Good atmosphere, great calzone, big enough to share. We came here after New Glarus Brewery to have food and one last beer. The wait staff was very attentive and air conditioning was appreciated.

Pretty darn good! Interesting pizza combinations. We had the cheeseburger pizza, which overall tasted great, but was maybe a little bit soggy. My husband and I also each had a salad, which was extremely good. The beer list was good, but from the menu, I expected a draft beer, so was pretty surprised by the bottle. The server was very friendly and we had a really nice meal out on the patio. I’d go back, for sure!

We decided to bike the Sugar River State Trail. It starts at an old depot in New Glarus. As we biked out of town we passed the Sugar River Pizza Company. There were tons of patrons siting outside eating pizza, drinking beer, and having fun. That stuck with us for the next 48 miles, so when we got back, we decided to give it a try. It’s a new building right next to the bike bath. It has a large patio w/many table including some with fire-pits. Some of patio is covered and some is open. There are trees near by so you might find some shade. The greeted us warmly and seated us immediately on the patio. Our waitress arrived in a few minutes to take our drink menu. They claim to have over 80 craft brews, however, they were out of the first four beers we tried to order so that was a little disappointing. Two of those beers were showcased with a great write-up in their menu. I do wish our waitress would have mentioned what they were out of before we got our hopes up each time. We decided to try the appetizer platter which included fried cheese curds, sesame chicken bites, waffle fries and onion rings and we ordered it w/a marinara sauce and a buffalo sauce. Normally I skip waffle fries and onion rings but I’m so glad we got these. These were some of the best waffle fries I have had. Crispy, crunchy, well-seasoned, great flavor and texture. Same for the onion rings — perfectly thin and crunchy, tasty coating. The curds were gooey and flavorful. The chicken bites were unique in that they had a bunch of sesame seeds in the coating but otherwise were pretty standard. Everything in that platter was fried perfectly. For pizza we had a thin crust Amazon Delux. It included Pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms. The sausage was delicious and really stood out. The crust was buttery and tasty. My only complaint was that it was not crisp. You definitely needed to use a fork or two hands and the crust was limp and couldn’t stay flat if you lifted it up. Despite the crust and being out of the beers we wanted, we really enjoyed the food at the ambiance at the Sugar River Pizza Company. I definitely recommend it if you are in New Glarus.

This was our first stop when we got into town. Excited to start the weekend and start drinking! They have an amazing beer selection. Was even able to find a beer for my girlfriend… who. hates. Beer.– still hard for me to grasp that mentality lol We grabbed two apps– breadsticks with cheese with marinara and ranch for dipping and fried ravioli. The breadsticks were ok– a little too dry for me, the marinara was cold and the homemade ranch was delish. The fried raviolis were perfect. The service was excellent! The waitress was helpful, attentive, and so nice!

Stopped here for our first night in New Glarus. We had a lovely bacon cheeseburger pizza that came with a plate of pickle slices which added a lot to each bite! Our server was extremely friendly and helped us pick out a beer we’d like from their long list of drinks. Definitely recommend!

The space is clean, stylish and comfortable. Staff members we interacted with were very friendly and efficient. The beer and wine list is impressive. We had an appetizer and a chicken alfredo pizza. Things were good, but could’ve been executed better. Our pizza looked fantastic, crispy crust with a medium done top. When I came up from my first bite, a huge spinach leaf and hot cheese followed. I would later fall prey to a thick slice of raw mushroom posing as a chicken strip. Again, pulled the whole darn thing off and on to my chin. I am accident prone, but these toppings were huge! Good concept, needs work.

Wonderful pizza and fantastic beer selection. Terrific servers– always! Karen was amazing. Great location for a business meeting. We reserved for 20 upstairs and they made room for more. We will be back again!

