end designers) that I could find in the women’s section. I saw a disproportionate amount of cheap ‘70s fabrics, polyesters, etc. However, the selection is excellent for vintage men’s shirts especially. They had an array of men’s disco shirts(inc. silk blend) in a pretty large variety of prints and fabrics. I wanted to buy a men’s shirt in lieu of a women’s blouse but then realized it was $ 20 for unbranded polyester. The store had a rack of basic(men’s?) black leather jackets and a lot of women’s fur-trim coats. All in all, the store’s offerings struck me as the type of stuff you could find at Goodwill with some extra searching. If you are like me and go to Goodwill several times a year as well as spend time at flea markets and other thrift shops regularly, then there’s no need to stop at Night Bird Vintage Clothing for women’s vintage clothing on their non-sale days. Lastly, and oddly, this place was the only store in New Hope where the staff member behind the counter was not friendly; she didn’t say hi or strike up a conversation. That was odd to us because the town is one of the friendliest we’d experienced in awhile!

Night Owl Vintage Clothing is bar-none, THE coolest store in New Hope. It’s hidden down a long flight of steps sandwiched between a cluster of stores on Mechanic Street and is housed in the same building as the Gallery of Stars art gallery which is also a secret gem. Night Owl has the most AMAZING collection of vintage clothes, mostly from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s although there are a few older things mixed in. My favorite is their collection of 70’s era outerwear… light brown leather jackets, and winter coats with HUGE furry collars. They have some cool flashy disco clothes, funky polyester pants, and REAL retro t-shirts from the 80’s. This place is seriously sweeeeeeeet!
