Nice and clean, updated bathrooms, free Wifi, a beer fridge for purchasing upon your arrival, continental breakfast, friendly staff, and friendly dogs on the premises… not a bad deal overall! Especially at about half the price of the other new glarus options. Continental breakfast seemed to be pastries, cereal, juice… enough to get you by for sure. Agreed that the walls are kind of thin, but it wasn’t a huge deal. I still slept great! This is a good middle point between the brewery and the downtown area, too. I wouldn’t hesitate returning or recommending.

Great value for the size and quality of the room we had. We had an enjoyable stay. Compared to other options near by, this should be your first choice.

Nice place. Basic room with air conditioning and cable TV and very clean. Really close to everything, and pet friendly so we were able to bring our dog. Room was a bit musty, but other than that everything was perfectly fine. Recommended.

Keeping in mind that this IS a motel, I would say it’s just OK. The rooms are clean and neat but as another reviewer noted, the walls are paper thin. When guests next door used the shower early in the morning, I thought a truck was rolling through our room. The window AC/heating unit is really loud when it cycles on and off. I should have brought ear plugs. When my wife went to use the shower, rusty water came out for about 10 seconds. It’s not that big of a deal. You deal with stuff like that in the«country». Towels are a bit thread bare and could be replaced. The continental breakfast is a nice unexpected touch for a motel. Swiss Aire Motel is OK. The important factor is that it is clean.

It’s cheap… Yes it’s cheap, but the walls are paper thin the upkeep was bad. Electrical sockets were off the wall. There was a section of a wall actually missing. The bathroom door doesn’t close and was missing trim. The bathroom was gross and wouldn’t drain. Beds were rocks. Wasn’t our first choice or second or even our 10th. I will say the staff was verynice. Yes it’s better than sleeping in your car but I would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

What a great value. Other than being a little far from downtown New Glarus, we had no complaints about our stay. Everything was just as we expected and the staff were both polite and accommodating to our needs. The free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast were both pleasant surprises. I see no reason to stay any place else next time I’m in town.

What a great place to stay! Don’t let the fact that it’s a motel fool you. It’s nothing like those skeezy places you find on the side of interstates where you might fear for your life. I was looking for an inexpensive place for my friends and I to stay while we were in town for the night. Swiss Aire was way cheaper than the two other places in town and by reading other Unilocal reviews, way better. It was $ 99 a night for two queen beds. Check-in was a breeze. A cute little King Charles Spaniel comes to greet you as you walk in the door and they charge you right away and then give you keys to your room. And when I say keys, I mean actual keys. One key was for the entrance into the hallway where our rooms were and the other key was to our room. The room was really nice and clean, and had all the standard hotel toiletries. I would definitely stay here before. It’s quiet and safe and cute. And how can you say no to a place that has a red cow outside? I know I couldn’t.

I’d take this place over the Chalet any day(night?). It may not look as fancy as the Chalet, but it’s $ 20 cheaper per night, it’s clean, it has heat and AC, the staff was really nice, and their cow is more cute — even if the Z’s are backward on one side…