What a gem! Beer: Unbelievable beer list. However, there is no draft beer. We shared a bomber from Toppling Goliath(only $ 7). All of the beers have their Beer Advocate rating listed next to the beer. Food: Grissini breadsticks — These were so good! Wheat breadsticks with olive oil, garlic, and cheese. Baked potato pizza — we had worries that this would show up as a soggy mess but boy were we wrong. Hand-tossed crust, ranch dressing, perfectly cooked waffle fries, bacon, and Wisconsin cheese! We ordered the smallest size(10 inch) and took half of it home as leftovers. We had a great experience at Sugar River!

Wonderful place! Comfortable atmosphere. Attentive staff. Our waitress Kelly was on point! The pizza was very good. Not a thing wrong with it. And all the wines are by the glass, but they use a wine preservation system to avoid oxidation! Yay. Easily recommend this pizzeria!

This place is always busy it seems and I’m not surprised. The restaurant is bright and modern and the pizza is truly delicious. From the crust to the sauce to the spice in the meats, everything is the right taste.

Dined at Sugar River Pizza tonight and had 2 delicious pies and a tasty lasagna. Pizza had a hand-tossed crust with just the right amount of density to hold up the generous helping of locally sourced cheese and toppings. Sausage was just right — well spiced and very lean. My friend had the lasagna and she said it was great — al dente pasta with a savory tomato/sausage sauce and plenty of cheese. AMAZING craft and import beer selection with the obvious local brews like New Glarus but also many bottles from Belgium and Germany. Seriously the best pizza in town!

Definitely a solid pizza place. The have about 10+ unique pizzas and a create your own option on top of pasta, sandwiches, and salad. One has the option to dine inside or outside and they have those awesome tables outside with fire-pits built in! That would probably be awesome at night. The have a large beer list(80+ beers), not tap, but hey quite the list all the same. They were out of the particular beer I ordered so I was given a free beer of similar quality/taste! Awesome. The prices for the beer were very reasonable with most being at the $ 5-$ 7 mark — no way you are getting those prices elsewhere! We ordered a 16″ large with spinach and banana peppers — thin crust. It did not disappoint. The red sauce was perfect and actually had flavor — something a lot of pizza places lack these days! The toppings were plentiful and there was more than enough gooey cheese to go around. The service was very quick and friendly! The little girl dining at a table near us had a birthday and was served a fried dough concoction with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. It took a lot of self-control to prevent«wandering fork syndrome.» Overall a solid spot and a great destination for groups just returning or going to New Glarus for some brews.

Great craft beer selection. Patio area is fantastic and feels upscale in a smaller town. We had the bbq chicken pizza and wings. Both were very good. Owner obviously loves to talk about craft beers, make recommendations, and share new beers with patrons

Bad service, Ordered a Taco pizza(half w/o beef) and were told it wasn’t possible because the sauce would ‘run’! Service was extremely slow, Waitress was not warm and welcoming. The food was average. Good beer menu.

Please visit this place if you are in the mood for pizza. As a Chicagoan who loves pizza I wish this place was in my neighborhood! Chicken parm pizza and mac and cheese pizzas were amazing. Staff was very friendly and from the looks of it they have a great outdoor seating area(we visited in winter) Would come back in a heartbeat!

Bread sticks… check. Pizza… check. Salad… check. Grilled sandwich… check. Super crazy beer list including new Glarus… check. All good to really good. A must stop if you’re in the area and have kids. That dough is to die for. Service is a little off but otherwise good.

While walking around charming downtown New Glarus we came across SRP’s cute super modern outside fire tables, and we knew we had to check it out! We were greeted by the owner and his wife immediately. They were very patient as we waited for our friends and chatted with us while we relaxed on the patio. We got the capresee flatbread, nachos and Mac and cheese bites as appetizers. All were quite good, the Mac and cheesy bites even had done heat! I got the tropical pizza with hand tossed crus, it was really cheesy and great! Taco pizza was awesome and comes with a toppings basket so you can customize with lettuce, tortilla chips and sour cream. BBQ chicken pizza and buffalo chicken were birth good, but had quite a bit of heat. The chef seemed to have a heavy hand with the jalapeños so be sure to ask about spicey-ness if you are sensitive to it! Will definitely go back when I’m in town!
