Sloppy Joe’s Pizza

I have to say, this is probably one of the best pizza places I have ever been to. Both food and service wise. The staff is friendly and kind. The food is delicious, and one of the best slices of pizza, I’ve ever had. I will in fact be back!

Great food and service. Place is very clean. All food was cooked great. Pizza crust was light and fluffy.

I’ll admit… the reason I even stopped here in the first place is because the name of the place caught my eye. The restaurant was clean, the prices were right and the food far exceeded my expectations. I went with the Utica greens pizza upon the owner’s suggestion and it is now a top contender for my favorite pizza topping of all-​time. If I am ever in the area again, I will make it a point to stop back.

The chicken wing roll ups — an innovative fusion of wings and egg roll are phenomenal. Seems like a friendly place.

I stopped in at Sloppy Joe’s Pizza recently for dinner takeout.
Located next door to Nicky Doodles, this casual pizza shop offers traditional and specialty pizzas (10″-16″-18″-slices), calzones, salads, wings, subs, wraps, burgers, appetizers, roll-​ups and cold drinks. The prices here are fair, cheese pizzas ($ 7.99-$ 10.99), specialty pizzas ($ 10.99-$ 17.99), and subs ($ 3.99-$ 7.49). Pizza slices are $ 2 (cheese)-$ 2.50 (specialty). $ 8.99 Weekday Daily Specials (with garlic bread) are offered here including Baked Ziti (Mon), Ravioli/​Meatball (Tue), Sloppy Lasagna (Wed), Chicken Parm/​Ziti (Thu), and Chicken Riggies (Fri), add side salad for $ 1.49.
The place is order at the counter with open kitchen area and there is ample self serve seating in the bright dining area.
For takeout, I ordered a Small Sloppy Joe Pizza ($ 10.99) and a Large Chicken Spiedie ($ 7.49), which was ready in about 15 minutes. The pizza I had was decent, which had a soft thin crust, topped with a sweet sloppy joe mixture of ground beef & sauce & minimal sprinkled melted cheese. The chicken spiedie tasted good, which had lettuce, tomato, grilled peppers & onions, melted cheese, but there were only a few tender pieces of marinated chicken on a soft white sub roll (cut in halves).
The service here was good and I was greeted as I entered the restaurant to order my food and thanked for stopping in as I carried out my order.

The Utica Greens pizza is a must have! The chicken wing & sloppy joe roll ups are dynamite! The family dinner special is an incredible price that can’t be beat!
