Yurway Boutique

If you don’t want to look like everyone else that shops at JCrew, you go to a boutique like Yurway. Claudia is super helpful in finding outfits and items customers may not find otherwise. Thankfully, I am no longer a grad student, and don’t want to look like one. When I work in New Haven I always stop in to see what they have.

Nice, upscale clothes.
The two women who were working here on a Saturday afternoon were quite pushy, though — pushier than even in some NYC boutiques. It was really off-​putting and made me even less likely to try on anything.
Well, the prices were putting me off to begin with. Not sure how any student could afford these prices. And the jewelry was not even that interesting.

I happened into this shop last week while strolling around New Haven. I went in on a whim to buy a hat that was on display in the window. Claudia, the woman behind the counter, was enthusiastic and helpful as I browsed the rest of the store. I ended up loving the hat, and bought a cute skirt while I was there. It’s a perfect place to find unusual, pretty, reasonably priced clothes. I’ll definitely go back.

dont order from these guys. The worst ever they take your money and dont produce the goods.
I brought a ring after seeing a friends but was told that because gold is now more expensive they are using less quality so they agreed to make another from the website,.
They refuse to answer my calls and i never got the ring. After going through this i found other reviews where they had done the same so i would not recommend them.
ps price was never a question quality and bad service should i say no service.

I was pleasantly surprised by this store. I entered it on a whim while I was running errands downtown. My girlfriend and I found two dresses each that we loved, plus some unique accessories. The sales associate was VERY friendly, giving us suggestions and bringing stuff for us to the fitting room. I felt like I had a personal shopper. The prices were not cheap, but I didn’t think they were exorbitant either. It seemed reasonably priced for the type of clothes I was getting. I’m not giving it five stars because the plus size selection was small. If they stocked more large and extra large sizes, I would definitely give it five stars and shop there more frequently.

I really enjoy this place. The sales associates are always friendly! I can appreciate the other girls who reviewed yurway are on a budget, but I think the prices are very fair and the quality is worth it. I purchased a ring which I gave to someone very special to me from here. She wears it everyday and loves it because its unique… I’ve been in several times since I bought it and I’ve never seen a duplicate, which I appreciate. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for something that’s made just for them.

I was in a hurry to buy a dress for my schools annual dinner at the Omni. Without a car I was sort of trapped to shop for a cocktail attire, a conservative but affordable dress within New Haven. This was the only place I could find. I saw a dress in the window I liked and it turned out it was the one I bought. It was $ 69, which was the cheapest in the store. It actually looked fantastic and I got so much use out of it after the dinner for other occasions, but it really should have been a $ 20 dress. It was very nice but not nice enough in my opinion for $ 69. I am on a grad school budget so it was hard to swipe my debit card. However, the lady working there was nice and understanding when I told her I could not spend more than $ 90 and showed me dresses under that and brought them to my try on room.
If you’re in a pinch or see something you really like its worth it, and I was treated quite nicely even though I couldn’t afford much. But, if you want more options that are affordable I say get a ride to TJ maxx or something.

I was drawn into this store when walking by. If I wanted to spend $ 100 on a whim, this would be a great place to buy a colorful contemporary dress, skirt, or tunic shirt. They also have a nice selection of jewelery to accent the fashion. I think they sell Desigual brand clothes. It’s a nice place to browse, but I wasn’t even tempted to try anything on. There’s a clearance rack in the back.

Located at the corner of York and Chapel, this boutique adds color to the New Haven shopping scene. The clothes are unique and the dresses are beautiful, but are often to pricey for someone on a graduate student budget.
